Wouldn’t fit the disinformation campaign I’m afraid. Not sure why he persists with this type of propaganda on here tbh. Falls on deaf ears and I doubt anyone viewing will buy it. Absolutely not saying one shouldn’t have an alternative opinion, I think the so called usual suspects have demonstrated that themselves in recent weeks, it’s just all we seem to get from Bucks these days is rigid rhetoric and little else. Anyone who offers any other reason is deemed a fool.

I forgot to mention the record breaking profits the wholesalers are making despite ‘people freezing to death’. You’re right Bucks, it’s not trivial or a laughing matter. Might be an idea to quell the disinformation btw. You never know where the so called Bru ‘Stasi’ are lurking.

Of course the complete closure of Nord Stream 1 (and the postponement of NS2) have little to do with this. It’s hardly like we rely on importing gas from those countries that it fed because our gas reserves are so low. It’s not like we’re all absorbing the costs of those smaller suppliers who went bust is it? People freezing to death has got little to do with the government’s inability to provide the public with nothing more than sticking plasters during an unprecedented energy crisis has it?

Seems like I’m at the butt end of the ‘abuse’ recently! Must have rattled the cage.

‘But, never mind, eh. I’m sure you’re all nicely wrapped up in your own homes while millions face bills they can’t afford or freeze to death.’

That’s right, blame a handful of posters on a football forum for people freezing to death! Is this the only tactic the Tories have nowadays? Have you not twigged that the British public are seeing right through it? You’re right, probably not much gaslighting from you Bucks, but a series of straw men have been wheeled out!

    ‘a myriad of thought processes’

They might want to refine that to one process so that everyone’s on the same page and knows what they’re supposed to be doing.

‘you are not better, morally or otherwise.’

Probably right, but as I take a break from writing an appeal update, I’m reminded of this remark as some of the quotes from people running food banks, family support groups, community grocers, youth groups and other community groups has brought a tear to my eye. These are people far better than I, ‘morally or otherwise’. Amazing resilience and kindness they have in the face of poverty brought on by this horrendous government. Really, the government don’t deserve them. Happy for them to mop up the mess and mend what they should be doing while they do dodgy deals and appear on celebrity TV shows. Morally redundant.

I do like this bit though. Every day is a school day – I just never knew Bru was the school, ha ha!

‘because everything, from making bread to manufacturing wind turbines, depends on energy’

I was under the impression these things were created by magic? Talking of magic, I see bpg likes the OP. Respect.

And there were most sane people observing the fact that Putin has all but turned the gas off to those EU countries that we rely on for exports from, for heating and to produce our own electricity. Still, deflects from the government getting the rightful blame I suppose. Heard that from an energy expert btw. I’ll take his view thanks rather than a Tory on a football forum with an agenda.

Not the first you’ve asked the forum that question bpg. I’d say…evidence this bloke existed, but popularised and mythologised to promote Christianity and sales of the bible. No evidence to prove he was the son of something you can’t prove. Too far fetched for me. Can’t see that changing, and can only see the disbelief increasing in later years. Happier and more at one with the world with that view the older I get. As long as I’ve got a bossom for a pillow, as the song goes, I’m okay with that.

In all honesty it’s probably the best option let’s have some closure.

Please elaborate why it’s the best option
