If fit, he could really flourish in NLN
He removed himself from Twitter last night after a series of exchanges with someone throwing around all sorts of accusations about his past. The exchange looked very messy. Got the impression it wasn’t an Iron supporter. Probably best left at that You’re right, probably for the best he’s come off Twitter. Thought this is worth clarifying before anyone starts blaming Iron fans moaning.

Just tried it. Logged on fine. Contact the club?
Could he make 90mins a league lower? I’d like to think so.
March 30, 2023 at 7:56 am in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #258228Lol, probably just me then, not understanding your subtle use of sarcasm. Though Hilton seems to think the initiative would work, or why else would he do it? Regarding keeping Swann on the sidelines – sarcasm again or do you mean that? If he still owns it, might he start charging rent or sell it? A tad worrying dont you think?
‘Cliff, nobody wants him sacked now’. Evidence suggests otherwise WG. I honestly don’t think it matters a jot anyway. I doubt Hilton’s going to be influenced by supporter opinion.
In an ideal world, yes. Not if enough supporters can’t afford £1899 it isn’t.
They gave credit to the way we played for most the first half. They also were flabbergasted how bad York were and how we weren’t 3 nil up at h/t. Agree about not having a decent goalscorer. Does that include your potential MOM, Bennett? Isn’t scoring goals a prerequisite for a striker these days? Funny old game innit.
I agree with you awaywego. Should have been 3-4 up at half time. Said that last night during the match on here from listening to commentary on BBC York. Commentators were embarrassed how bad York were in first half. As they said, why we weren’t 3 up by h/t explains a lot about our league position.
Is that a question to me? Games I’ve seen and commentary I’ve heard. Don’t you like people having an opinion that doesn’t tally to yours? Be an odd keyboard that showed images.
I’m not pleased we drew last night based on the commentary, and neither were a lot of the travelling fans by the sound of it. Given how little chances they created, it would have been woeful to concede. Given the chances we created and spurned, a win and 2 points dropped. I’m not calling for Dean to go, but if at some point Hilton says he dropped one appointing Dean and is reinstalling Nelson in time for pre-season, I wouldn’t be disappointed. People can bemoan revolving doors as much as they like. The past is the past. If Hilton has made a mistake appointing Dean and he acknowledges it, I’d rather he identified it sooner rather than later. Time will tell and Hilton has some analysis and thinking to do.

Too many new players in (some straight back out again!), in a short space of time. Dean’s competency aside, who’s idea and execution was this? Everyone knows this rarely works. It’s like a travelling circus. How much has Dean had to do with the numbers and quality of players coming in? Genuine question. Looks to me like he’s been given a lot of them rather than identifying them as strategic fits. Like chucking water on to a frying pan fire. And what do we get on Twitter and Facebook? ‘Ooh, new shiny things!! Please sir, can I have some more?’

Will he? How do you know he’s prepared to wait?
‘All the games have been entertaining, even the game we lost at home. We were certainties for relegation before he came, but he has brought the entertainment value back to the club in a short period of time.’
You’ve clearly not seen all the games recently. ‘Brought the entertainment value back’. To an extent. He’s also brought other ‘qualities’ that not everyone is on board with. Plus, there’s more to managing than chest beating, faux pistol shooting and buddying up to sections of fans.
March 28, 2023 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #258095Bad enough hearing his misses. At least I’m not seeing them.
York commentators were baffled why he’s on the bench. Thought it must be a sign of how good the players in front of him are. Hmm…
And they’re obsessed with taking the piss out of Ogles mullet. Fair enough!
They’re perplexed aren’t they. York Could easily be 3 nil down. C’mon Iron, get converting!

Tbh, he doesn’t look too inspiring
‘Scunthorpe by contrast managed just 196 passes.’ That many? What was consecutive passes? 5??
Bedtime reading for Rene
Are you related to Einstein Rene?
Schopenhauer I reckon
My suggestion would be if you’ve got a feeling ignore it or check your trousers to see if you’ve shit or pissed yourself…
Sophisticatedwaywithwordsago. I did ask if he’d followed through!
Can’t beat your kids feeling sorry for you:’never mind dad, there’s always next year…oh wait’.

Less ‘rightly so’ than ‘inevitable’ awaywego. Don’t think anyone’s suggesting any different. It’d be crazy if supporters had any say in managerial appointments.
Barking mad uns
We need some Johan Crufts.
