Beware of this being our ‘banana skin’ game.
This could be our toughest game so far this season, has warnings written all over – 1 club in top 3 and 1 in the bottom 2 ! So many will have written Gloucester off so we need to be more motivated than ever and show Gloucester City total respect.
Not happening, not a chance they play like Boston/Buxton they are on the same points as Darlington absolutely shocking form!
Be like Bishops Stortford
Another 5
Agreed! I’d keep and play him alongside Whitehall.
That means Carver can go to Southport on a permanent and we can afford to lose Elliott or Bennett.
Once we get Beestin and Roberts fit you could argue that we could manage without either.
Yeah that’s it, he starts playing on the wing and starts scoring goals and you want to put him up top with Whitehall whilst also changing the shape we play, just leave it as it is!
Snowflakes everywhere…
No one is correct all the time Steve, in fact I sometimes get it wrong ha ha!, but I enjoyed watching the game pal, and was very pleased to be wrong on this occasio.
If you want a correct forcast this Saturday it will be Scunny 4 Bishop Storford 0.
Attendance 4,229. Hope that I am correct this time Steve ???? what do you predict pal.
Before the match I said another 6… with them being second bottom and leaking lots of goals, consolation ruined it for me.
i have a feeling that the team are slipping up right now, and according to some reports, a few players are not puuting a lot of effort into their performances.
So although the team tend to play better in home games (apart from the Buxton match), I am going for a forcast of:-
SCUNTHORPE 0 SPENNYMOOR 2.3,743 ATTENDANCE Reflected by the poor showing on Saturday.
These two home matches this week could well be a big pointer on what chances they have on getting out of this League, six points and a lot more fight from some players would be welcome to our long suffering fans.
Cracking prediction
If theres music who cares.. focus on the atmosphere instead of looking for a negative
Can’t get an atmosphere to build if there’s endless music blasted over the PA though, can you? Not so much during the game but pre-match it’s hard to even talk to your mates over the noise of the PA.
Yes you really can the atmosphere is STILL there after the music goes off!
Finding something to moan about now Hilton has gone stop being pathetic

Not really worth moaning about is it?
Bennett played pretty decent to be honest, whenever he’s come off the bench he’s barely lost a header, also won the free kick which Butterfield scored from.
Boyce isn’t first choice because he is one of our slowest players and is good at winning headers thats it, his ball playing is shocking whereas Evans is much better.
Wilson really needs to pull his finger out can’t remember the last decent game he had
Shame
Robertson went on a season long loan to Marske United on the 10th August
Whitehall is a strange one for such a big lad, he goes down far too easy and is always looking for the foul instead of going for goal. The second half one when he was virtually through on goal then fell over like he was pole axed was pathetic, the ref got the decisions around Whitehall’s so called fouls against just about right IMO, the ref however overall was poor. I know it’s from a different time and laws have changed over the years but Steve Torpey would have had that Scarborough centre back for breakfast, dinner and tea after the first twenty minutes. Agree about Whitehall, grow up FFS.
Oh you mean when he was actually tripped up when through on goal?

Looking stupid now eh?
Patience!
Can you name another British footballer playing in Saudi ? I can’t.
Henderson is English still had 2 years on his Liverpool contract and a good chance of playing at euro 24. Not exactly on the breadline.
He’s gone to a club with 5000 average attendance that are paying £700k a week. I really didn’t think he’d actually do it.Not even close to £700k a week!
It’s a travesty that someone with Jordan Henderson’s level of ability has earened £700,000 across his career nevermind in a week.
Why is it?
Klopp has continuously picked him to play for Liverpool and not just that… CAPTAIN the side to every trophy possible AND regularly picked for England but DarrynStampGoalMachine doesn’t rate him so he doesn’t deserve it.
I don’t know why they want him,he is a midfield player that creates little
But he isn’t a creative midfielder?
What’s the obsession in putting Elliott as a winger?
Yeah IFA, a couple of Bru members have been trying to talk sense to the Facebook group, from what I can tell. As I personally know a couple from my formative years, I can assure you, you’re wasting your time and energy lads!
They couldn’t talk sense if they tried..
Bit like your comments..
Rinse and repeat….

Why.. because they lost a meaningless friendly?

Fitzsimons, Barrows, Kougun, Evans, Denton, Kelly, Scales, Clunan, Roberts, Law, Whitehall all played.
What’s next?
I know its only a friendly on a shocking pitch but any stand out performances , how did the newbies do ??
Seems like a fair few rocked up over 2000 ..
Fitzsimons – Can tell he’s a pretty good keeper, very vocal, always wanted a pass back, good distribution BUT he is very calm for my liking when attackers are closing him down he nearly got caught out.
Barrows – Best of the 2 CB’s in the 2nd half for me, seemed to be quite composed on the ball and even when attacking he didn’t look like a defender who had stayed upfront as he had a decent touch and didn’t panic.
Kougun – Didn’t have that much to do really, fairly solid player
Evans – Didn’t realise we had a man mountain as a CB till I saw him, should cause alot of problems in the oppositon box
Denton – Wanted to go forward alot more than he did, quite nippy and should be a threat, lack of height might go against him
Kelly – Didn’t see much action got forward well to link up with Law at times
Scales – Very impressive RB even though he’s a midfielder (I’m led to believe?) Got forward at every opportunity, quick and brilliant joining the attack
Clunan – Can’t say I saw much of him, got the ball a few times and gave it to a teammate without hassle
Roberts – Not the quickest of wingers but has the ability to turn full backs inside out, hopefully stays fit as he would be a dangerous player for us
Law – Did well on the left when doubled up at times had alot of the ball and should’ve scored when through on goal but dragged wide
Whitehall – Didn’t seem to get much service but think he will be an absolute nonsense to everyone including the officials

All 3 wouldn’t be starting and you would have to…
Never saw a great deal of potential in Foster myself.
Would be surprised if he ever made another football league appearance.Lad will be a 1st year pro in season 2023-24.
They may leave him with us on loan for the season. They pay his wages to fund his development whilst starting each week for us?
No thanks
Three keepers in National League North?
Sounds a bit of a luxury to me.
Unless Chapman has a long term injury or Foster is off elsewhere?
I think, from what I’ve read, that Chapman has been a naughty boy.
Failed a drugs test… apparently.
You want your players, staff and owners to be whiter than white.Bullshit then?
In fairness, Wilcox did achieve a very good unbeaten record, even if there was a lot of draws. Also I believe he genuinely loves our football club.
Massively overrated and should’ve ran riot with the league!
Madden must be the most overrated player in the last 20-30 years of the club’s history, I think people just romanticise him because we’ve had so much dross since he left. But he was nowhere near the strikers who had come in the years before him (not fit to lace Hayes’ boots, for example).
Wootton has definitely matured physically and in terms of understanding his game since leaving the Iron but there was definitely potential there. He was better than anyone signed to replace him.
Always thought Jarvis looked pretty decent for me, although never likely to be that prolific he could have made an adequate own brand Steve Torpey for us this season.
Nowhere near the most overrated.. 100% top professional who always gave his all and rarely injured.

I can only comment on what I saw whilst these players were at The Iron.
Watson – poor
KVV – mardy arse, deserved boos on occasions, brilliant on others
Jarvis – crock/donkey
Hackney – poor
Colclough – see KVV
Wootton – not good enough
Madden – see KVV
Why players are better pre-Scunny and post-Scunny (excl Watson) is the big question IMO.Deserved boos? Why?
Massively harsh!
