3 big centre backs for Southport… 0-0 then?
Looks nailed on now.
Would you rate anyone higher than 4/10 today?Sounds desperate so far….
It’s absolute rubbish.
You see better games at the elite Sunday league clubs.Five changes today ?????
They have a game of musical chairs every Friday afternoon. The last eleven sitting start!
Another boring game. They are useless, can’t put 3 passes together.
We’re not much better.I don’t think they’ve had a shot yet?
There was a thread titled something like – “NLN, what’s the standard of player”
Something like this:
Recalling happy days of a Friday night trip to Southport back in 1976. Me and three mates bombed up there in my old Ford Zephyr, saw a tidy enough game in which we came back with a point thanks to a Graham Collier equaliser. We were all happy as Larry on the way back singing and laughing till we realised I’d got on the M6 North and were only 80 miles from Carlisle. Yep we were green as grass back then but we sure had a laugh, got back into town around 1 in the morning, knackered but still laughing.
No Sat Nav back then of course :-)
He was a CF way, way back in the day.
Is he still playing?
He was with the U18s at one bit, way back.
A ‘huffer & a puffer’.Come on IRON!
18 defeats on the bounce going in to todays game against Banbury.
One they can win today?
Please God, give them a helping hand!
Just seen an absolute cracker from Iron Stats on Twitter.
We have not won a game in April for 6 years.
Bodes well for our play off chances.
I think it’ll be a 1-1 draw – I’d take that rather than a 0-0 bore draw.
Entertain us!Current form:
Southport
P8 W4 D3 L1 GF13 GA6 GD+7 Pts15Iron
P8 W4 D2 L2 GF12 GA7 GD+5 Pts14Bank holidays always throw up some strange scores – this could be one of them.
It wouldn’t surprise me if we saw something like:SP 3-0 Iron 60/1
SP 1-5 Iron 50/1Iron H2H at Southport:
P15 W2 D8 L5 GF22 GA31 GD-9 Pts1414 points from a potential 45.
However the stats and history has it looking like it’ll be another draw.
Southport 1-1 Iron 11/2
If we’ve eaten too many Easter eggs then it could be worse:
Southport 2-1 Iron 14/1
I see Spennymoor paid for their efforts against The Iron losing 2-0 to South Shields. If memory serves this has happened plenty this season, Rene has time on his hands so maybe he can be bothered to check.
I’ll have a check later.

After supporting the club for many years and through the pandemic, we have been told our box next season will be going up from£3000 to £7000+vat,I don’t mind paying a cost of living rise or abut more to support my club but think this price rise is a little excessive, anyone else had notice of price rises, season ticket holders etc???
Is your ‘box’ only available to use on game days/nights (12:00 to 18:00 ish?)
Or, can you use it during the week too?It was another jog, jog, jog day.
Holiday countdown timers activated.Needs a strike partner and to man up and stop the amateur dramatics.
He’d rattle in 35 a season at this level then. We’ve had too large a squads for many a year now.
A 22 man squad at this level should suffice.
We’d save a few quid if we had just the two first team coaches plus Muzzy instead of three plus Muzzy.

Absolute rubbish.
Denton is useless.
Pugh is half the player he was at Hereford.
Whom would you keep? Ogle?Drab game so far.
A lack of passing accuracy from the Iron.
Fitz needs telling that we are in Claret.
Loads of corners – poor delivery on all of them.
Kougan & Denton need to improve quickly in the game… I’d attack us down our left back area.
Get DSF on, go three at the back.
Clunan needs to play forward more.
Butterfield can’t hit a barn door today.
Ogle is doing ok.
Scrappy game.
Not confident.
They’ll possibly grab a lucky goal against the run of play. Not an easy one to call this but im going for a score draw .. 1-1 or 2-2 , KL on a good run and too many sides as well as raise their game when playing us also have our measure… obviously i hope im wrong and we thump them 3-4 nowt.
Happy Easter one n all ..just had a delivery of hot cross buns ready for tomorrow ..
They held Tamworth to a draw last week.
Margetts to score for them today?

Lynn’s manager, Adam Lakeland will be after a hat trick of wins against the Iron tomorrow.
Curzon Ashton 1-0 Iron 26/08/23
Kings Lynn 3-1 Iron 14/11/23
Iron ?-? Kings Lynn 29/03/24MY FORCAST FOR THIS GAME IS SCUNTHORPE 2 KINGS LYNN 1
ATTENDANCE BEING 4,077
That would do nicely.
We need that runners up spot.Tomorrow’s game is on NLTV.
Get Easter out of the way and Jimbob will be able to take his toys in before breaking up.
5th place down to 12th is still a mere 4 points.
I’m going to say the following Clubs will contest the playoffs:
Scunthorpe
Brackley
Chorley
Boston
Alfreton
SpennymoorIt’ll be interesting to see whom actually ends up in fifth, sixth & seventh place.
Match prices
Iron 2/7
Draw 19/5
Lynn 15/2Strange prices?
They’ve won 6 and drawn 4 from their last 10 games.
They last tasted defeat away from home on NYD.
4 wins and 3 draws from their 7 away games since Jan 1st.
GF in those 7 away games = 13
GA in those 7 away games = 7Weird correct score prices:
Shortest price correct score is 2-0 to Scunny at 24/5They see us more likely winning 4-0 (14/1) than Lynn winning 1-0 (20/1)
Looks likely to be a draw to me.
I’m thinking it’ll be one of:
2-1 Iron 15/2
1-2 Lynn 25/1
1-1 Draw 8/1
2-2 Draw 20/1A £1 on each of those scores would see a return ranging from £8.50 to £26.
Them sneaking a 0-1 is massive at 20/1
Spennymoor have taken 31 points out of an available 36 points over their last 12 games.
Have they peaked too soon?
Will their bubble burst or are they the form team and favourites to win the play offs? -
