As I see it, the boring, turgid football has been ongoing under several managers and with lots of different squad members.
It has certainly NOT just arrived either with Cox, or with the present lacklustre players.

No…you have to look further up and further in to find the source of the problem.

That’s what worries me. Changing manager has zero effect. New players in, old, fed up, players out…no effect.

Now I wonder what WOULD stop the rot?

Prem champions and European and World club champions?
    I’d take that.

If McAtee is not interested and unhappy it’s his job to motivate himself.

Seems odd to me that we have at least one such player at the club every season, and have done so since the Prawn arrived.

    I have two questions:
Is the Prawn anything to do with it?
    Who signs these childish people?

My biggest worry is the Prawn.
Went with youth and little experience, and it’s got us safe so far.
If we do lose some of the older heads, will he do the same again, and will it work for the second time with less experienced players available?

My bet is yes…and no…in that order.

In my job, you COULD walk out without working your notice, but only to go to an employer in a different line of work.
And you’d not get back into your original line of work again, that would have been a certainty.

IA and Ferrite: not trying to be bloody minded, but I have a thing about fairness.
If you sign a contract, you should fulfil it.
As far as not knowing what the lads contract with Donny said, fair enough, but it seems a far stretch of the imagination to believe that it said he could go to another club on any day he chose?

Unless, of course, I’m missing something and you two have an entirely different reason to support his apparent disloyalty?🙂

Don’t get your idea that clubs have all the power?

A contract is just that: it is supposed to tie both parties to terms so that both parties have some sort of stability.

In this case, this manager seems to have walked out on his club and straight into another.

Seems HE has all the power here?

    Nope.
I worked with a contract and could only leave after due notice.
My employer had to give me due notice to end my contract.
    That’s how contracts work, Ferrite.
It’s not feudal, it’s employment law, giving both employee and employer stability and protection.
So….I repeat, do football contracts not work?

Do contracts in football not really exist, or have any force?
How can someone just walk out of one contract into another, seemingly at will, yet no comebacks?
And why aren’t managers covered by transfer windows?

Could achieve a rather different sort of “five in a row” next month….

    Just not good enough.
Lucky really that there are a few worse teams.

‘As for criticising Swann, look back and see who was the first and consistent critic.’

    Would you like a medal?

No, just an admission I was right.
I’d never expect an apology from you.

Not going to repeat the same discussions we’ve had on here and other environments about the relationship between fans and the club owners and how other club’s owners put ours to shame, I think the OP speaks for itself. Lincoln fans are lucky to have someone who gives a s*** about their value and appreciates their contribution and heritage.
    Look

    Fully agree.

Sadly, there are still blinkered folk out there who both see Swann as our saviour, AND persist in believing that no-one else would, or could, ever buy the club.

I was probably the first to push the Pawn thread off course, for which I WILL apologise: I shouldn’t have had another dig at Deerey, he really is too easy, witness his whining above at being singled out.

No…stop it…I really do apologise, the threads are very important and deserve our undivided attention.

What I find it hard to understand is that some folks’ dislike of my views on some subjects somehow prohibits some folk from ever admitting I was right and, by admission, he may have been….yes, wrong.

    Lol at Replica Pistol.
YOU were the one who had a mini tantrum at me because I pointed out that I’d told you all so from the start.

As for criticising Swann, look back and see who was the first and consistent critic.
No brown-nosing for me. He even tried to come on here for a showdown, answered one question with a lie, ducked the next and then the usual w*nkers ruined it, despite having been asked by SST not to do so.

Go on, check back who was the first…and then come on and apologise…oh…sorry, you lefties don’t do apologies cos you think you’re never wrong.
    Grow up Deerey.
You can admit YOU WERE WRONG sometimes.
And yes, it does mean ALCAZAR WAS RIGHT.

My point is we would be better off paying rent to the council than what would effectively be a private company.

Because the council and it’s predecessor have been so supportive of the club in the past?⁶🙂

Spence will benefit and so will Beestin who was able to drive forward a lot more to support the front 3 against Grimsby. Come on Swanny, try to get Karacan signed up for next 2 years with the captain’s arm band!!

If it’s down to Swanny, don’t anyone hold their breath.
Out will come the excuses, and if at all possible it will be OUR fault.

I’ll be watching as I have done all season as I have a season pass. I used to be really nervous/anxious when watching games but after last season and this I literally don’t care anymore. If we concede and lose to the likes of Barrow it’s more of a wry smirk and sarcastic laugh that comes out of me now, rather than the pure anger/disappointment that it used to be. Which is quite nice as my weekends are no longer ruined when we lose, it’s just expected.

    Nail.
    Head.
My wife used to watch the results to see what sort of mood I’d be in when I got home from games.
If we lost it spoiled my weekend.
    Now I just don’t care.
Sure, I still would like us to win, but if we don’t I just shrug because it’s now what we do, isn’t it?

    Excellent post from IA.
But the chances of those questions getting asked, I’d put at 50/50.
The chances of Swann answering any, somewhere around 0%.

    Waste of everyone’s time.

    He’s been an unmitigated disaster.
He has the ability, seemingly, to turn success into sh1te.
Witness the promotion with a whimper season, the failure after failure at playoffs, the team that led the league, scoring apparently for fun, then, overnight, became a laughing stock, and now the present rush to the non-league.
There’s one, and ONLY ONE common factor.
I said it then, I’ll say it again.
    This guy is bad news.
    Swann, Swann, get y’self GONE.

Lol at the forum six…or some of ’em.

    1. My “count” refers to Heath’ reckoning posters on here know of deaths. I personally know thirteen positives so far…. As I said, none ill for more than five days, no deaths, none hospitalised.

As for Deerey wanting my post removed: dispicable.
Isn’t that what the liberal left always do when they are frightened of something? Attempt to surpress it.

    And excess deaths?
    Aye.
    Right.

Last month they (ONS) announced that so far 2020 was marginally above average but below 2018.

So it all changed in December, then?
    I think not.
Someone is lying to us one way or another…and the usual lefty liberal sheep just suck it up and regurgitate it.

Will I be getting vaccinated? Not unless PHYSICALLY forced.

Now let’s see who is really moronic and insensitive….
    Cue Heath….

    Oh my days. Muahahahahahaha.
Best one yet, Healthy, best one yet.
And I never had you as having a sense of humour.

You WILL have noted I trust, that those who die, die WITH Covid, not OF Covid?

There is a subtle, but VERY IMPORTANT difference.

So far, my count is 13…not one was ill for more than five days and none went to hospital.
Some killer virus that you need a dodgy test to tell you if you have it.😉

    Anyway, back to footy.

Good to see the EFL are on the ball, fining clubs that don’t obey Covid rules.
What a crying shame they aren’t as quick to HELP clubs suffering during the scamdemic, sorry, pandemic.
