I like the look of all the signings to be fair but just feel still something missing and the squad is a tad light when injuries n suspensions kick in .. two more additions would help for sure.
Whall has looked poor in pre season also concerning.
well already a real mix bag of predictions
a 1-1 draw from me
a well beaten 3-1 loss from ss24
a 2-1 win from MK n AndersonIMO a more balanced view than that of fans on the SUFC Fand FB page and just goes to show how differently we perceive the current squad and how pre season has gone.

Clunan interview so surely hes nailed on the start as captain
I did say a while back we needed a smaller nippy goal poacher style striker
Isn’t that Carlton?
Didnt categorize CUb in that way Cass but do think he will notch a few this season.
AB / LT must be thinking an extra center forward be handy as took this mystery fella on trial.
Has Billy sharp signed a contract for Donny ??
Yes
Andy Flounders still got a pair of boots ???
I did say a while back we needed a smaller nippy goal poacher style striker …very much doubt its hooper though .. its being kept a very tight secret so interested to find out just who it is and if Braithwaite is being signed , i hope he is .
Im planning to go watch Nong Bua Pitchaya FC v Buriram unites Saturday 6pm KO , Abo Eisa debut for NBP against the best side by a mile over the last decade here Buriram so expectiong a proper thrashing ..
Suffice to say i shall don my Scunny shirt of course and give him an IRON IRON IRON.
Wondering how his fitness is and will handle the very different playing conditions here as games are never stopped or called off even in the most severe weather it gets comical sometimes.. the heat and humidity will be a factor more so its rainy season and torrential downpours are expected.
35 min trip back after that game in time for the Brackley Scunny game … its great the footy is back.
UTI and NBP
I refer the right honourable members of Bru to my earlier post below as to my prediction come next April… one change .. remove Scarboro replace with Darlo (agree with CMC)
L2 .. Cods to get relegated
If i was to put a 100 quid bet on for champions it would go on Chester.
Chester
Brackley
KiddyBuxton
Radcliffe
Scarboro X …….. Darlo
ScunnyCouple of interesting points AB brought up.
Braithwaite in talks this week and another center forward arrived on trial but no name given..maybe some Bru super sleuths have the goss n some titbits.

ABs radio interview from last evening .. nothing weve not heard before but comes across well , down to earth and more composed JD.
Thought it was a joke last night so didn’t post, but maybe not supposed to be a gathering on frod road at 12pm today, ironstone are closing and specsavers, best avoided at the best of times maybe more so today, obviously i shall go and have a look it’s only 200 yards away from my house and is my neighborhood after all.
Ironstone …. do you mean the pub AWG ??
Fitz
Max Evans Nicholson
Barrows Brogan Rowley Law
Roberts
Whitehall Carlton
That would be ok with me S11 .. only change Scales for Barrows IMO.
Im guessing Clunan is nailed on to start as he is probably gonna be the captain again this season (i would prefer another capt)
Good points earlier Brackley are unknown and may be not the same team as in recent seasons, AB needs to set up to go out and attack not be cautious and go for a no loss/draw or sit back sneaky 1-0

Good post MK.
Nothing is a given in football , in the most part its all so unpredictable ..passionate fans , crazy results , last minute over head kicks (Bellingham) MAKE IT THE GREAT GAME IT IS.
Whilst i agree on the economics a freak season like Tamworth had can not be legislated for and whose to say there isnt another one of them looming to surprise us all.
Champions and auto promotion would obviously be brilliant being a tad more realistic fingers crossed we can play well score plenty and end up there or there abouts come next April.
One thing is not in any doubt in recent months the turn around in the club in every way has been miraculous now lets get it going forward on the pitch.

As fans we are entitled to our opinions my being no as optimistic as it seems many other are , at full time in the Chorley fixture we should have a better idea as to the seasons expectations.
Im predicting getting 7 or 8 points from the 12 up for grabs from those first 4 fixtures (2 home n 2 away)… followed by 2 difficult games v SS and Kiddy to end August on circa with 11-12 points.
A season of stability finishing 7th to 10th is my prediction.

