Completely agree. Looks like they are getting things right and he has them scoring goals which isn’t bad for an ex defender / defensive midfielder.

It feels like that ship has sailed, for both parties. Is he currently coaching or managing at Chester-Le-Street? He did a good job at the time and what happened with that may have either left a sour taste.. or maybe unfinished business. I used to love these ‘worth a punt’ threats in the glory years. The fact that player recruitment is a topic for active discussion shows things are on the up.

Like anything in life, it’s fair to say there are good commentators and bad ones, some obvious and others open to personal preference. It’s not as simple as basing it on gender. Some excellent managers had top level playing careers, others didn’t.
It would be interesting for Emma Hayes to manage an EFL/EPL team.
