Being around since the early seventies, Wharton did the bizz I know I was there. Not knocking him just letting it be known financially for the club he was just as bad as Swann. It’s all there to see in the accounts. I hope the new owners will be just as reckless as well I don’t want bargain bucket player’s anymore, not going to be my money they spend and probably not theirs for that matter, it’ll just be club debt at the end.
I would say that England is most fans second or 3rd team, and we have the luxury of wanting a style of play we want the team to play and if it doesn’t come off so long as they gave it a go all well and good, obviously at club level things are different sometimes winning is everything we all know that over the last 3 seasons, but with the national side being outplayed by the USA and Senegal for 38mins when there was no need for it, it won’t ever endear me to Southgate, unlesss of course if he goes on to win it playing that way at times then he can have the keys to the Kingdom.
According to the accounts the loan was for 2 million pounds, don’t know whether Swanny paid it up when he first came here, Does anyone else know?
P.P got them from theirontrust.com, reaction to st Wharton on the 29th of October 2012. Found it by typing Steve Wharton to liquidate Scunthorpe into Google then it’s the 7th item down. Ps Ironawe I do normally back it up do you? LoL.
St Wharton left us with debts of 30’000 a week let’s go back to that structure? Also left the club with a loan to be repaid over 20yrs.
Totally agree Ironawe, i believe swanny forced the issue so i will say well done swanny and a bigger well done and thank you to Simon and Ian.
There was no issue with the wages the previous month, this month a day or so late but I don’t think we should hold it against the new owners.
Goals change games and by wasn’t we lucky they didn’t score first, once the cloud lifted on 38 mins only one team in it, got lucky as well against the USA, not saying we can’t get lucky all the way to winning it some teams do, but if that 38 mins was against France we’d have been done for. Play at tempo for 90 mins don’t worry about the opposition let them worry about us. Ps would like Scunny to do the same if you don’t set out to win you won’t.
I thought Rashford deserved a start. How many other teams would think of dropping him after scoring 2 last time out. hopefully just resting him for the French game.
It shouldn’t be a hard job Waltham is a scunny season ticket holder afterall

He knew the squad he was getting he’d been the under 21 manager for 3 years, obviously thought he was up to the job but sadly he wasn’t.
Head for me, Daws, Mussie, and Turnbull out, in, new manager and new coaching staff basically a fresh start, owners to bring local business men in and offer directorships if they can bring investment in all well and good, and try and get the council onside.

Did ok at Northern Ireland? 6 wins in 28 matches. Why did they sack him? Yorks ex manager still looking for a job proven record in Nln and was doing well this season, why the obsession with ex Scunny players being managers?

The fans get behind them at every game but it does take 2 to tango if they don’t earn their wage fans will let them know and rightly so, so long as they don’t boo them onto the pitch or single certain players out at every game everything else is fair game if they don’t perform, I am more appalled at fans clapping them off having put a shite performance in,for the life of me I can’t understand why.

Could agree with most of that Ironawe, but changes should be immediate, the new owners should know by now who they want as manager so go get him and let him build for the following season in NLN.

Where’s the 1000 who’d be returning with new owners? Was your seat still available BS?
Of course it wasn’t an issue last month Deerey they got paid on the correct dait was just somebody making a story up that wasn’t there. And we can all speculate what as gone on this month, and no doubt your Version would be different to mine. Whether Mr Swann was being naughty who knows, whatever the outcome is positive.
The only difference I can see is the EFL do the fit and proper person test for lge clubs whereas the Fa do non lge clubs, both appear to be financing the clubs before owning them.
Birmingham city’s deal didn’t go through their buyers just pulled out, tried to renegotiate while doing the due diligence, let’s hope our buyers have got the dosh they’ve agreed on, let’s face it they are only buying into a NLN team.
Had you just forgot it took 3 days to go through, not rocket science how it works is it.
I only explained how Bac’s works Deerey, if your to dumb at least look and see how it works that’s your problem. Go on,go on, go on, you will see I am right lol.
Course we’re gonna go back to the past Deerey it’s a football forum, all this talk about administration and liquidation over the last few years has all been bollocks, not once did Swann threaten us with that scenario unlike St Wharton who did. All this boycotting because of the owner ffs, the football on show fair enough but the owner? Anyway now we have Scunny fans owning the club it’s got to be good for everyone let’s hope it’s onwards and upwards UTI.
Hmm indeed Les surely that’s a new managers job.
Isn’t he sponsoring the ground naming anymore?
Should be near 6000 there on Saturday now.
Not really you don’t fill your car up before selling.
Didn’t see anything wrong with the selection against the USA just the tactics, dropping Saka about the same as Truss dropping Quarteng.
We all get told loads of things and most of it is bollocks.
