There is no ambition from the current regime hence our club being put up for sale.

There has been no ambition for the last few years hence a policy on youth (quickly abandoned) which left the club scratting about in the proverbial signing the likes of Perry, Bunn, Davis and O’Neill.

That lack of ambition was carried into the January transfer window where allegedly our target signings opted for Stevenage who have subsequently survived the drop.

We ended up with a couple of players who made a slight difference Delaney, Feeny and Grant supplemented by those whose contribution has been derisory.

So with a captain who abandoned ship and took a lifeboat long before we hit the iceberg, the only ambition was to get out.

Ernest says there are interested parties but how many actually believe him? Not too many. It’s gone from 3-4 interested parties to only 1 credible bidder and that has gone more silent than a nuclear submarine under the Barents sea.

As older generations would say ‘you reap what you sow’, and Ernest your empty words and false promises are being met with the same contempt you have shown us over the course of your tenure.

There is one mutual ambition however you want rid of us and we want rid of you.

Many fans have protested only silently by not renewing season tickets or attending matches.

Whilst others won’t buy club merchandise or purchase food/drink in the ground.

I do however wish our supporters had been more vocal and demonstrative in their actions, alas we are left to reflect on possibly the highlight of the season and certainly the most memorable involving a number of small green balls.

Many people are still protesting by not renewing season tickets until a sale by the current owner is finally done. After many false promises they have learned to wait for an outcome and not rely on empty words.

Yes Ernest it’s not cost, relegation or COVID it’s YOU.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Tyrone O’Neill got a two year contract!

That’s good foresight then, signing players then putting the club at the same level they are capable of playing at!!!!!

Ernest put us in the coffin, but Keith has nailed the lid on.

Players choosing not to play because they did not want to get injured?

We are heading to the National League north.

If this person was the captain of the Titanic he would have been in the lifeboats before the women and children.

A complete and utter charlatan, couldn’t help himself by talking big and delivering sweet FA.

What could the poor b####### say, he was put in so that he took the flack whilst Ernest hid in his bunker.

Disappointed he is getting stick when we should be rolling the shit back up hill where it firmly belongs.

Another reason given Cliff was to protect it from an unscrupulous buyer, so if somebody in Ernest Pawn’s estimation was more unscrupulous than he himself, they must have been some right C###.

I wonder if Ernest is hurting as I am, relegation was inevitable and the writing was on the wall back in October.

But it does not make it any easier, and the poor derisory way we sank without a fight galls me even more.

I wish those tennis balls had been cannon balls.

Get rid of the lot of them including the youngsters, we are where we are because each and everyone of them is not good enough.

Simple as that, they are not good enough as individuals and collectively are even worse.

Not one of them has given a flying F###, stood out, shown promise, desire or passion for OUR Iron.

Time to get rid, Ernest Pawn was of a certain character and attracted likewise, players who could talk the talk but simply could not deliver and when push came to shove they had nothing to give and went AWOL.

If you keep any of this lot our freefall will continue.

He is clueless, made us worse then any Cox team which was bad, the players he has brought in are utter shite.

Took us out of the league with an absolute whimper and having conceded goal after goal without us ever firing off a shot in anger, then turned to the kids, which was clueless and hopeless!!!!!!!!

Quite simply we need to draw a line on the Pawn years and he is the last bastion of those sad times, he has to GO.

I must be selfish, I want to see good football, players with football ability and passion playing in front of a crowd.

With………….wait for it…………… wait for it…………a goal or two chucked in for good measure.

    How selfish is that?

Not sure why a local lad done good has got your back up so much.

As ever you miss the point spectacularly not having a go at the new buyers at all.

Having a go at social media actually.

Sorry Geoles we were utter shite and have now become utter shitter, constantly play the ball back, wont go forward, cannot do the basics, have no guile, no nous, no pride, no passion, no structure, no ability, no shots, no corners, no leadership, no management and Hillock is seemingly in the happy clappy gang.

You cannot polish a turd, as Ernest Pawn has shown us. Out with the Hillock.

Please don’t join the debate if you do not suffer each week as we the loyal long suffering do!

The team has got worse game by game, there is absolutely no structure to our game or a game plan.

During yesterday’s debacle I cannot think back to us even having a shot! The Mansfield keeper’s only contribution was getting out of the way of marauding youngsters and tennis balls.

The team is clueless and there seems to be no pride, passion or effort. That is down to the manager.

