Tony Ford was a fabulous player for you lot Rich, mid 70s to mid 80s. And good for a brief spell with us in his later years.

‘I know George Kerr , my mum and dad live near him in their village to he seems alright , but was he just a manager ?’

Played for us for years mate! Just before my time. Others who saw him play will be able to tell you more about his playing ability.

Our new signings are quality but how much are they going to be paid and is it sustainable if we don’t get promoted next season? We have no idea because the financing of the club isn’t transparent. That’s a concern for me.

‘Wreck more clubs by spending loads to try and do it , which i guess is what Swann was trying to do to some extent’

Double edged sword Rich. No denying we enjoyed watching some excellent players and performances for a few years but all the while we watched the debt increasing and unless we got back in to the Championship it was inevitably on a hiding to nothing.

For the Cods, I don’t think a week passed without seeing Kevin bloody Drinkell’s name on the score sheet in Saturdays Late edition Telegraph. As Les said though, we did have ‘one Stevie Cammack, there’s only one Stevie Cammack’ so that made up for it!

No disrespect to Kevin Kilmore, but I don’t think he was that great, and I saw him play most home games at the OSG back in the day.

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that all our internet spaces have been invaded by so called ‘fans’ of Bury FC.

They are on here. Most joined in the last two or three months.

    Nonsense

Don’t worry, it’ll all come out in the end!

Apart from Iron Bystander, which other posters joined this forum over the last few months? Pat came and went and admitted to being a mate of Hilton’s. There’s no one else

It says he is human, and has admitted making mistakes in the past. Unlike Swann, who would have us believe his shite don’t stink!

Yeah, always wise to take a person like that on their word 🙄

I think you should all stop bickering. Swann will cave in, we’ll win the league by a landslide and we’ll be in place to piss the national league the following season.

    Believe to achieve !

    Confirmation that we’re doomed.

What difference does IB’s moniker make and whether a Bury fan or not? Could support any number of clubs. Derby, Grimsby, Southend for instance. Who cares? Who has an issue with Bury fans and keen on blaming them for criticising him? Parroting what he says isn’t very clever IMO

IMO, someone being a ‘proper scunny fan’ makes them no better judge of character. I’ve seen people on Twitter and Facebook saying between Swann and Hilton, they’ll believe Hilton. Excuse me, but are we talking about the same person who’s companies have very rarely filed company accounts (as far as I can tell) and has admitted to being involved working collecting debts for a business operating ‘in a grey area’. Mistake, or not, what does that say to the average Joe?

If we’re not playing at GP next season IFA, the right course of action would be to refund any supporters requesting a refund. If that doesn’t happen it makes the ‘no credit card payments’ policy look even more suspect than it already looks. Just my opinion.

Given the club seems to conduct much of it’s comms via Twitter and there’s a sizeable chunk of the supporter base on the Scunny Fans Facebook group, quite a few on here might benefit from taking a look now and again rather than expecting us to post links. In this day and age, it’s not that difficult with a smart phone. Or you can carry on being in the dark I suppose?

Might be easier to just take a look yourself I-A. It’s really not that difficult.

Just a bit of perspective on the Elliott furore on Twitter. A number of those defending him by abusing his critics are also cosying up to and humouring a supporter that’s banned from GP. Well done people 🙄👏👏👏

‘Even though we are talking about The Iron here it’s a problem in football on the whole – more transparency and fan involvement is key at any club for me’

Couldn’t agree more. A supporter yesterday on Twitter asking why there is only Hilton on the Board still, got pounced on for supposedly not giving him a chance to form one. Some said ‘let him get on with sorting the mess out on his own for a bit’, others said ‘he’s only just arrived!. There’s always going to be concerns and wariness with a sole Board member, and rightly so.

In an ideal world we would pull together but this stadium and land situation was always bound to spilt opinion and it is beyond our control and influence. We’ll just have to wait see how it develops or unravels, preferably without insulting and abusing each other.

Hilton excepts he made mistakes! And yes people have the right to question him (rightly so after Swann) but do they need to be so abusive in doing so, we have a club and all need to pull together to get rid of the poison that’s is eating away at the club.

I’m not being funny but this doesn’t paint an accurate picture of what’s been happening on Twitter and Facebook, and certainly not on here. The majority of posts critical of Hilton and questioning, by far, have not been abusive. Abuse and insult trading has happened between supporters more often, and has usually initiated from those not happy with the critics, questioning and concerns. Sorry if you don’t agree with that, I’m only commenting on what I see out there. There’s a real danger of fans with concerns being closed down / out with this and that’s not wise.
