Remember George doing his ” push and run ” pass several times when he tricked the defender, knocked it passed him on one side then ran round him the other side to collect the ball and carry on. Always thought Heath, Kerr and Cassidy were a great attacking trio in their day for the Iron and yes Terry Heath the best ever player to wear an Iron shirt IMO.

Godden come on and playing really well for Cov , you have had some strikers over the years – Van Veen , Godden ,Madden , Torpey ,Hayes and Sharp .

    Have I missed any ?
And who was the best of the lot?

Barrie Thomas, Nigel Cassidy, Rod Fletcher, Kevin Kilmore ( flopped at your place ) John Eyre, Jamie Forrester, Steve Cammack, Tony Daws, Andy Flounders, Gary Hooper……the legend is Barrie Thomas but all those mentioned were excellent in their time.

Best thing that has ever happened to this nation. Sure it will have teething problems, and I knew it would take time.

I don’t care if I die before the real benefits kick in. We have wasted enough time kowtowing to the Germans and the French.

Oh don’t fret about that LK, you will deffo be dead before any Brexit benefits kick in, we all will on this thread. We have left our children and grandchildren with a huge burden on their futures though so well done Brexit Brigade.

…and Simon said what exactly on twatter IB to be accused of naivety by you, no link yet?

Might be easier to just take a look yourself I-A. It’s really not that difficult.

I guess so DM but usually IB is quick to share information when he questions things, I’ve no problem with Simon Elliott but IB appears to, Simon is a proper Scunny fan as opposed to IB, if he supports DH and is happy with things so far , I’m fine with that. DH and Simon know each other personally and have spoken at length on club matters, as far as I’m aware IB is just an outsider posting statements.

The reality is Simon and Hilton have spoken on a handful of occasions. Yes, I am an outsider but when it comes to Hilton, Simon’s well and truly in the traps. If Simon wants to continue to believe Hilton that’s his prerogative but how many lies will it take for the penny to finally drop with him? I’m not holding my breath.

So Simon hasn’t actually posted any one point to make you say he is naive it’s just your overall feeling of the situation, fine if that’s what you believe but if it’s just an opinion not based on anything he’s posted then it’s just another opinion and is as valued as anybody’s else’s. No point in your original posting really because I thought you were going to post an actual instance that gave you this feeling. Moving on and waiting for things to happen just like everyone else then, fine.

Yeah I disliked the petulant side of Wilson towards the end of last season and he could easily have walked against Southend with his stupidity. Hopefully it’s just his age and like Hackney will learn with experience, I hope so because he is a talent no doubt about that.

No Bpg he was only interested in the dough.

All players are only interested in the dough, all this badge kissing nonsense is bollocks and just for show. At least Warnock was honest in his short interview with bru when he stated all players were only interested in their next contract and how much and long it was for, it’s just a bloody job for them, it’s just another pay day, the bigger the better. Good on em I say.

We should have signed an accountant years ago!

Swann wouldn’t have been interested, he’d be wanting to balance the books every season.

That’s a great idea LK, by splitting the right wing vote between Reform and the Tories will be exactly what Labour are hoping for, bring it on I say.

I believe after reading about the unregistered piece of land included in the deal which has been stated is Swanns responsibility and apparently he has refused to register, is the sticking point. Regarding Hilton’s wealth it was in the club statement yesterday that he had provided Simon Elliott with proof of funds that he had enough funds for the deal. Simon Elliott is SUFC through and through and if what Hilton said wasn’t correct I’m sure Simon would be letting him and maybe the fan base know about it. Whatever is going on behind the scenes it has to be said is just a bag of bollocks as far as Iron fans are concerned and both men should be getting their respective fingers out to get something sorted, one way or another ASAP.

Well the club owner through a club statement has had his say, will the ground and landowner now have his I wonder 🤔

Wasn’t it overspend to get out of NLN next season ( yeah I guess it’s a gamble) then go sustainable as Hilton wants a team promoted next season and be good enough for a top seven finish in the NL the following season? Wether that’s doable or not, pass 🤷

Why didn’t Swann register that piece of land when he realised it had been omitted from his original deal with SW?. It could have just been added to the rest of the SUFC portfolio and probably could have attracted more bidders as a result. Too many unanswered questions on both sides TBF, what’s a fan to do, we just what a ground, an owner that cares about football and a team giving 100% every game win lose or draw. Let’s be right guys it’s just a bag of bollocks right now whatever your viewpoint.

Council set up as fall guys again?

Towns and cities aren’t exactly bustling places anymore unless you want a haircut or coffee

Bit of a generalisation RB, whenever we go to Leeds even in a week day it’s very busy with lots of retail outlets doing business but towns are a different matter, some are dying on their feet and ours and Grimsby are two examples.
