The best food in football has always been at Kidderminster but it has never been cheap. Yet very few people will have complained about the price given how good their stuff was.
I’m frankly astonished that many people are buying them at this stage with so much uncertainty about the club and given all the rubbish that has been served up in recent seasons.

he whole of Blundell Park with the exception of the Findus stand needs a lot of redevelopment . It’s been neglected for 20 years whilst our former chairman looked to build a new ground …. We were still no closer to getting one on the day he left than the day he walked through the door.
Huh, what does that remind you of?
The ticketing for the Cods final is outrageous – and apparently they’ve dismantled the lower tiers behind the goals so you’ll be paying big money to not be anywhere near the game!
lesgeo did we not offer Mcatee a new deal which he turned down?
Yes, if we hadn’t we wouldn’t have been able to claim a transfer fee – which went to tribunal I think?

I hope Dan Gallimore does well for you . I used to drink in the same pub as his dad Tony , who was known to the town fans and players as Tony gallons more due to his drinking habits but is actually a very nice guy. He was a great player for us at championship level although always huffing and puffing in the last 20 minutes of games due to his off field activities! If his lad his half the player he was he will do well.
Gallimore Jnr is built like a tank – has played in both midfield & centre back, not sure which will turn out to be his final position but he looks like a defender.
Grimsby’s run in the play-offs reminds me a bit of our run in 2009 – riding their luck a bit but also making luck with the way they play.
Who watched it ? Maybe the best game of footy ive seen this year. Incredible.
Was’nt the winning Manager something to do with us at one time ?? Didnt we once have one of the best players on the pitch in our team ?
Well done to both teams. When did “footy” become acceptable? Soccer’s fine but I draw the line at footy!
Anyway, well done to the Cods, an incredible game of football. Hope they get promoted to save us the avoidance from being hammered twice next season. You can only imagine just how much McAtee would enjoy sticking one up us next season; I think we’ve suffered enough in the last couple of years without having to deal with Grimsby fans celebrating at our place!

Happy to take all your points aside perhaps from 3), from what I saw of him his passing was pretty limited to say the least. His movement off the ball was good though and under-rated in terms of breaking forwards.
if we had Bishop and Dawson in midfield this last season and a decent striker we might have stayed up.
There are LOTS of players from our past who that applies to!
Never quite understood the love for Bishop, always thought he was a modest midfielder who did ok but no better. What have I missed?
Can I ask who is going to score the goals in that team? Also, who is going to stop the opposition scoring them? Thank you.
Tom Pugh – was a shock. I know a different position but Nuttall gets a contract ! Besides Tom others have more bottle than Nuttall. About as stupid as giving a 2 yr deal to a continually injured player – Hallam.
Nuttall was signed on an 18-month deal – certainly, he wasn’t up for renewal this summer.
I’m guessing the EFL early start is to do with the winter world cup?
It’s a concerning trend given the number of managers we get through.
Err, could it be because Hill didn’t sign them, Cox did?
Surely you should be working with the tools available to you though? Especially given as we famously didn’t have any money to sign new players without selling others.
Need to stop the ongoing discussions with Bunn and save some more money.
Not rate him? I think he’s been by some distance our best attacking threat this season.

Where did I say he should have agreed to have the contract torn up? :-) It’s not his fault the club offered him a long contract. Contracts shouldn’t be able to be torn up like that without a care.
Fair enough if that wasn’t your intention but I’d say the word “refuse” is quite a loaded term in this situation, making it look like the problem lies with the player.
I believe Taft and Millen are injured. Also, if they refuse to have their contracts torn up, in a way KDT did, we haven’t got much choice. :-)
Why should he agree to have his contract torn up? No one forced him to sign it, he’s entitled to his income if he’s not in breach of his contract.
Do people still not understand how contracts work? It’s not possible to just release someone without both parties agreeing.
Sure, do you not understand that we have finite resources and that we should be making full use of all the players at our disposal rather than paying them NOT to play?
In any job you have to work within the parameters given.
Are football managers exempt from this universal truth? To what extent does the manager set the parameters?
The current badge is fine.
Does anyone call the ground anything other than Glanford Park?