I thought Cox was terrible, but Hillock has surpassed him. And whichever Goon decided to sell Loft and buy Nutella ought to barbecue their left arm whilst boiling the right one in a pan of water along with their head!

Apb knows the real score, there are other similar stories and many a local ‘talent’ picked at 7 years old whose dad runs the team!

Then this local talent gets discarded at 13 years old when the bigger clubs kick out their youngsters which we then pick up. Said dad is usually moved aside after a couple of years at U 9 when a coach with qualifications then comes in.

If you watch any under 16 team locally or school match these discarded youngsters do actually stand out and can pull all the tricks that the pro’s do, going down easily, rolling about, gaining free kicks, the better ones find space and drop off their marker to score the odd goal.

Watch these youngsters at NCEL or Midland league and they do not stand out or impress against the rest in those leagues.

So whilst these youngsters coming into the team run about and look promising, non has made a telling contribution ie scored, hit a shot on target, made an assist or won many free kicks.

Real talent would stand out and I am sorry I don’t see it, Kilmore, Cowling, Pointon, Cox, Hall, Alexander, Adelekun all had something extra and you could see it even in their passing and movement.

A leader that rules by fear, alienates the mass public who then become too frightened to criticise or stand up for themselves.

Certain groups or individuals being publically ostracised, then black suited security people employed to protect the name of the glorious leader becoming heavy handed with ordinary everyday protesters.

A leader having taken land that does not belong to him, and trying to annex other pieces of land. A leader who can orate to the masses but delivers so very little to benefit those masses and then falls on their sword at the end leaving total chaos and destruction behind.

    History………………………..

How many players have actually been recruited from the junior ranks in recent years who have made a telling difference or monumental contribution to the first team.

Levi Sutton springs to mind. (and even that’s debatable).

The reason we produce no decent first team players from our own is because we have no decent youth set up, if anybody actually took the time to investigate the system they would see the flaws and understand the outcome.

The ones being plugged of recent are the sons of ex-pro’s stands to reason then that the son’s will have the talent.

No they don’t sadly and its time the supporters asked some very real questions, because I am sick and tired of the greatest loyalist of loyal supporters coming on here and trying to convince us that a pigs ear is a silk purse.

It is holding us back as a club and in producing real young talent capable of playing football. Just for example a youth player scores 2 goals v Barton Town in a pre-season friendly and is then the be all and end all of our first team aspirations.

No he was shit in pre-season, played in the diddly donk cup and was subbed having made no telling contribution, but cos he is from Goole and has a cousin who once worked at the old heavy section mill and knows someone from scunny he is all of a sudden a great player.

That’s why he ended up at Scarborough making no headlines at all!!!!!

Time to wake up fellow Iron diehards and dare ask the question what does Tony Daws actually do?

Well well dear old Ernest Pawn has not only seen us out of the league after 72 years he has done a monumental runner.

After bullshit, then after more bullshit and some more bullshit tooboot he has done a massive back track and a retreat befitting the Italians in WW 11 or Saddam Hussian in Gulf War 1 (that’s the legal one for any numpty about to spill their guts)!!!!!!

If you are a man of your word you will sell the club in total, walk away to be confined to the anals (deliberate) of history, and leave no strings ie the car park for development in your stead.

This complete and utter disaster is of your making and yours alone and now you have chosen to stand down or run away. Leave the ground and its facilities intact to retrieve some semblance or modicum of respect.

Sadly no young player coming into the first team has really shone or provided that ‘wow’ factor which is a pity given the extremely poor squad of players we have been served up this season.

The last time I posted a comment on a player was about Jarvis who anyone with half an ounce of footballing brain could see was a complete and utter plank.

So as decried by others I gave him a chance and still he remained a plank, giving Jarvis and others of equal wooden talent is why we are where we deservedly are and will remain.

Well Mr Wonderful that photo is a welcome sight.

A true gentleman and Scunthorpe United supporter Mr Wharton.

Can’t recall our club ever being treated as it is now, or there being a division with the supporters as exists currently.

Can’t recall the ground being robbed or carpark being built on.

Can’t recall seeing supporters shackled or being gagged.

Then Mr Wharton wasn’t a little, tardy, egotistical bully.

    SIA Security Industry Authority

There is no law in the UK that prevents civilians carrying handcuffs. SIA licensed security operatives have no legal powers over and above other civilians. Anyone who does carry handcuffs should be aware that their use could constitute a crime, unless they can show that using them was reasonable and proportionate in the circumstances.
