Reply to OP Exeter, far and away better than us.
I’d take more of the same as our last home game but maybe let’s take more of our chances. Come on you Iron.
September 5, 2021 at 10:52 am in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #213222I have not been one to criticise Cox too much but surely yesterday’s team selection could go some way to wreck the togetherness that was starting to show. iMO the two new loaners should have been on the bench as best. I hope it’s not in the agreements that they have to play.
The McMahon effect on this one I suspect.
I’m with you on this one WG because that’s my understanding as well. We could also be trying to say get someone like Jessop out on loan for gametime/experience.
So true about the possession Tash but if that game had finished in a 5-0 win it would have been fairer on the chances created and that with so little possession. We’ve had much more of the ball in the past and not managed to create anything. M.O.M. was Joe Murphy by a country mile.
It was a game we could have easily won and there again could have easily lost. Watson for me M.O.M two or three excellent saves first half. A draw was probably the fair result. Scrimshaw looks like the forward we have been crying out for especially playing off Loft when Lofty is fit again.
Ref again a complete joke.It looks like a very youthful bench
Congratulations Rory a clean sheet on your landmark 100th career appearance, here’s to many more.

Wasnt he at Southend.
It certainly was not Rory Watson’s fault we lost. All three goals came from our mistakes, a penalty conceded by a player who should have been substituted if he wasn’t fit to carry on at half-time.the second and third goals mistakes by young Pugh. Which was a shame because he had a really good first half. But let’s all blame Rory the easy target.

Thanks Matt fixtures are now showing. If there is only 16 entered I might get my highest finish ever. No but joking aside come on people give it a go and let’s support Matt for all his efforts running this site.

Matt I signed up last week but still no fixtures showing, can you check what’s wrong for me mate.
If and I mean if he stays fit there is a good player in there.
With the experience our young team and manager picked up last season a mid table finish is the least I would guess.
Thanks Matt for running of the prediction league.
Well done to the top three.
Well played to everyone else.
But remember it the taking part and not the winning that counts.Yes I will be renewing mine. I was there in the seventies with the other 1,499 and hopefully will be watching Scummy playing league football for years to come.

I don’t think so at the moment but if he hasn’t learnt from this season it will quickly become apparent at the start of next. Then, only my oppinion,he would have to be replaced and pretty smartish. With hopefully fans in attendance this past seasons rubbish will not be put up with and feeling will be expressed I’m sure in no uncertain terms.

Thank the lord that’s sorted, now Mr chairman back your manager with sorting the playing side out and let’s hope we’re never in this situation again. Surely Neil will have learnt a lot this season if he hasn’t then After no more than say 4 – 5 matches in my opinion he would have to go.

Revised prediction
Cods,,……… Down
S.u.f.c…. down on goal difference.
S.u.f.c…..stay up on goal difference.
Colchester stay up.1 user thanked author for this post.
I’ll have to rephrase that to will it be the Cods and us.
Southend could easily beat Barrow now.
The worst possible result for us was Barrow winning last night. The taxi would have to be the size of a double decker bus to get rid of all the Cox in our club. Spelling not my strong point.

I will return to Glanford park because my blood runs claret and blue through my veins.
If what’s on offer on the pitch is anywhere as bad again anger can then be vented and not kept pent up.

If All 3 sides in relegation trouble match one another’s results we would be safe. So because we won’t get another point this season they all have to lose. I would be more than happy with 3 draws as this would also take Sarfend out of the equation. There is bound to be one side who does not comply, what’s anyone’s guess which team that might be.
Sarfend to finish bottom
The once mighty Iron relegated
The Cods survive on goal difference
Colchester 4th bottom
Barrow 5th bottom.
God I hope like my prediction league forecasts I’m miles out.

Pride Passion Belief we have none.

They could do it with 2 wins and a draw BobbyG and at present we could easily ship a cartload of goals.

The Cods or us that is the question.
We won’t get another point so our fishy friends have it all to play for.
They have to play Exeter and Cambridge away and Port vale at home.
I think we are doomed.
What do others think.

It felt like I stayed up Saturday night as I could not sleep thinking off all the scenarios and combinations of us falling through the non league trapdoor. Two big games this week if we don’t win one we could be in real trouble. Best case scenario Tuesday would be Cods to loose us and Colchester to win. That’s us safe with four games to go,will it happen I shouldn’t think so.
I would make Rory My m.o.m Not for any outstanding saves but for the confident way he dealt with all aspects of his job. A big improvement on some of his other performances, maybe there is a decent keeper in there afterall.