Does Butler know what his best team is?I’m not sure
Worryingly I dont think hes does.
Re food ..having some footy food and a pint was part n parcel of the whole experience i was always a meat pie n Bovril guy ..long before the days of pulled pork the like.
On away days set off early always had to have a few beverages en route and find a good chippie near the ground.

OK we’ve got a few days to sort it out, Butler doesn’t know his team yet so let’s give him a hand. I’ll go:-
Fitzsimons
Kouogan, Evans, Nicholson
Scales, 2 from (Grogan, Rowley, Clunan), Denton
Roberts, Whitehall, Carlton
Pretty unlikely as AB hasn’t got anywhere near that in pre-season.that would be my starting 11 Cass ..but it is unlikely.
Law for Denton maybe
Roberts may not start, come off the bench when required if AB airs on the side of caution not wishing to loose on opening day..
Off topic … could the season KO be effected by the current unrest in the UK ?? im thinking travel and policing issues .. lets hope not

Butler was experimenting against Chesterfield.
Too late to be experimenting IMO, his preferred first XI should have been established and started this game.
Agree Cass experimenting should have been happening up until the Hartlepool game and the thought that it seems AB doesnt know his starting line up come Brackley is a tad worrying , we arent man City who can rotate every week n still win the league at a cantor.
II still think come the time suspensions and injuries happen the squad is still light on depth, can see Law Beestin Denton Kelly or Roberts being injury free for long.

Law for Denton also an option ..plenty of cover off the bench while all are fit and remain uninjured.
Im sure there will be a score prediction thread for Brackley but chuckin mine in early at 1-1 which wouldnt be a bad start away at one of the sides tipped to be up there again this coming season.
1-3-4-1-2
Fitz
Evans Kuo Nic
Scales Brogan Clunan Denton
Roberts
Charlton Whall
(Option Rowley for Clunan)
Unlike JB not overly fussed where Wilson plays or how he gets on , attitude issues if i recall and he never really did amount to much other than the odd rare bit of magic.
Apparently he turned down Barca to join Scarboro solely as he loves the beach and candy floss.I wish JB every success where ever he plays .. cracking player and one we should of tried harder to keep .. pleased hes not in NLN…and donations to various causes notably the SUFC Gofundme page should never be forgotten.

Been away on bizz a coupla days n missed any updates on the Scunny Monkey hangers game … anyone go if so how did we play ?? and anything to report.
Hilton made excuses for the ground not being bought, yet these excuses were resolved by Harness in a month. That’s not ‘rewriting history’, it is what happened. Dodgy Dave failed, though he wasn’t ever interested in having the club succeed.
Correct, agree totally with your last sentence , one can only assume Swan n WHAM hated each other so much no way deal was ever gonna get done .. thank the Lord along came Michelle and this was swiftly rectified.
I recall Mr Elliot leaving the BovD but for a club so dear to his heart he has been awfully quiet recently.
Good points WGs N Lesgeo .. since injury and a new baby Clunan hasnt been the same player… chuck in the turmoil of last season and JD managing also possible factors.
Why do the club need Q park ?? when they have the JT Training ground at AAGP , plastic pitch at JLC and Bottesford.
I can only think its part of the community asset deal.
When they realise Clunan isn’t good enough,we should be ok.
Bit of an enigma is Clunan and needs to get back to the form (Brief spell) in his early days at the club before injury .. with the likes of Brogan and Rowley now signed Clunans place should not be guaranteed or assumed.
On that subject i think its time for a change of captain so who would your regular club captain be for the coming season ?It’s saddening but on this evidence I really don’t expect us to do anything this season.
After all the recent years of turmoil the club hit rock bottom and is on the up … i think this coming season will be one of stability .. it would be nice to be up and around the top of the table go keep the attendances up but like Appollo im not overly enthused and certainly not confident or predicting promotion .. IMO a long hard season awaits plenty of twists n turns for sure and its play offs at best.

So all we know is they are 3 quid a pop .. they do look good tho that sounds a tad expensive i was guessing 1-50p to 2 quid max or 3 quid for a twin pack.. suppose depends how big they are.
Still no taste or dunk test info ..
COOKIE FEEDBACK NEEDED ANYONE !!!!!!!
What happened to the 1899 rip off ??? was that a cash deal , seems like an age ago when that was mooted.
