For the first time ever, at the start of this season, I thought that Beestin had finally become the player that he ought to be – one who does not just show flashes of brilliance and then disappears for a quarter of an hour at a time.
Then came the injury, Sigh.
He returns to first team action – and it is the former player that we see. Let us hope that it is only post-injury adjustment. We need Beestin at his best.More than a few.
I hope that Fitz has it explained to him the dangers of clearing to an unopposed opposition forward.
It’s not the first time. Corner conceded that was totally unnecessary. Lost a goal.
Sigh.
Can’t deny Boston a point. They played football 2nd half and we stopped playing football. Simples.
How many times did we lump the ball up-field – without any semblance of playing top of the division football.
Do this versus Tamworth and they’ll marmalise us!Okay. But that would have been fine in any case.
I wasn’t sure why it worked last week. Saturday 3pm and, if memory serves, there were Premiership games.
Anyway, I have been unable to get to GP too often recently – so it’s very welcome.Hmm. I wonder how long this will last?
Let’s not.

Whitehall misses too many straightforward goal chances with his head – but ‘top scorer’ in the NLN is hard to gainsay.
In an FA Cup game away at Pompey in 2004 – we lost 2-1.
Torps in for us – Sheringham in for them.
Torps was awesome that day – won just about every header and knocked it towards an Iron player.
Sheringham won every challenge he faced – every header straight to the FEET of a team mate.
Some great footie.
Sigh.We certainly have not got the best out of Elliott – yet.
Super!
We might play AB – yes. He could replace the top scorer in the division.
Let joy be unconfined!
The Solihull diving and turf-hugging was not quite up to Buxton standards.
Two appalling pieces of defending.
Last forecast I saw for Monday – Tuesday was dry.
Will this game be televised? – It’s not a Saturday.
Can we make Lee Turnbull a permanent fixture assisting commentators? – He is superb.
I listened to home commentary first half. Take the word ‘ultimately’ out of the guy’s vocabulary and there would only have been six words and a grunt per minute.
Such a relief to have Humberside to deign to give us commentary second half.Improbable.
Well. As long as Fitz stays fit.
I expect incoming on a quarter the wages.Don’t worry, Mick.
I was asked to play Santa but opted for a conscience get-out clause.1 user thanked author for this post.
Beestin. I remember him.
Wasn’t he supposed to be back about now?I do sorta feel that the supply to Whitehall is not really up to par.

‘Servicing the debt’ is a meaningless concept until we know what the % is.
4% would be awesome but 14% terrifying.Looks like Max is RFB as Will returns.
I’ve been pleased defensively with Boyce.Water under Keadby Bridge. (To use a regular quote from a long-departed local reporter)
We missed Will and his constructive forward play.
It was Clunan’s worst game I’ve seen.1 user thanked author for this post.
Ref – four notches below the dizzy heights of average!
Inconsistency was unbelievable.

The alternative view is that a good season – ie) top 7 – brings consolidation. The crowds are good and would continue to be if we are challenging again next season.
The top – say – 14 players can probably be afforded but it’s the rest who would probably all have to be employed on the cheap.
Also, promotion might actually bring financial issues into play. Sitting in the bottom third of the NL would see crowds deteriorate.
I know several supporters who want us to remain in this division until we are pretty certain we can be NL top half.
Me? – Dunno. -
