    Would tend to agree.

Since we said goodbye to the likes of Madden, Wallace, Townsend, Holmes & Morris the players that have come in have combined to achieve a lower finish than the previous season each time.

That includes most of the ones we’ve released this summer including Gilliead, Eisa, McGahey & Bedeau.

It also includes a few Dom Vose types like, Dales, Olomola & Mooney.

Who’s to say we’d have done any better had they stayed?

The problem we have is the sheer volume of outgoings compared to the dearth of new arrivals. That, and knowing that at least half of those still under contract are not EFL standard.

Pity McMahon isn’t coming in as a replacement for the club clown Cox!!

    Hmm!

Ten games in, Cox and Lillis sacked, McMahon given manager’s job with new U18s coach as assistant.

    Method in the madness?

    He’s been there before.

    Gilliead, Eisa, Sutton, Novak.

We didn’t exactly set the league alight when we had them.

Will be interesting to see how they perform under Adams.

    Indeed.

They will have bought into Oldham’s sales pitch.

“We’re a bigger club than L2. We are aiming for promotion this season, and establishing ourselves as a Championship side in 3/4 years time”.

Remember when we could do that?

If Swanny can’t relieve our anxieties then perhaps UTI99 could explain what’s happening.

He/she appears to be the only one who’s unconcerned.

Unless there’s anyone else out there who thinks it’s all hunky-dory!

The SUFC official newsletter than just landed in my inbox is pathetic.

Season tickets are now on sale. Really?

Next season’s fixtures in full. Yeah they were automatically synced to my iPhone yesterday!

Anything on our new signing? No!

    Anything on future signings? No!

Anything on league debutants Sutton United? No!

Anything on the new kits? Ha ha ha!

    August?

Opening game of the 82/83 season and I took my newly wed bride to Victoria Park to witness a storming 0-0!

Close on forty years later and it remains the only ever Iron match she’s attended!

Bet ” passionate, brave Scotland ” would have settled for that.

    Ha,ha! Indeed.

A bit like “Braveheart” which was a load of old guff too!

Concerned that Kane looks leggy and Rashford doesn’t seem any better. Bet Southgate is ruing the decision not to include Ollie Watkins or Patrick Bamford.

Never have we witnessed such as dastardly trick since we tried to nobble the Hungarian team by putting dynamite in their boots….

    FOOTBALL CROWD ATMOSPHERE

Sellers: (BBC Announcer voice) And the teams are just coming on to the field now, Hungary versus England.

Seagoon: Ha-Ha. This is the end of the Hungarians, lads!

Sellers: The match was nearly called off because the British team forgot their football boots, but the Hungarians sportingly gave them theirs.

Neddy and Eccles: No, No! Stop the match! Stop! No!

Chairmen and owners come and go. If you’re a fan then you’re a fan for life.

As LK says, you are not the first. So hang on in there.

I’d echo the comments on the Trust thread. Sign up as a member for a paltry £10 for life!

At this point in time it may seem like pissing in the wind, but united we can make a difference.

Tonights match between Germany and Belgium was how football used to be played,

Germany haven’t played Belgium. They may have looked good against Portugal but were poor against France (who themselves looked lethargic against Hungary).

that James full back is the most pathetic fullback ever to play for England,

Yet he’s excellent when he plays for Chelsea.

the players continue to Take the Knee as they insist on being the only team to continue doing the waste of time activity that many supporters do not agree with.

Most do agree, and what’s more the players and coaches agree, so stop whinging.
