Good luck Andy on being appointed our manager, you have my full support as would anyone appointed into the position. Make good your claims of us being the fittest team in the league it was soul destroying watching part time teams looking far fitter and more committed than we were last season. I know fitness alone does not win football matches but it does help.

Completely agree with this and I’m sure as Andy Butler mentioned it he saw it as an issue.

Joey Barton anyone? Ticks a lot boxes for some; passionate, loyal, a geezer, and he’s available. And he’s cheap, judging by his recent outpourings.

Lol…. a good majority of the fan base, employees and the owner are female, so that may be an issue.

Don’t think Lawsy is up for it, too long out of the game and enjoying retirement although will make BPG happy.

I honestly have no idea it will be interesting who applies, if the job is advertised. Maybe Binface if he doesn’t get the Mayor gig?

Jimmy is obviously gutted and the way he spoke appeared very past tense, reading into that I cannot imagine him staying.

It appears to be time for a change and fans vote with their feet. Who knows how the board see it but anything is possible.

Crozzer would be a great shout but not sure where he’s based and perhaps unrealistic financially… yes he was Adkins’ number 2 and Nigel is the great motivator, but Crozzer is the ultimate professional. Perhaps his number 2 could be a great motivator, could that be Andy Butler? Doubt Nelson would return, both due to travelling and how things went last time.

All ingredients to add to the spice of what could be a really good day. Hope everyone going enjoys themselves and the team play a blinder to get through, it won’t be easy but I’m positive. Hoping for a Roberts masterclass of tricky wing play.

Dull game. Both teams cause issues with long throws. Would Like to think both can be beaten at home on Saturday

I thought it was embarassing, realising that GP couldn’t hold the numbers for a major event(what impression does that give?)and being suddenly moved to a car showroom.

Was that neccesary as Apollo says or a bit of Vanity for someone?

In response to your question, i’d rather hear from Modern day players(Bish would be a good one), or some club legends.

How about getting the 1999 play off team back together? or Adkins’s title winners? that would be good.

Think Jerry would be a better shout

I don’t think it’s ever been more of a certainty that there will be a change in government.

So after last night Brackley enter the top 4 admittedly played 1 game more and a few points behind but situations can change badly very quickly with a couple of back to back defeats. Need a brave manager who is attack minded from now on.

Does that mean we need a new manager or are you suggesting a change in mentality for JD ?

Completely agree. Looks like they are getting things right and he has them scoring goals which isn’t bad for an ex defender / defensive midfielder.

Not sure on who else either!

I’d get Nelson in until end of season and have Butler assisting him. Nelson showed enough last time in temporary charge and knows the club. Least when Nelson took charge he had us playing attractive, attacking football with 2 up top.

Way more than what we’re getting with Dean.

It feels like that ship has sailed, for both parties. Is he currently coaching or managing at Chester-Le-Street? He did a good job at the time and what happened with that may have either left a sour taste.. or maybe unfinished business. The comments about JD being put on ‘gardening leave’ to save money were creative, I never thought of that.

Not sure on Butler as manager. Not sure on who else either!
Perhaps someone who has a real pedigree for developing young players, although other lower league teams have gone for that approach and its backfired.
