Brian Laws reading from the book of Genesis could be a crowd pleaser
Would never have happened in a Brian Clough team.
So after last night Brackley enter the top 4 admittedly played 1 game more and a few points behind but situations can change badly very quickly with a couple of back to back defeats. Need a brave manager who is attack minded from now on.
Does that mean we need a new manager or are you suggesting a change in mentality for JD ?
Why so late with the call? Ridiculous for travelling supporters

Completely agree. Looks like they are getting things right and he has them scoring goals which isn’t bad for an ex defender / defensive midfielder.
You could read something into that
Not sure on who else either!
I’d get Nelson in until end of season and have Butler assisting him. Nelson showed enough last time in temporary charge and knows the club. Least when Nelson took charge he had us playing attractive, attacking football with 2 up top.
Way more than what we’re getting with Dean.
It feels like that ship has sailed, for both parties. Is he currently coaching or managing at Chester-Le-Street? He did a good job at the time and what happened with that may have either left a sour taste.. or maybe unfinished business. The comments about JD being put on ‘gardening leave’ to save money were creative, I never thought of that.
Not sure on Butler as manager. Not sure on who else either!
Perhaps someone who has a real pedigree for developing young players, although other lower league teams have gone for that approach and its backfired. It was awful. No getting away from it and feel for those who travelled. Hope some heart is shown in the next match.

He falls on the 9 mostly so it gets grubby?
Quality!
Always found the manufacturer to be decent so I assume the club have minimal kit to save cash!
Their manager appears to be switched on

You beat me to it NI !!
If I had Whitehall in the secret santa…. I’d buy him one of those Balotelli ‘Why always me?’ T-Shirts !!
Elliot’s clearly not a lone striker. Funny thing is we’ve been saying it for ages !
Funny thing is he’s scored goals above this level. What are we doing to strikers these days when they used to flourish here?
What happened to the days where BadApple used to be on here berating you and calling you Wonder Bowels ?!
Times have changed and its tough watching the team these days.
Forum always busier after a loss!!

Paul Harsley has the coaching pedigree, is local, knows the club. Perhaps has some links at a higher level.

Drive through coffee joints, seem to be popping up as often as Kurdish barbers.
Or those very convenient red convenience stores
I think it’s an unfortunate human trait in management; you always have your favourites. Good managers can work around that whilst not so good ones can isolate people

Could Nelson be tempted back, or has that ship well and truly sailed?
Home win then
Dear oh dear what a mess
Can anyone translate this topic please?
The football manager database is incredibly accurate with player statistics including injury proneness and professionalism !
A few quad ?? Is that you writing Rene or officer Crabtree ?!

Threads not threats …. Where’s the edit option gone ?!
I used to love these ‘worth a punt’ threats in the glory years. The fact that player recruitment is a topic for active discussion shows things are on the up.
Like anything in life, it’s fair to say there are good commentators and bad ones, some obvious and others open to personal preference. It’s not as simple as basing it on gender. Some excellent managers had top level playing careers, others didn’t.
It would be interesting for Emma Hayes to manage an EFL/EPL team. Were just seemingly random one-offs? Seems odd for Scottish clubs to come down mid-season for a friendly game, especially back then.
In the late 50’s and early 60’s we did have scouts in Scotland and we did sign from north of the border. Cannot remember the players name but we signed someone from Campsie Black Watch, and there were others I believe.
Who scouted Perry Cotton?
Everyone chill…. help yourselves to a coke and smoking goat burger ! The team will gain promotion
