The only reason I can guess Corbett didn’t make the squad against Boston may have been injury, he had played the previous one and a half games with his thigh strapped up but JD never even mentioned him in the build up. Doesn’t really matter now it’s all immaterial but he would be a very good signing from what we saw of him last season.

Unless all the fans team are made up of good athletes then there will be plenty of scope for multiple substitutions throughout the game, squad of eighteen would be good and give the former pros something to think about.

I was going along with Tom Thumb but once again he’s down with the blues. Previous engagement or I would have ducked down the alleyway looking for a new friend just to get there. Enjoy, all those lucky enough to attend, you may be crying buckets of rain at the encore.

Your perfectly entitled to change your opinion but once made and counter opinions submitted there comes a point when endless back and forth posting on the same theme become irrelevant, that’s why posters should choose to ignore a rehash of the same opinion once already discussed. The majority on here realise your basically an arse kicker on a host of topics and should react accordingly by not reacting, again like you I’m expressing an opinion on this particular matter by not repeating previous discussion.

Awaywego has always been up for a scrap, when he was younger it was purely physical when he was ” a proper fan” now he’s old, past it and couldn’t knock the skin off a rice pudding it’s purely verbal. Look he can voice his opinion and the rest of us can ignore it and as a result don’t even respond, he’ll pipe down eventually when nobody responds to his rubbish.

The bit about still paying off Swans former pitch renovations was very revealing about how far the debt problem went back, unbelievable really but I’m guessing we should not be that shocked his PR was his strong point in the early days, we all know different now.

Good business sense when the goodwill is still going strong, over a 1000 sold already could be north of 1500 by the end of May, way to go Michelle.

Hereford’s star man to dumped again by the Iron.

Yes it is unfortunate but with our club in difficult financial times then players who play must deliver on a regular basis, I am guessing Andy felt he was surplus to requirements compared to Shrimpton, time will tell but Andy has my full support on his choice of who stays and who goes.

The fact they are offering Elliott a new deal hopefully means Andy is thinking about two up top next season, shame young Poulter never got a look in.

I am not astounded he’d be fast and loose with the truth, but I am surprised that he thought he could fool people with something so obviously dubious. At the end he was saying how “Hilton was mostly good.” All while he was supposedly spearheading a dossier documenting Hilton’s problems.

Don’t forget that he’s also making out that he is a fair figure who came to bat for the Matts after their banning orders. While omitting that he made caveats in that defence about how they were in talks with the Swanns, which always was an attempt to discredit them and Bru. Hardly the fair figure he is now trying to portray himself as.

Seems to have been one of those people who thinks he’s the smartest in the room, but has been found out on multiple occasions?

Is he to the fans equivalent to Simon Elliott to the board?

Bloody hell Alick Jeffrey les that takes me back, about the same time as George Yardley from Tranmere, both good players.

Don’t forget he’s a ginga, probably why he appears to have a permanent chip on his shoulder.

Is that the Jamie Vardy that Alan Knill said was no better than the forwards we already had when he could have signed him from Halifax.

In his defence we did have Bobby Grant and Jordan Robertson so was he wrong??

Bobby Grant was never the same after leaving Brookside.

There has been talk of Farage rejoining the Tory party but I think he enjoys his celebrity status too much plus he gets free rein to air his right wing bull shine on Gobshite News.

I would be incredibly surprised if Tories win the election. They’re doomed, barring a miracle.

bill and JI will be praying together then, ah a happy ending.

Congratulations to Boston I’m glad they got promoted and I hope they can hold there own in the National League next season and stay up. Wonder if JD will ever admit to himself or even reflect on the mistakes he made as our manager last season or will the old professional pride ” I’m not wrong ” attitude still prevail as it seems too amongst a lot of these people?

When he first made the side I really liked him as a player with a good attitude, I thought he would become a great asset to us but the longer it went on the more he seemed to represent a young player with a chip on his shoulder. I think he fell out of love playing for us for some reason but I hope he makes it at Scarborough, still great potential IMO.

Butterfield always gives me the impression in interviews that he likes playing here plus the generous donation he gave when we almost went pop . If offered the role he may well think number two to Andy or player coach would be a good career move at a big club like ours in the standard we currently find ourselves. I think the majority of fans would approve he’s very popular with the fan base as is Andy.

Looks like the contract wasn’t expired after all according to the latest podcast. If so we are potentially paying off another management team unless a clause was inserted within the deal.

WG assured us it was so it must have been true.

Brian is in exactly the right position now for me at the Attis Arena, in the directors box most home games just watching with his wife or a few friends, he’s doing fine let’s leave him there.

Doesn’t matter what the poll says.
He’s here for the start of next season.
As I’ve previously stated, he wouldn’t be my choice to lead us next season.

Well done Michelle and her board, it was the only sensible option to retain the goodwill created since they took over amongst the majority of the fan base, it will be a really interesting summer now, thanks JD for all your enthusiasm since arriving but we need a more experienced manager at this level.
