Swann apologised on the 12th of October WG, you must have missed that. Not the first time the cods have had to apologize this season, they admitted they should have been a bit more thoughtful when changing the Stockport away game from a Saturday to a night game, the game that was most were looking forward as the big away day of the season at the time, the chief executive officer is a woman so that about sums it up. Though we aren’t without sin we agreed to move the first league visit to Accrington to a friday night valentine’s day, I got my priorities right and went to Accrington. At least my wife gets football and what it means to us.

Nah, even them on fishy have shown more optimism about us than Alcy, his mum said he was always throwing his toys out his pram.

At least we know there are worse teams than us, now wether we can overhaul them is a different matter, at least the effort was there, the ref was shite, deffo should have had 1 pen but Howard would have probably saved, commands his box far more than Rory.

6 pointer a cliche to loosely used, usually for end of season games not for games with more than half the season remaining, the way your going on, every game is a 6 pointer, just go and enjoy the game if your going it’s hardly likely to define our season.

Only a huge game psychologically, the same 3 points on offer as for all games, doesn’t matter about anyone else only what we do in the remaining 24 games, yes 24 games more than half a season. Don’t panic Mr Mainwaring.

Maybe because he’s a div 2 striker, and if he played like that every game he wouldn’t have been here has long. Same goes for the rest of them. I think most will agree that Loft shouldn’t be our main striker but there should be a place for him within the squad.

The Newcastle game in 73/74 was played during the day, the same as the Millwall replay due to the 3 day week power cuts, having got a good kicking at Newcastle the nearest we dare drink at home was the Bell and Anchor lol. Another record season that year we were awarded 2 points that season as Exeter didn’t have enough fit players for our home game with them, the first ever time a season was not completed a record that stood for 45years till Bolton started playing silly buggers in 2019. 69/70 cup run was were the footy song F em all started which everyone has stolen, such a shame our cup history but he ho there’s always next year and that dream. Thanks for everyone’s reminders.

Of course we will still be losing money very few clubs break even let alone make a profit, when did Scunthorpe last break even or make a profit, maybe when we sold Hooper?.Swanny has said we need an average crowd of 3000 to break even, our last accounts showed we made a loss of £107,000 roughly but that was only so low because Coolsilk put £2,1 million into the club through sponsoring the ground naming. On a positive note (if you can call it that) wage to turnover as dropped from 143% to 78% and we’ve certainly noticed that on the field havnt we.

People keek mentioning the debt, but when you look at the likes of Notts county with a current debt of 21.6 million it makes our old debt small fry.

Maybe he’s just as good has Jamie Vardy was, he was only good enough to move to another conference team, after all he was no better than what we already had according to Knill.

If one thing has shown is that Scunny fans don’t want the boring tactics that we have been dealt with for years now, even though Alexander hit his brief (attaining playoff places) fans and Swanny weren’t happy with the style of football, most fans will accept (TW) attacking and losing. So I can’t see why we should accept the national side setting up defensively.

When it comes to football the Welsh and Scots seem to have a lacks response to Covid perhaps? Nicker less as always talked the talk but never took any action on the players indescretions in Scotland and there were plenty. Hibs sold out of their allocation and asked for more for tomorrow’s LGE cup final 17,500 traveling on bus and trains to Glasgow, shame on you nicker less. Your probably right on the lower lges NI we’re alot have second jobs, and at the moment the only ones who who are forced to have vaccs are care workers and the NHS workers.

My argument BS is after 2 years we are no further on, and as I pointed out we are in a worse position with the “R” rate and the 2% death rate already achieved, I do hope they don’t put oap’s down as I am one as well, as for my ” bloody dropout illegal boat invaders” if I had my way I would puncture them mid crossing, but has for stopping free NHS treatment it would be a slippery road to go down, as i pointed out in my attack on you,you didn’t like it did you if it was going to effect oneself. I haven’t lost anyone close to COVID but what my family (well really my daughter) has lost is a kidney she started off with a kidney stone and through lack of NHS service ended having to have it removed, so like I said if anyone is being selfish or an arsehole look in the mirror.

Not an attack on the elderly greylag, just an attack on an individual who believes you shouldn’t get hospital treatment if they are unvaccinated even if they have paid there taxes. I do hope though the NHS would give an intensive care bed to someone younger than us oap’s if there was a choice to be made.

Sorry for your loss BT, but what’s in name cold, flu or covid there all respiratory illnesses, Spanish flu killed more than 50 million in 1918, up till 2 years ago we didn’t know of anyone dying from a covid virus yet it’s been around for 20 odd years, flu has been killing 100,000s per year for as long as I can remember and will carry on doing so until a cure is found.

No doubt the youth team will have brought it back with them from Manchester. We were told we needed a vaccination to bring the “R” rate down, well most of us have probably had 3 vaccs and the “R” rate is between 3 and 5 the highest it as ever been, we were told the virus unchecked would cause a 2% death rate, he ho we’ve passed that rate because we’ve suppressed it so long, just goes to show the scientists and medics got it hugely wrong, fair play to Alcy on his stance. If anyone is being selfish BS it is you, you must be at least 80 yes old, why should society be looking after you? can’t imagine your contributing to the wealth of the nation anymore in fact you are drawing a pension and are a drain on the NHS, whereas many of those 10 to 15% you refer to are paying national insurance and taxes to get hospital treatment, Which is not free it all and as to be paid for by taxpayers, no doubt you contributed as well but they never envisaged people would live as long as people are nowadays so do us all a favour and help out in a way that you know you can.
