That was our worst home performance of the season by 100 miles, apart from a couple of good saves and a melee in their six yard box how they somehow kept us out we were pathetic, even Callum was out of touch today, then play the latter stages without a striker says it all, be fair to Radcliffe they didn’t look like a team at the bottom end, and the only plus was Fitzsimmons penalty save

Up there with one of the worst of the season but “fair to Radcliffe they didn’t look like a team at the bottom end” They really did, every opportunity they just hit it 50ft in the air and the passing was shaky.

We need tried and tested players for this league.

Probably played his last game for St mirren, let’s bring him home. (If he’s not jailed obviously)

Rose tinted specs again Awaywego?, we already have one contrary t**t up front who can’t be ars**d half the time, why bring back an older version of the same thing.

    Can’t be Whitehall then.

Seen comments saying he’s the worst captain in years..

    Not a chance!

He gets involved, talks to his teammates and the officials something that previous captains didn’t do.

McArdle was a prime example and recently Boyce.

They are 11th in their division though, 11 points off the top and not in great form.

    3/4 games in hand too

Good luck to Trinity, I’d say they have a fair chance of making R2 having drawn Hednesford.

Is Declan any relation to Callum Howe?

Probably going to be a tougher game against Hednesford, the next moneybags of non league who defeated Gateshead.

Are Hednesford throwing sacks-full of cash at it then?

They have a squad more than good enough for the league ABOVE already.

So IF we signed Howe where does Whitehall/Beestin/Carlton fit in?

    Provided their fit of course.

    <strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>Howe 13 goals this season

    <strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>SUFC:
    Roberts 5
    Beestin 3
    Boyce 3
    Whitehall 3
    Barrows 2
    Scales 2
    Evans 1
    Fishburn 1
    Nicholson 1
    OG 1

Goals are spread out this season, last season Whitehall had a nice chunk of our goals

Also Howe is in a league below us too.

Once Carlton, Brogan, Kouogun are all available with Beestin/Whitehall hopefully not breaking we will be fine.

Having Kelly/Shrimpton/Fishburn coming on ain’t going to help!

The original opinion with which you disagreed was “far from convinced with our midfield.” Do we take it then that you are content with a midfield that includes Will Evans?

No, because the midfield we had playing didn’t include Evans.

There is no doubt Dean was the worst manager our club has had.Although I did not rate Cox at least he managed us in the football league.Dean could not even manage us in non-league

    No chance!

It’s not “garbage” it’s an opinion. They are allowed on a forum, you don’t have to agree.

Ogle was annoying at times as he would leave his marker resulting in goals but I’d probably still have him over Barrows

His pace was always a weapon in attack and defence, with how unfit the team were last season compared to this season would Ogle benefit from his teammates? Of course he would!

I think that we are a player short, CBRP.
I’m far from convinced that Scales and Roberts can play in the same midfield. For me, it throws the balance right out of kilter.
Every regular on here probably knows that I was a great admirer of Bish: not only a pretty big guy but he brought a kind of order and control to CM which we currently lack. Clunan is a good player but is rather slight of build.
Clearly, we can’t afford a player with all of Bishop’s attributes but there must be a player in NLN or NLS hewn out of a similar mould that we could chase down.
Currently, this really is one of the smaller midfields I’ve seen over the last half century.

Far from convinced with our midfield?

We sit top after 8 games winning 6 of them and drawing the other two whilst conceding TWO?

Unbelievable some of the garbage that comes from our ‘fans’

Why did Whitehall have an attitude?

How would I know why? That’s a question for Whitehall.

No it’s a question to you..

Why did he supposedly have one? What’s your reasonings?

If you think Clunan is a nothing captain then your judgement is shocking!

Don’t be so ridiculous. He might do a lot of talking and a lot of pointing, but I’ve never seen any of the other players on the pitch acknowledge or respond. He lacks presence and authority.

Plenty of authority for me, funny how the manager seems to think so too.

im not getting all the hype about the actual performance it wasnt that great, first half except the goal was dire improvement second half way better more dominant

On the whole it was competent rather than inspiring. The second half was a big improvement over the first, once the substitutions had been made.

Whitehall’s goal was a belter but he seemed to have an attitude problem up to that point.

Clunan is a nothing captain, with little to no presence or authority. Is he good at doing the phone calls and collecting the subs for the snooker tournaments and golf days?

Why did Whitehall have an attitude?

If you think Clunan is a nothing captain then your judgement is shocking!

McArdle & Boyce from recent memory have been awful captains, how can the quietest player be captain?

Also, is it time to remove Steve Hope’s services? He’s an embarassment to the club with his actions, month after month. The club have a professional photographer in Luke Broughton who does a great job.

In what way is he embarrassing the club? I seem to remember him being fairly strong on his pro-Hilton opinions a year ago.

Loves to have a go at fans, like Maw and Mahony, and his meltdowns. New Era, United we Stand… Not with these characters around.

Can see a 2,3 nil reverse on Saturday. I’m not confident about 3-5-2, I know it’s one of the harder formations for players to adapt to and it doesn’t take much for opposition to turn the 3 into a 5. Heart says 2-1 Scunny though

    2, 3 nil reverse…..

    Cracking prediction.

It was a constant effort not to switch the volume off when Dean was being interviewed.

It’s notable that Dean has had absolutely nothing to say since leaving Scunthorpe United – at the least you’d have thought he’d be offering a word to the fans.

After all the abuse he got from majority of our fans?

    Don’t blame him at all!

the bloke who claimed it nearly hit is son on the head I know very well, and it is a good job he didn’t get his hands on the thrower, he is built like a Tank and would have throttled him

The flare landed on the pitch maybe about 10 feet away it was barely near anyone in that area

Yes he is built like a tank but he seems to like picking on the youngsters, doesn’t say a thing to anyone older

Him and his friend are both as bad as each other

They caused trouble months ago aggravating another fan which resulted in him being thrown out all because they was stood at the wall for 5 minutes.. half hour later both are stood at the wall!
