The Allams are a complex family, their way or no way. As per the OP they’ve poured millions in for the university and hospitals, and ran a very tight financial ship at the football club. That said the old man is deluded and obsessed with Hull Tigers, and by his own admission is not a football fan. Sad really as it could/should have ended so differently , but good riddance quack!

Maybe we are not in such a bad position as we are thinking, there will be lots of cash when we start selling off the 160 appartments that are being built, does anyone know when the first batch will be completed, I haven’t been down to GP for over a year.

    8 be built on.
Maybe it’s worse as Coolsilk, not SUFC, own the land the apartments will* be built on.

    * Could, may, building to start later this year, next year, next decade.

“Any bets on how long one of mine from GBN would last”.

Why stop at one video Alcy, when 20 per day is the norm. “One of mine?”. None of them were yours!!

Just as the James O’Brien one isn’t Gurnys, but posted by him.
BTW: any of you ever stopped to wonder WHY I suddenly started flooding the NF side with videos I knew would get up your noses, yet never defended them?

It had the desired effect, eventually, esp. when BigJ etc joined in.

If you don’t believe me, ask Matt what I said to him a year or more back.

It didn’t bother me, it was just UGDV. :-)

The artist called Meatloaf will now be known as burnt toast.

    Or brown bread.

Anyone have an idea how much the loan is? Hull’s new Turk, replacing two turds, has paid their EFL loan back. Rumour at the time was it was for 500k, but it turns out it was actually £2.5 million!

Its not worth the hassle any more,I got to the 3rd page and it was mainly awful threads or posts designed to provoke.I won’t be back long and matt hasn’t time

Better to go away then and leave it as it was. Far from good, but at least it was there. Users then have a choice to use it or not.

Don’t know what posters don’t understand about someone being given moderator rights by the site owner and whingeing about posts and threads disappearing. News alert – you don’t run the site and other forums are available.

I don’t understand why someone would be mistaken/mendacious and claim no threads have not been deleted today, when I know for a fact they have. Hey ho.

“…it doesn’t alter the fact he is right” (without x we’d be non-league.)
We aren’t non-league? We could be.
“Wolfie” was critical of Steve Wharton and the same with Peter Swann (has the penny dropped yet?)
Never did he once praise Scunthorpe United through the “glory years”- his dislike of Brian Laws has been well documented.
It’s a wonder he hasn’t been more prominent on the site in the last couple of years, gloating of their decline.

Incorrect, he praised the financial prudence of Wharton, as against, at that time, clubs like Hull and Cardiff. Fact

Strangely enough as I read this there is a Kayak advert above offering “hotels in Blackpool from £17”!

Had you pegged more as a Canoeist from Seaton Carew! ;-)

Oblivion? As I said on another post football does exist outside the PL & EFL, the National League has clubs arguably bigger than 20 current league 2 teams.

Nobody wants to get relegated but you are such drama queens.

I think very few of the twenty ‘smaller’ league teams would swap league status with these ‘bigger’ clubs. In fact I’m of the opinion the figure is zero.

I remember the heady days of the sit in at Boothferry park after Paul Baker scored late on. Happier times (this side of the bridge)!

Happy days. “Some supporters, let’s call them that will soon shut up when they see the quality of football on offer.” Martin Fish, shortly afterwards Scunny came to town! :-)

Maybe/could be/just perhaps this is the sort of game you’ll win and it’ll be just reward for those that attend. Of course in years to come the few that were there will miraculously turn into thousands.

I like a good football protest, heaven knows I’ve seen enough of them*, but ultimately they’re a waste of time. The owner usually goes at a time of their choosing, and on their own terms. Allam out!

*My favourite one was away to Torquay when a City fan jumped from the terrace and slapped a Sack Dolan sticker (I still have one as a souvenir ) on Terry Dolan’s bald patch. Dolan didn’t realise and it was there for some time.

I posted this about Rodwell weeks ago. As for the ownership, two turds go and a Turk* comes in, if a takeover happens. Interesting times as ever. Oh and on last night’s display (God alone knows where that came from) Tom Eaves won’t be crossing the bridge. 🙂

    * He travels more than Michael Palin!

I hope for Alcazar’s sake Swann doesn’t pick up on this.

Or Hu*berside plod. They recently banned a Hull fan for ‘persistent gobbing off’, oddly enough I can’t find that anywhere on the statute book.

Some people will except boring football if they win, even me, but we didn’t win so it was all just a waste of time.

    I’ll accept that. 😋

” If anyone is being selfish BS it is you, you must be at least 80 yes old, why should society be looking after you? can’t imagine your contributing to the wealth of the nation anymore in fact you are drawing a pension and are a drain on the NHS, whereas many of those 10 to 15% you refer to are paying national insurance and taxes to get hospital treatment, Which is not free it all and as to be paid for by taxpayers, no doubt you contributed as well but they never envisaged people would live as long as people are nowadays so do us all a favour and help out in a way that you know you can.”

If it’s a joke please post the punchline, if you’re serious get fu….

Rumour has it he’s lined up to be CEO for Hull’s new owner, if a new owner completes the purchase. Can’t find it on here, but I said he’d wash up somewhere else.

I’m fairly sure God is not a Brighton fan.

Does not work too well in the Championship TW but quite useful at the arse end of League 2. Sounds like Loft but he does not always bother with the tackling bit.

Always gave us a hard time when he was at Gillingham. Worked like a dog and seemed to enjoy the scrap. 10 goals a season man rather than 20 but we would kill for a 10 a season man now

    Ditto for 10 a season. 😊

Allegedly he turned a move down at the start of the season to fight for his place, aka the two year deal he was offered elsewhere was equivalent to the one year he had left on his present deal. A whole hearted player that is often fouled with the ref giving nothing, oh and he has the first touch of a sideboard, his second touch is usually him making a tackle. 🙂
