Very disappointed we only had 2 trialists on show, guess everyone else has been binned.

Normal friendly good run out for all,the new lad Ozie looked promising not sure about fishy, Denton stood out for me. Winterton had nothing to offer and never troubled our goal, missed a few ourselves just needs sharpening up, Butler kept the players who he took off at halftime out on the field getting more fitness into them they run the full length of the pitch at least 4 times and a bit of ball work as well, cant say where we are need testing against better opposition which will come.

Cant say i like the claret square on the side of the shirt looks more like a pocket would have been better continuing the stripe into the shorts. I do like the front though.

Credit where credit is due excellent video. Hope they build on it throughout the season maybe with a final section of video with the Dre orchestrated singing “any old iron” taking for granted it’ll be promotion year in our 125th anniversary should be lots of highlights and can flog the video.

Anybody going to the iron aid/open day.
Shan’t bother myself what with the Halifax friendly the day before, just wondered if there’s any interest at all.
Imo it’s asking a bit much of fans to turn out and spend 2 days running.

What financial situation? We now probably have the least debt in all of the Nln.
Already brought in an gate income of more than every other club will do for a full year barring 3 clubs, where’s the problem.
Wake up and smell the coffee.

Footballing wise no Mick, for fans yes it does matter.
Yes I know Warrington have more and nearer Derby’s NI but the national league send out to every club a statement on how they compile the fixtures then seem to totally disregard it, Warringtons derby games could and should be midweek games for fans traveling.
Done now nothing’s going to change more of the same next year no doubt.

Sorry but still well pissed off,
Picked Warrington to look at there’s, don’t know why I picked them but I did, 4 local Derby’s in the last 5 games of the season, who the bloody hell sorts these fixtures out.

Well there’s always the fa cup draw, who did we get last season! 14th of September game always, remember seeing the first snow on our opening games in the fa cup should be ok this year.

Well 2 North East games on a Tuesday in bloody November , Needham market on a Tuesday and they say they try and not play to far away on night matches only 140 odd miles away, Peterborough sports boxing day when there’s no trains away. Overall for me pretty shite.

In what way is it nice we’re giving trials to ex academy players.
Cant they cast the net a bit wider, don’t get me wrong i hope they’re good enough but come on, has Swanny returned he wanted team of kids.

Better the north east on a Tuesday than Scarborough, Alfreton or Farsley imo. Be nice to know who we picked for our Easter and Xmas period games.

Not one to complain but I wish the Official web page would put tonight’s team up.
Anyone know who this Abraham is, full marks though for at least naming the trialists instead of just giving them a number like last season.

Its down to brexit held up by customs, what year did we leave lol.
I could back your proposition Deerey if this was the first time it’s happened but it’s not is it happened last year and many other years, not seismic but it’s a litany of things that I continue to point out. Some fans if only the kids like a new shirt to wear on holiday twill be a massive own goal if they aren’t on sale on the open day I think that’s fair to say.
64 Hilton had give up the ghost with us last September, bit like labour blaming everything on the Truss budget, and the tories blaming labour for leaving nothing in 2010.
Ps, everyone ok with having to wait to see the design.

Looks like August again for the shirts very poor effort from all concerned.
Order the bloody things earlier it really is that simple.
Even now we aren’t allowed to see the design ffs.

Go where though IFA. Id imagine he’s impressed foreign Owners of clubs in England. Maybe he’ll go to the first premiership club who sacks their manager that’ll have fans quaking in the boots.
    More likely abroad though imo.

Nothing To do with faith imo just the fact if we’re going to play 2 up top we need some back up.

All of which Ironawe said is true IFA but it’s still a Southgate out from me.
It depends on what people judge as success 2nd in our league may appear successful till you see the team in 6th achieved the promotion.

Talking of ‘Pat’ Deerey, an approach to ilkeston wouldn’t go a miss lol.
Taking of ilkeston thought that would be a annual friendly, what happened there then.

Well the last time the pies were in house they were your normal bog standard sort Deerey.
If we can attract a chef hopefully he can make his own, well at least one variety.
Not like he won’t have time on his hands.
