Your obsessed I tell ye obsessed ha ha ha ha ha ( disappears to the funny farm kicking and screaming all the way )
Agreed keep the money rolling in whatever they want to call it, it will always be GP to the Iron faithful, couldn’t give a toss what the press call it long as the Dosh rolls in, remember, no Dosh no club, that’s how it works.
I believe in the Colin Blunstone version of events.
I guess we knew days like yesterday would come along, so frustrating at the sloppiness but loving some of the creative stuff that opened Warrington up at times, just the finish was lacking to complement the build up. Looking at the league table tells us our start has been excellent but yesterday’s overall performance was disappointing but hey ho on we go.

Good old Alf his best ever line, ” England didn’t win the World Cup, West Ham did “.
I never sing it either but it doesn’t make me any less passionate about my country or it’s football team than those that do, it’s just a matter of choice.
Rumour has it you hum the Liechtenstein one. ;-)
I do like the French anthem, can’t beat a bit of a revolutionary singalong.

Think it was Humberside commentary being used on the Iron clips I’ve seen, the sound was poor and disappeared completely in a wall of crackle and distortion when Alfie scored against Kidderminster. Surely not too much too ask for a radio station to get the sound right although I know internet drop out seems to effect the quality sometimes.
Surely the perfect game this Saturday to give that ” complete performance ” AB says we still haven’t produced yet. Home advantage, big partizan crowd cheering the team on, ok best not to get carried away but we could be in an even stronger position as league leaders because all the pieces are in place for the Iron to really deliver this next home game.
Tell you all what the whole thing feels different, the team, the squad fitness and attitude, the management of said team and different tactics used from game to game, the willingness to change shape to change structure to use subs in a more logical way and not forgetting the feel good factor and incredible buzz amongst all the supporters particularly at home games. Guys there will be rough patches to come along the journey as we pick our way through 46 league games but the foundations are in place throughout the club and it’s fanbase to be successful this season. Just feels a great vibe to me.

I guess we are all guilty sometimes of misinterpreting someone else’s post and responding without properly thinking things through. Then again some people write posts in a certain way which could well lead to misinterpretation then reply with a different interpretation when questioned about it. Wow where’s the psychiatrist when you need one?
Interesting topic title, it’s also the first track on Bob Dylan’s 1978 album Street Legal, well Guards not Guard but close enough.
Nice to see Shrimpton get a short run out near the end last night, he’s got onto the bench now and I’d like to see him given more games in the future, I’m sure Andy will give him a run in the side at the appropriate time.
First touch was poor, second touch appalling! Didn’t really notice him ‘do’ anything much after that.
Shows he needs more game time then, he would not be in the squad if the manager thought he could not help the team play winning football.

Sounded a very hard working and difficult away performance but isn’t that what happens a few games every season. Didn’t Shankly once say ” a good team goes away from home, doesn’t play particularly well but finds a way to win”, well so far this season that is our football team, very early days yes but what a brilliant start. Well done boys UTI

I’m just going for another win whatever the score, just reckon the lads are playing really well so why should they suddenly start playing crap. Kiss of death no doubt lol.
The CARDIACS guy in the underpants looks like Tango man without the makeup, not Phil Brown the original guy from the advert.
How do Americans spell their yewww sound of applied disgust? (I accept that my attempt here may be a long way off target.)
Remember Deputy Dawg using that reference whilst conversing with Musk Rat back in the Wild West cartoon days of my childhood.
Completely agree, the increased fitness levels from last season have pushed performance levels to new highs and the squad togetherness is great to see. The fans are well on board with what AB and his players are striving for and the wonderful atmosphere created in the ground last home game are testament to that. Long may it continue as you say Ferrite.

Funny how some people get so uptight about going to the toilet, LBH once you have finished and you flush it’s merely a drop in the ocean compared to the rest of the day.
Interesting watching JD’s body language in that recent interview at his new club, only one ear scatch and hardly any movement throughout the three and a half minutes he was talking on camera. Obviously a lot more comfortable managing a smaller club, always thought our club was far to big a project for him, wish him all the best managing back in his comfort zone.
Condolences IFA, sometimes the reality that is life just comes along from nowhere and flattens you, stay strong.

Just a mention about the atmosphere in the ground last night, absolutely superb, night matches for me are the best when it comes to the fans coming together as one voice. There is definitely a different vibe this season to last even at this early stage, huge credit to Andy and his staff for getting the players in such superb condition and every player is leaving everything out on the pitch every game. Last night was just a complete rush on the senses, real privilege witnessing the boys playing like that, more please.

It shows what better fitness can do, Alfie has always had ability but his work rate is a revelation and he looks really sharp in his new role. Took a knock tonight and had to come off but I believe his improved fitness will help his recovery a lot quicker than in previous times.
Hoping for at least 4500 tonight…would 5000 be too optimistic? It’s difficult to know .. how will the novelty of Friday night pan out? How many are still on hols? Will Kiddy bring a decent number?Really looking forward to this one.
Another clean sheet and a couple of second half goals into the Donny Rd end will do for me.You called it near enough spot on JI, what a great match, pretty even first half with both teams going close but a dominant Iron took control second half and thoroughly deserved the win. Great performances all round, Beestin awesome and Whitehall for me his best ever game in an Iron shirt, proper centre forward leading the line display, keep it up Danny. Tango man was full of his usual BS on the touchline but he can’t have any complaints about the result, well played the Iron onwards and upwards.

And sending your poo to Newcastle!!
Used to be coals, I guess shit happens.
Two classic albums there Barrie sounds like a good night.
I’d rather we lost it trying to win it than draw it trying not to lose.
Yep set up to win every game is the right approach IMO, we had enough last season with JD setting up not to lose, when he did it in the last game against Boston when we had to win it just about summed up why we didn’t win the league last season, don’t think AB thinks like that from what I’ve seen so far.
