You posted something about lamenting the club dying and being nice having a craic with some of us CMC. Turns out we live to fight another day, and chattin shite with each other.

I nearly said ‘I think you’re being a bit previous with that ‘adios amigos'” post the other day CMC! Viva talking bollo on Bru!!
Didn’t see it or delete it but fully support removal.

October 4, 2023 at 6:50 pm in reply to: This saga is unending but I hope it resolves like this #274641Pretty sure no one on here thinks any of it was black and white. Though I do think binary thinking about Hilton’s reign hasn’t helped for the past 6 months.

Anyway, onwards and upwards eh chaps?
Great news! Bye bye Dave. Have a great life!

October 4, 2023 at 2:34 pm in reply to: This saga is unending but I hope it resolves like this #274533Do think 64s point on another thread about hollow apologies is pertinent. Even if you get one how do you know its not just appeasement, not genuine regret? Even with an apology the mistrust will be there in the background. The damage is done.
October 4, 2023 at 2:31 pm in reply to: This saga is unending but I hope it resolves like this #274531Personally I think it’s good this discussion is being had. I’m just a bit weery of it all after many months of this sorry, miserable, paranoid saga, orchestrated by one corrupt nasty individual. I don’t have the energy or will left to contribute much more. Just hanging on for some positive news about the takeover and the despicable one being on his way.

Lol, don’t give 64 ideas about bringing back the shortlived post length rule! Only joking. He-heh!
First: pre-season friendly at OSG v Ayr Utd. 1976? 2-0 to the Iron. Lovely summer’s day. If it was definitely ’76, every day was scorching.
‘Is the trust just inundated?’
They tweeted something along those lines the other day and asked new members to bear with them whilst they processed their applications.
October 3, 2023 at 5:29 pm in reply to: Is this what happens when the word “Woke” is used in the pejorative? #274422That article only summarises how the Frankfurt School spread to universities around the world. Same can be said of other competing schools of thought and critics of it. Have you tried reading and understanding any Habermas bpg? Struggle to see how anything as intellectually challenging could be so influential. That aside, it’s quite a tenuous link to the notion of ‘woke’. And what links there are: so what?

Hearing David Hilton is ready to walk away from Scunthorpe United this week. A deal is edging closer with a fan consortium. Will be a big step forward in securing the future of the club. Still lots of work to do around Glanford Park and a future deal with Swann. #UTI

I suspect it’s part of a neo-Marxist drive to infiltrate football fans forums. So convinced am I, I’m recording a new vid for YouTube this evening.

I’ve already offered my professional gobshiting skills, not sure they need any more.
‘What are you doing to help the club survive Deerey’
Giving what I can to the appeal, continuing to make people outside of Scunny aware of the plight and the appeal, offering to help the Trust. Helping to counter smears supposedly originating on here. Not sure what else I can do? Anyway, you miss the point, which was about attitude not a competition over who’s doing the most to help save the club.
Done
Nice to see Staffy interviewed in today’s Athletic piece on the fundraising and clubs plight. Good pic too!
Heartbreaking to read a lot of supporters feelings from today’s experience on Twitter.
With JH!
Oli Turner said cash donations outside GP been stopped for H&S reasons. Why specifically??
Can’t be there sadly. In the middle of another uni run. I’ll donate the admission fee though. Do parents ever stop paying their kids way?? Spending more on them than ever ffs!
