‘where do we go from here apart from downwards at an alarming rate I fear’
Edging close to Haircut 100 there I-A. Pack it in! 😆
We could do with plus one at the start of the game…

One to go and it’s probably the most obscure…
I’ve had to dig deep for this but I’ve double checked and in our 71 years as a league club, today is the first time we’ve conceded five goals in the first half!!
Revenge on Saturday…
Expect nothing from Swann…he can’t even be bothered to fix the scoreboard in the ground he owns!
#SwannOut
There’ll be a giant video screen in the new stadium…
The Old Recreation Ground, Port Vale
Good guess ironic, Port Vale played their last game there in the 1949-50 season! Supplementary trivia, Port Vale have spent the most seasons in the league (110) and the most seasons in the second tier (41) without reaching the first tier.
I will take a wild guess Bobby, Maidstone United, when they got promoted to the Football League didn’t they ground share with Dartford so never played any of their games at their ground in Maidstone and when they dissolved the ground was sold for development, since they reformed they now have a new stadium.
Maidstone played all their league games at Watling Street, Dartford mick. We played there 3 times including an ignominious 6-1 defeat!
As I predicted, Wimbledon controversy!😀 However, who we played there is irrelevant.
Avenue Stadium (Dorchester) and The Millenium Stadium are correct. Ironic is right about Highfield Road, 1934 (0-7), 1935 (1-1) and 1954 (0-4).
Three to go…
Boleyn Ground (Upton Park), London Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Arsenal Stadium (Emirates), White City Stadium (good shout mick), Brentford Community Stadium, The Hive, Falmer Stadium (Amex), Old Trafford, Twerton Park and Plough Lane (new) are all correct.
Five more!
Correct awaywego!

Just to clarify, there are two more teams to get.
but we still have played Accrington on 3 grounds though, Peel Park the old ground, Burnley we played them in the FA Cup and the Wham Stadium.
The team/club we played at Peel Park was a different one, known as Accrington 1891. Just to confuse things even further, the Accrington that was a founder member of the Football League was a third club!
I thought there might be some controversy with this question but I thought it would be regarding Wimbledon!
Now Booby’s removed home from the equation, Millwall. The Den, the new Den and Wembley
Correct awaywego and one I hadn’t factored in, so there are seven! NI is correct, we never played at Twerton Park.
“I could drink a case of you”. Joni Mitchell 1971.
Ok, I’ve cocked up on this one, remove the word ‘home’!
Brighton, Hull, Rotherham and Wimbledon (Kingsmeadow) are correct. The Crown Ground and the Wham Stadium are the same ground.
I’m hoping for a vaccination against non league football…
Still waiting…
Awaywego has the correct answer, the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham which dates back to at least 1807…

Good shout f row, The Don Valley Stadium.
And you MK? Unless you thought he was having a nap during the game…
Chelsea away 8.1.2005 (my birthday). Pre match announcer – “ a warm welcome to 10% of the population of Scunthorpe”, Paul Hayes scoring at our end followed soon after by the “can we play you every week?” chant.

Anlaby Road, Welfare Park (Horden), The Northolme, The National Hockey Stadium (MK), Highbury and Kingsway (Bishop Auckland) are all correct. It is a grounds question, not a team question so Selhurst Park, Goodison Park, London Road, Aggborough etc are incorrect.
Two to go!
Are you on the right thread Brian?
Do you think it could be the fumes from the steelworks Alcy?
Are they still going?
Victoria Road, Dagenham is correct mick.
Sorry NI, I didn’t make it clear. Any competitive match ie Football League, FA Cup (round one onwards), League Cup and Football League Trophy. So four of them are pre 1950 of which Canal Street has already been guessed.
Same old, same old…
Correct NI. Nine to go, six of which no longer exist!
Five and a half more correct answers, Stadium of Light, Canal Street (Runcorn), Tower Athletic Ground (New Brighton but not Sandheys Park which was last played on in 1939), New Manor Ground (Ilkeston), Borough Sports Ground (Sutton United) and Manor Park (Nuneaton)
Sense has prevailed.
