I can’t blame him wanting to be closer to home. I’d like to think he’d become a good manager one day. The work he did here with the little he had was exceptional.

    Wish him all the best.

Your problem with me is that I don’t sing the baseless tune that you keep humming

If you equate me stating that people including myself are right to be wary of Hilton but it’s fair to just give him a chance to me blowing smoke up his rear end, you have issues.

I’m being fair. I’m not quite sure what you’re being but I know whatever you’re up to isn’t helping.

Saving the pristine pitch Awaywego. The planning is we win all our friendly away games which will result in us being hardened warriors away from home.

An important part of “Project Piss The League”

There is a difference between being sceptical and a difference between choosing to act like Interested Bystander. I say as I’ve said before, he’s not even a Scunthorpe United fan. In my opinion he’s nothing more than shit stirrer who like to cause disruption and division.

Iron insider is a cut from the same cloth. I get people are wary of Hilton, you’re right to. I can’t say I’m comfortable in trusting and being as heavily reliant on one man but just give him a chance.

No doubt he could be rotten but he also could be good for us. Case of watch this space !

If he can’t manage Nelson could step right in. I like what he did with us before Dean came in.

Will one of the CBs get number 5 from Elliott?

Can’t say I’m that interested in all fairness. I don’t care what numbers they wear as long as they all play well and contribute to us having a successful season.

Not sure i agree with WGs this time on his .. “HMS piss the league”

That was sarcasm on my part. I’m surprised you didn’t realise that when reading the post in question.

Still in shock Cosmos betrayed us. The chance to travel on the esteemed ship “HMS Piss The League” was too much for him.

On a more serious note does anybody know if we were looking at any other wingers besides old Cosmos ?

You need help bystander. Hilton’s living rent free in your head.

Getting a bit silly now. Ok he’s had a bankruptcy order served 22 years ago, not the greatest situation to be in but 22 years is a long time.

You honestly do need real help.

    Need an Ogle contract update

Ogle’s staying put. Definitely need another striker and need a replacement for Wilson. In regards to Rance I’m genuinely confused as he’s spent the last 2/3 seasons picking up niggling injury after niggling injury.

Factor in he didn’t show hardly anything last season, it makes the extension even weirder. Putting that to one side, another striker and a right winger and we’ll be all set.

Makes a difference getting them in on contracts early and not having a raft of loan players and bargain bin specials coming to the club on the week before the season starts.

Cosmos staying at Brackley, announcement on club website earlier this afternoon.

Ill my eye, he clearly wanted to stay where he was in the end.

Should give the MF some balance.
As for enough MFs, IMO your list includes 2 squad players, 2 crocks and an unproven kid. Don’t forget Law and Clunan which should be enough.

I forgot about Laws and Clunan. A lot of options there and I can’t for the life of me see why Dean wanted Rance to stay around. Still need a striker and a winger now old Cosmos is staying put.

Kian Scales formerly of Bradford City who’s Listed as an attacking CM who’s able to cover RB.

Don’t we have enough CM players already ?

Now we have Scales, Beestin, Shrimpton, Rance, Pugh and Robertson.

Dean won’t be playing that system he played last season, surely ?

You never know Hilton may actually do what he say’s he’s going to do. Why not give him a chance and see if that’s the case instead of all the suspicion and all these accusations all of the time ?

    Ross barrows

He’ll be the cover for Ogle we need. Replace Wilson, another striker or two and we’ll be good. As already mentioned there can be no excuses now as these players are exactly who Dean want’s to bring in.

Dean said himself nobody apart from himself and Turnbull are involved in player recruitment.

Not too sure on the green offering but the other two are nice. The green kit could have done with some white on it to brighten it up a bit. It looks a little dull/dark.

That’s a person thing though as I’ve never liked dark football shirts. In my opinion they always tend to look a little “flat”.

Mansfield fans have all said he’s a good player and was starting to show his worth back of last season. The opinion from their fans was that in his sub appearances last season showed he’s a league 2 player and shouldn’t be at the level we’re at.

Going by what I’ve read he appears to be another top signing.

All we need now is a right sided player to fill Wilson’s place, 1 RB to offer competition to Ogle, Another striker to go with Whitehall and Elliot and possibly another CB.

I think he has a right to say what he said. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it personally with all the shit he’s copping. I think I’d snap if I was in his position.

Hilton maybe Swann mark 2 but why not give the bloke a chance first to see if he actually does what he says he’s going to.

Hilton would need to have a screw loose to post under his former name. Why would he not choose a completely different posting name nobody suspects would be him ?

Hilton would be a bit daft to sign up on there to that name wouldn’t he, come on ?

Not going to happen. We all knew what Swann was after doing when he signed the clubs assets over to his company. From that day forward we were fecked.

Moving to Gainsborough is hardly ideal but if that’s what it takes to get rid of Swann and have our own assets back, then so be it.

Can’t blame him can you really ?. I’ve said before it’s down to one person this has happened and the buck stops with Swann. Fans need to at least give Hilton a chance.

Hilton said during the interview the other week there will be a minimum of another 5 players in. Ogle decided to stay. Wilson and Butterfield as you said above, decided to move on.

I’m sure Hilton said regarding more players coming in that some contracts had already been agreed so whether he’ll be announcing them when the players holiday period is up is anybody’s guess.

It was only announced on twitter we were in for him last week, May 28th. Hilton said during the questions and answers earlier in the week there is a minimum of another 5 to come in and deals have already been agreed.

Lambert was one of the best players at that level last season.

I’ll play devils advocate here, what happens if Hilton does go through with what he’s saying and a training facility and ground is built.

Wouldn’t you all feel a bit stupid after all the suspicion being thrown Hilton’s way ?

From what I gather the so called “fans” who are talking utter nonsense on twitter aren’t tied to Hilton, it seems they’re burner accounts just causing division being utter arseholes.

I’ve seen a number of Bury fans at it on twitter. There was one on there the other talking about the club and Hilton winding up United fans.

All stems from when Hilton tried to buy them but they subsequently went bust.

I wouldn’t take much notice of those accounts on there if I was you. No doubting there is uncertainty surrounding the club but we all knew that was the case once Swann signed over the clubs assets to his company.

The day he did that we were always going to be in big trouble. If it is to be believed and there were things over looked by Swann when agreeing to sell the club and he isn’t willing to iron them out before Hilton purchased the ground then I’m not surprised he backed out.

As I said above, the day Swann signed over the club assets to his company he had us over a barrel. The day he did that we were fecked. Only thing we can do is half a clean break from Swann which sadly means moving out of GP, or shall I say being kicked out.

Only problem is were now firmly relying on Hilton now to follow through to what he says so were in a precarious position regardless. Fingers crossed he comes good though.

The club isn’t on a position I’m comfortable with being a fan but nothing we can do really, apart from hoping and wishing that Hilton sticks to his word.

AA was on here in the old forum days, so he is a fan.

I used to also be a member on there for many years and I can’t ever remember seeing him on there. I think you’re telling porkies, siderite. You weren’t on there either from what I remember.

AA is a dodgy burner account. Funny AA turns up specially to stick it to Hilton.

Wasn’t he/it the same poster who told us about that daft hit piece regarding Hilton on the code fishy forum to read that stupid article about Hilton insinuating he was some kind of criminal mastermind/gangland boss ?

Where Hilton is concerned he could be another dodgy chairman but until he gives me reason to doubt him, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
