The temporary lease is up shortly so it’s either pay up or move out!

Hilton confirmed there was a backlog on Twitter and he was working to pay the debt.
Contributions have been paid by staff as normal, but the pension provider contacted all staff to make them aware that they haven’t received the funds.
I believe brassy is right and the last time contributions were paid was December, unless anything was paid last week.

We trained on Wharton’s land and in the rat infested shed whilst we were in the Championship, but let’s not forget we had two years at the top of league one using the current facility.

    Barnsley looking at Poulter
I think clubs will be taking a punt on a few of them tbh.

I’m sure Hilton said the players wages are only 30% of the total wage bill with the other 70% being spent on staff. How the hell can that be right

The land down there doesn’t drain very well naturally and I’m also pretty sure they buggered up the drainage when they were laying the training pitch. It isn’t the best but it’s certainly not as bad as has been made out.

I’d be interested to know how many training days are lost on average per season due to the training pitch. I am pretty sure Hilton suggested that we lose three months a season, which is complete nonsense.

Incidentally, Bottesford have nearly finished laying their all weather pitch. I’m not sure if it’s compatible to the world class facilities in Ilkeston but it’s looking smart and it’s available for hire soon. £15k/season would have been reasonable.

The club couldn’t continue to operate as it was. There is no denying that. That said, I am astonished how well the plans have been received. I have not seen many people in the wider footballing community that think any part of this plan is a good idea.

The factual post stating the accounts, which Hilton said would be filed today, have yet to be filed?

It appears we have been given a 3 month extension.

Again, for balance, there is no suggestion that Hilton needs to sell the 1899 memberships to buy the assets from Peter Swann.
He already owns the club and showed proof of funds to all parties including the independent body that were helping with the sale.
That said, I think many fans will be concerned whilst the club is still in limbo and doesn’t own the assets.

For balance Hilton said the full deal would be concluded on or before 24th May, which was the initial date agreed upon purchase of the club.

I thought Bilson was close for MOTM too tbh.
There was very little urgency for the last 20 minutes or so, but equally there was none from the bench. They just stood there watching and seemed happy for him to run the clock down. Never seen anything like it!

Shields had a really good game today. Got through plenty of dirty work but looks pretty good technically too.

Let’s hope he has some role at the club going forward. He’s still got a lot to offer, particularly in a scouting capacity.

Only if they listen to his suggestions… lol!

I genuinely believe we’d have been no worse off if Nelson had continued with no new signings.
It’s not all down to Jimmy, but the gamble to sign so many players has not paid off.

There was a noticeable improvement in service yesterday, particularly at half time in the Iron Bar, so it was a shame to hear that DH is wanting to scrap the marquee to try and get people spending inside. There is no room in the Iron Bar and the concept of the marquee and live music is a big reason more people have started to come down early. I think if you take that away, people will drink elsewhere and Iron Bar takings reduce overnight.
I believe there were some concerns after Barnet that people were bringing their own drinks, but on an average weekend I haven’t seen much evidence of that. It’s been a welcome addition and hopefully with a bit better organisation could also manage with a bigger gate. I think the Barnet gate and late surge in sales probably caught everybody off guard.

Several candidates for MOTM. I thought Bunker and Butterfield were outstanding and Ogle/Beestin were very good. I still think the left back is going to be a weak link between now and the end of the season.