I think he has the potential to be a good Torpey-type foil for a more mobile striker, a bit like we saw glimpses of on Saturday. But from what I saw of him against Hartlepool, he really needs to improve his work-rate, making selfless runs and making more of a nuisance of himself for strikers.
Good luck to him if he really wants to succeed here, I reckon Iron fans will give him another chance.

If we can’t afford to bring in strikers – perhaps we have to try to rebuild broken ones?
Can’t disagree with that, how do we think it’s going so far?
Interesting stuff about his time with the Blackburn youth team, I just hadn’t realised how little track record he was in senior football. A very curious career to this point.
Simple question – having seen him since the january window was he worth the gamble ?
Only time will tell but I hadn’t realised how poor his goalscoring record is across a career that currently numbers 8 clubs already. Given how much the likes of Wonder Goals had raved about him, I assumed he must have a decent track record but he’s only scored 10 league goals in his career and has only made 34 starts.
Have we ever had a forward who was woeful one season, then prolific the next?
Can’t think of any off the top of my head.
Like Kyle Wootton and Matt Godden?
Andy Keogh didn’t exactly hit the ground running but was transformed when he signed permanently. Martin Carruthers took a long time to hit his stride after signing but hit 20 goals the following season. Torpey was never “prolific” but looked a lot better after we were relegated to the 4th division in 2000.
Was there any risk of any violence in an on-pitch protest? I would say no. I didn’t see any pepper spray used, was that after the game?
I’m glad posters are keeping some perspective and not touting him as a future England player after one game. Ridiculous.
Yeah that seemed a strange comment, likely to only put unnecessary pressure on him. But he did really look the part, unlike most young keepers we’ve seen over the years.
So maybe the supporters’ angst would be better directed at at those who brought the utter shite to the SVS (because Nuttall is far from being the only one)
I get the impression people are more annoyed by Nuttall’s workrate – or lack thereof – that by his goal scoring – or lack thereof.
Displaying passion is welcome. However, if some of them were racist to Nuttall, then those fans don’t deserve any backing.
I would have thought that had there been any racist abuse, one of the 700-odd police officers in that corner would have heard it and reacted accordingly.
I have no problem with Nuttall being crap but I’ve not seen a striker who moves so little. Wilson was harrying their defence at every opportunity – partly how he got his goal – whilst Nuttall would barely make a run into the box unless he already had the ball. I thought it was interesting that when Feeney came on, he immediately started pressing the defenders and showing some work rate. Honestly, Torpey moved more than Nuttall.
I didn’t even hear any particularly noticeable criticism/abuse of Nuttall from the terrace until he flicked them the Vs or whatever. I did see him stomp down the tunnel when subbed & rip his shirt off. I seem to remember it took a long time to get his transfer finalised, was that down to our club or him holding out for a better offer? You do wonder if he really wants to be here, heading for the Conference next season.
Would an FA fine for a pitch invasion have been higher than the police bill we’ll get for having seemingly more police in attendance than fans on Saturday?
I said at the time loaning Wilson out was stupid. Shone in pre season and was knocking goals in the reserves. One game he played upfront and absolutely extracted the urine in which he scored 2 screamers and looked head and shoulders above everybody else and then was loaned out.
I still don’t understand that one !
Or he’s a better player now for having played 30-odd games at Scarborough and we’re going to reap the benefits rather than having destroyed his career by getting him to play with this absolute shower?

Isn’t it merely removing a loan the club had from coolsilk? So the club must’ve paid it off or coolsilk have waived the debt.
That’s how I read it. Could it also be tidying up a loose end after the ownership of the ground was transferred? I don’t know.
