Think the next 17 games are what counts not the past two seasons, what is done is done, keep going and supporting or keep going and keep moaning or stop going and keep moaning or just stop. Endless permutations, I’m going to keep going and just say it as it is as it happens, what happened with certain players 1,2,3 or whatever seasons back means nothing constructive now, what matters is the manager working with these current players he all knows from previous times and working hard NOW to get best out of them NOW,nothing else from years back is relevant and will probably be counter productive anyway. Concentrate on the last 17 games and then let’s see, personally I think we are done but looking back means nowt IMO.

Thought Nutall held it up pretty well and showed good strength first half, fitness went second half and was deservedly subbed. We all see players different, I thought Grant looked good particularly first half my mate in the opposite stand thought he was poor. I thought Millen was shite, passed it poorly, took a stupid quick free kick which was way too long and went to nobody but their keeper, my mate thought he did ok. I thought Beestin was still not fully fit and was booked as a result because he couldn’t catch their lad in midfield who was breaking through so fouled him, my mate thought he was our best player. We all see players in a different light plus the opposite stand see things we in the east stand don’t and visa versa. Either way we both agreed that we were shite second half and Oldham deservedly won with their second half performance plus their fans were outstanding for the whole game. Well done Oldham fans you backed your team from start to finish brilliantly but your still going down because like us your team isn’t good enough for league two.

Is seven straight defeats a club record?

Replicates the Brian Laws era run of defeats, I believe it was in 1997 in his first spell. Things will change round but probably not enough in time for this season. Such is life

Can some current squad members not going to figure in Hills teams still have their contracts cancelled or terminated by mutual consent now the window is shut? If the answer is yes then maybe that’s what Hill meant.

It would be a good age when you inherited it les, nice motor though. Most older cars liked a drink but they were fun to drive at the time.

You’re completely wrong about the game tomorrow.

Hope premier iron isn’t a Colchester fan in disguise.

Been to pick up my tickets for the next two home games this morning, training ground absolutely buzzing. Keith Hill overseeing a game shouting out ” pressure pressure work “, nice to hear and see. Put it this way, didn’t see any players standing still. Got a good feeling about Saturday’s game, tickets going well according to the girl in the office and Oldham very nearly sold out, should be a cracking atmosphere, get your arses down there and back the lads. UP THE IRON.

Likely to be 7 “Hillmen” starting on Saturday so should be OK.

My second car was a Hillman Minx circa 1965. Great motor with a 1725cc engine, went really well, ah old car nostalgia, we all love it really.

Beestin not fit and still struggling, Millen is like warm at best and certainly won’t replace the lad from Wolves unless injury or fatigue play a part ( like a couple of games back ) Jarvis been injured or late I believe and probably not fit though to start, Wood is a mystery but he’s the only exclusion I would have questioned. Think Hill has mixed and matched at times but with lack of quality, fitness, fatigue in younger players and injuries he’s probably been pulling his hair out TBF. Time to see what he’s made of now that he has players of his choice in the squad and has a better choice of options in different areas of the pitch. I just hope it doesn’t take the new players too long to gell with what we have left after the window.

BS get your wrinkly old arse to GP on Saturday and cheer Keith and HIS team, complete with HIS new players, on to victory. You know you want too you miserable old missing git. Come on you have been missed, especially by that pillar in the East Stand you struggle to see round.

What does he reckon about the PL?

I’ve some Newcastle fans to take the piss out of on Friday.

He thinks Newcastle should be ok as only one team go down.

How match fit will Pyke be?

Think Sgt Wilson and Captain Mannering kept him pretty busy on the Home Guard assault course.

That’s fine Barton but is there a stipulation in the rules that these roles have to be filled on an individual basis? Hard to believe these roles have enough money salary wise to sustain as a regular living wage.

Why did we have to have 4 years of rapid decline before employing a manager that knows what he is doing and letting him get on with it?

    Too little, too late?

    We will see.

You haven’t forgotten the answer already have you MK? It’s because we have an owner who knows it all, I’m surprised he hired Hill but maybe he finally read a lot of fans were advocating the appointment and decided maybe for once he had better change tack and take on board a second opinion. Sounds fanciful I know because it’s not the narcissistic way but maybe.

Already read it earlier, been said before and it’s nowt new, It’s just another fan from another club with an opinion about a team they don’t support. Big deal, we don’t need a codhead to state the bleeding obvious do we, mind you it was on their forum and anyway who gives a f**k what he thinks.

Not about saving face then?, well maybe is maybe isn’t but I’m delighted with January business and a real chance for Hill to flex his muscles and build a better side.As for you know who, just ignoring him TBH, yes he’s helped this month but the rest of the propaganda we’ve heard similar before. Delighted by Hills decision to stay on next season though.

TBH I don’t take notice of Swann anymore, I’m more concerned in what Keith Hill says and how the team performs. I believe Keith Hill to be a genuine person, I believe that’s all I need to say.

Yep well said MK, I would love fans turning up because of our January window and Keith Hills positivity, we just need home wins, as I’ve stated before, home wins mean more confidence and bigger crowds. UP THE IRON.

Hill clearly thinks Hackney is the better pick despite his stupid ban and he should be back for the last 15 fixtures. I’m sure Hill would have loved to keep Wood but he’s playing the numbers game with this embargo on and he obviously wanted to move others on. If we assume they are Turan and Millen then once again it speaks volumes about our disastrous summer recruitment under little Swann. I’m still unsure about Perry, he can pass it for fun but he clearly isn’t fit and as a result lacks confidence but maybe next season in a stiffer midfield he could prosper. One thing for sure football management isn’t easy it’s just some make it easier then others,I’m sure glad Hill is here.
