I’ve stuck the boot into Jimmy plenty of times, but can’t blame that on him tonight. Hit the bar twice, scored a legitimate goal and Fitz has ended up doing what we’ve all feared he’d do for a while.
We played well tonight. I didn’t think Clunnan worked pushed further up. I would have played Clarke, but apart from that he got it pretty spot on.
That ref tonight was absolutely appalling. I’m still confused at what he thought he saw. Butterfield was about a yard away from their keeper who palms it into his own goal and he blows for the foul.
What the hell was he watching ?
Can’t blame Dean for that tonight. A mixture of bad luck, shite ref and a lax goalkeeper cost us.
Only slight gripe about Dean is choosing Clunan as an advanced midfielder. Wouldn’t playing Clarke there be a better idea ?
We win at Spennymoor it’s down to 8 point gap which is still a huge gap to bridge with the games left. Not impossible but highly unlikely.

Roberts and Corbett were both great. Corbett looks a real talent.
Good day today. Another clean sheet, another goal for Whitehall and even a goal for Clunan.
Robert’s got 20+ minutes and Clarke got some good minutes into him and looked solid. We are at last playing like an actual NLN team now and not a bargain bin Pep Guardiola Barcelona.
When he was playing in the U23s he came up against some tough championship defenders – he didn’t back out and they didn’t frighten him.
Just don’t like what has happened to him, if he moves I will wish him the best and hope he comes up against those that have not helped him.
Wilson has had game time though and hasn’t really delivered.
Wilson needs to take it upon himself to work on his physique/strength as he far too lightweight. I will however say there is definitely a player in there, no lacking of talent, but lacks any real kind of consistency.
One thing he needs is game time. If we had the money as a club I’d sign him to another 1yr contract and loan him out, but we can’t afford to do that so he’ll probably move on come the end of the season.
Agreed – don’t get too excited as the teams we’ve played have been garbage. However, our style of play has definitely changed.
Where have I typed that I’m over excited and claiming we’ve morphed into Brazil ?. All I was commenting on is our big change up in playing style and how he look much better because of it.
don’t get too excited after playing two of the worst teams we’ve ever shared a pitch with
I was speaking more of the change up of our playing style than the quality we were up against. The pre “job hanging on by a thread Dean” would have had us playing the pass, pass style without going anywhere.
There’s certainly been a big change up.
Send Yummy back and loan in a defender!
According to Dean we’re going to go with what we’ve got. Impression he gave off is that he’ll be praying to god either Boyce or Max don’t pick up an injury or a red card in the next 3 matches.
Evans is out for 4 games but we can recall Barrows after the next 3. Very risky.

It’s 4 games Evans will be out for due to it being his second straight red card according to Dean. I heard it in his post match interview.
According to Jimmy, Evans was sent off for a supposed knee in the face, but didn’t even knee the player in the face. Dean seems to think we may have grounds for an appeal.
I don’t think it will get overturned, but we may get a game off his suspension. Evans is due to be out for the next 4 matches due to it being his second red card.
So just Boyce and Kouogun as central defensive options for the next three games. Down to the bare bones!
Barrows we can’t recall for another 3 weeks so we’re pretty much screwed if Max or Boyce pick up an injury or a red card. Fingers crossed we’re ok for the next 3 games.
I couldn’t understand at the time why we loaned at Barrows. I get he wanted 1st team football, but we need adequate cover for the run in.
Didn’t Michelle confirm that we’d be FT next season irrespective of the league we’re in?
No, I’m pretty sure she said we’ll remain full time regardless of what league we’re in.
I’ll save you the trouble cassidy, statistically “not opinion based” If you actually look at the stats Sembie Ferris has indeed added more in terms of assists and goals since he’s come back from his loan than Roberts has this season.
They are pretty terrible in all fairness and are in freefall. I feel a 2 or 3 nil victory to us on Saturday with Corbett hopefully getting a start and playing well.
Youmbi didn’t do much at Farsley, played 17 games games without scoring. Sanfran, Corbett doesn’t need to be the most talented player at Peterborough to perform well at this level. They have a really strong squad and as a result has simply become the forgotten man.
I did see on twitter a number of their fans did say he was underrated and that he had something to offer, but just because he’s deemed as not being good enough at that level doesn’t mean he won’t flourish at this one.
Billed as a creative wide player so let’s just see what he offers.
You post up the assists and goals Roberts added during his playing stint and I’ll compare it to Sembie Ferris’s contribution. Then you can laugh or sulk depending on how right or wrong you are.
As they say… “put up, or shut up”
You forgot the lad on loan from Bradford via Farsley Cliff. Understandable as we’ve not really seen him.
That’s because he’s not very good. Let’s hope this Corbett he signed is as good as he thinks he is, because if he’s similar to Smith we’re on to a winner.
A creative wide player is what we’ve been crying out for since Smith left and Roberts suffered injury. I will however say that Sembie Ferris has brilliantly since coming back.
According to what Jimmy said, Roberts is 2 weeks away from being fully back, but no doubt will take another few weeks to get up to speed.
Typical geriatric humour no doubt. Typo of course. The culprit being a missing

Richie Bennett did is a right favour scoring for Southport !
According to Dean he comes math fit, but just doesn’t have much 1st team experience. Jimmy described him as a creative wide player, similar in playing style to Connor Smith.
Dean watched him last week against Sheff Wednesday reserves and liked the look of him so fingers crossed he’s the business.
Youmbi needs sending back now, complete waste of time him even being here. I’d send Law out on loan as soon as he’s back to get minutes into him too.
Sembre-Ferris is playing well as well
I was going to comment on that. I think since his arrival back he’s added more to the team than Roberts in all fairness. If we indeed make the play off’s, I’d at least have Bennett on the bench as he’s someone we haven’t got currently, A genuine targetman.
I can see somebody like him being fairly useful in the play off’s, even if it’s to scrap for balls late on.
I was expecting somebody with experience, yet it appears he’s another inexperienced kid.

Well Fin Shrimpton has settled in well there. Created goal, scored a goal and now got a MOM against Darlington.
It just goes to show just how over skilled this squad is for this level of football. The fringe players of ours go out and dominate games for other sides.
It begs the question what a top manager at this level would have done with this group.

We were playing utter trash, but putting that to one side we at least played attacking football. Pugh further forward looked a different player and as a result looked like the Hereford version of Pugh.
Beestin was much better as was Whitehall. Clarke even came on and scored a screamer.
Midfield looked much more robust without Scales in there.
Has Dean stumbled across a half decent central midfield trio ?
I thought Dean was mental playing Beestin out wide but him tucking in further strengthened central midfield area.
Dean has been playing possum, he’s been a tactical genius all along.
I just hope we don’t revert back to type against Spennymoor.

It’s been prolonged since he arrived IMO. Still, you never know. Maybe he and the players will miraculously turn it on.
Yes, no doubt we will against them as they’re that bad. Normal service will resume vs Spenymoor.
Not just performing poorly, Boyce will also be suspended soon after his red card, which makes this decision slightly baffling.
Yes, the one match ban will kick in against Spennymoor. I don’t understand moving him on loan because it makes us really bare now in not one but two positions.
Wouldn’t it have made more sense to send Clarke and Youmbi back and save money there ?
Anything less than a convincing three points for us tomorrow and he’s gone
The match tomorrow shouldn’t be used as a measuring stick as they’re are absolutely terrible. We should be beating them convincingly anyway, even in bad form.
All a win tomorrow will do is just prolong the whole thing. Dean should already be gone !
Can we really afford to lose a defender while the one’s who are starting are performing so poorly ?
Barrows is cover at RB too. A bit of a strange one !
