Are they thinking that if they play poorly enough for long enough then Jimbob will be sacked?

Have they calculated (way back) that they’ll still probably qualify for the playoffs by picking the odd point up here and there along the way?

If Jimbob was sacked, are they of the thinking that they can then hit the ‘gas pedal’ and cruise through the play offs?
