He was very good last season, but if being honest I think we need better than Clunan if we’re to hold our own in midfield in the NL.

What on earth was the Turan signing all about? 2 year deal based on what? Very strange.

Worst bit about it was that we had him in on trial first and he played at least one friendly that I can remember. Obviously impressed someone at the club!

Dec clearly knows where the back of net is. Some of those runs in behind and finishes were Hooper-esque. Just got to hope he can do the biz at a higher level!

Well happy with that, if not also a tad surprised. We’re definitely a better team when he’s in it…would have been champions if he didn’t get injured!

Played as an attacking midfielder/striker in our youth team. Probably more a Beestin replacement if he doesn’t end up signing a new contract.

He’ll be ejaculating from Spain to Britain

Just posted a Declan Howe thread in a similar vein before seeing this!

Would rather we tried for Kouhyar anyway, who they have released.

You’d like to think being fan favourites and almost guaranteed starters would help sway their decisions. But they’re professionals with a short career and will probably follow the money (which I don’t blame them for…it’s what most likely brought them here in the first place!).

I’m pretty sure that Michelle has also stated that we will now only be offering out 1 year deals??

Anyone’s guess really. I remain hopeful that the better players will get respectable offers and stay, especially given that Evans and Scales have both already signed new contracts this season under the new regime.

The only ones I’d actually be disappointed with if they left are Clunan, Fitz, Maxi, Roberts and Whitehall.

If it was, then so be it. Hopefully those 650 had a good night with no harm done to the club financially.

Is Campbell good enough for NL?

    Nope, not yet anyway.

I’ve really liked Rowley so far, rarely gives the ball away, puts his foot in and can drive forward with the ball. Just needs to add a few more goals to his game, think he’s only got the one this season.

Not many there from what I have seen, but a certain short term former PM was snapped by Tom Zanetti at the ground. WTF?

I guess she’s supposed to be living in a dark cave for the rest of her living days?

Jack Muldoon – 36 years old with 4 goals in 47 appearances for Harrogate this season. On the decline, so it’s a no thanks from me.

I thought he was ok and definitely didn’t hold back in his criticism of Chester players throwing themselves to the ground like they’d been shot. Called them “embarrassing” and “pathetic”, which I appreciated.

Kenny Milne…never known another player to make such a lasting impression with so few appearances. When he played he did look very good!

Always liked the look of Buckley-Ricketts when he’s played against us but he’s signed for Macclesfield.

Nick Haughton for Fylde has ridiculous stats for a midfielder and is someone I’d be pushing the boat out to sign if he’s out of contract.

Very glad that Evans is still under contract, was my 2nd vote for player of the season after Roberts.

I’d want to keep Fitz, Maxi, Denton (very underrated IMO!), Clunan (although agree I think we need an experienced, hard as nails bit of steel in the midfield next season), Rowley, Roberts, Whitehall, Carlton.

The rest I ain’t too bothered about.

I think he’s probably better than NL

Would be interested to know what you’re basing this on??

Chester were the better team but I couldn’t give a flying monkeys!! Get the f**k in there!!! UTI

Apart from the stupid hand ball Will Evans was a man mountain for us and MOTM by a country mile. Carlton now a cult hero…his end to the season has been incredible considering how bad his start was!

Odds make perfect sense when factoring in our home record Vs Chester’s away.

We’ve only lost once at home all season, let’s hope we don’t add to that tally today!

Yep £14.99 weekly pass is the only option now. They were offering a discounted monthly subscription for £9.99 but when you read the small print you’d realise they were being sneaky bastards. You could only cancel after 30 days, so was actually a con because you’d be paying another £19.99 for the following month when no games are on!

Doesn’t sound like he’s bluffing to me, but we shall soon find out.

Carlton has been on fire lately so we’ve got a ready made replacement waiting in the wings if he doesn’t end up making it.

Your not being pedantic Sidey, your Plymouth result was the more recent big result with bigger crowd.
    I stand corrected.

Two cracking goals from Hakeeb and Toney that day too!

Not untrue though is it? Sure he’s been called worse over the years.
