There is definitely appears to be something in these rumours going from what’s on twitter.

he’s certainly no improvement on Fish

You’re not kidding, he’s way worse. I thought his last miss was bad enough when he somehow cleared the ball instead of tapping it home, but that miss against Chorley.

In all seriousness, I would expect Sunday league quality strikers to score that. Gilt edged chance isn’t doing it justice. I would have sent him out before Fish. We no doubt need a striker in the building. Butler did say he was looking at another few coming in to strengthen us and I hope one’s a striker.

Tongue firmly planted in cheek there Deerey. I’m sure the fact he’s missed two absolute sitters in back to back matches and genuinely looking poor since his arrival has nothing to do with people having serious doubts about him.

You’re right jerry, he’s been unfairly targeted. I quite easily list all the mistakes Butler’s made, which I have no doubt could fill a sheet of A4 paper. I’d rather not even go there.

Was Jerry drunk when he posted that response or was he actually being serious ?

Given the level we’re currently playing, I would suggest that Beck is without any shadow of a doubt, the worst player to don’ a Scunthorpe United shirt!

He’s definitely up there. Beck reminds me of a young striker we signed years ago called Matt Bailey on loan from Stockport who later on in his career became a CB. To be fair Beck reminds me of him and believe me, that’s not a good thing. Bailey was so bad he’s been etched in my mind all these years.

Beck is shocking. Those two misses in the last two matches are right up there with the worst I’ve seen from any United player.

At the moment i would agree, but he’s got to come good if hes the main striker next season whether we like it or not.

He’ll be gone before then. Two games in a row he’s missed absolute sitters. Complete and utter donkey.

Wheres your proof money is still tight did we not pay a fee for Beck.

64 reading between the lines. Butler said there’s another two coming in. One sounds like he’s a trialist who’s impressed.

I’m not convinced we need any more improvements, this squad is more than capable than winning the league.

We have the quality, but lack the numbers, A.K.A Squad Depth. Up front we have the Fish “ok squad player”. Beck is awful and we have Whitehall who’s our only real striker of quality. In my opinion we need two able strikers to come in.

We lack options out wide too. Still need to sign a wide player who can cover both sides of the pitch to add competition. A big ask to win the league with one proven striker. We started this season with only one RB.

I will however state though that Butler is nowhere near good enough and never will be. Clear to see we need a new manager. If I was Michelle I would cash in those shares to make some money and get that pumped into the club for players. I would however do that next season when Butler is hopefully turfed out.

She could put some of that money into the pitch and not skimp out on it again. That shit pile is dangerous.

Wondergoal has always just made crap up.It’s how he makes sense of himself,he never let’s the truth get in the way of anything

That’s rich coming from you. Anyway, back on topic. I know there was nothing official stating the length of his contract, but I’m sure I read at the time on twitter that he came on a 2yr contract.

Why would he uproot himself and we pay a fee for somebody who will only be here for just the 1 season ?

Just saying 414,he makes stuff up.He admits it here

Turned out Butler did state his contract length, but it turned out to be 18 months and not the 2 years as first thought. Butler did talk about his contact though during an interview on Sports talk.

I told you he was here for longer than just the one season. Putting that to one side, it’s an absolutely terrible signing.

That miss against Rushall was beyond garbage. Butler desperately wanted him and the board coughed up the money. Unfortunately for us, it’s turned out he’s a modern day Shot Chris Iwelumo.

Butler desperately wanted him and wanted him for a while. I remember reading that Turnbull also rated him.

Beck is awful. Absolutely bloody terrible. I will comfortably say he’s worse than Fishburn and he even got sent back by Spennymoor because they thought he was worse than what they already had.

Paid a fee for Beck and he came on a 2y contract.

Beck reminds me of a certain over the hill striker we once signed by the name of Chris “The tree” Iwelumo. How are we ever going to move forward as a club when we have Butler paying a fee for a player like Beck ?.

Fans keep saying they can’t wait for the over earners to go from the Hilton reign, Butler has added one already in Beck. That miss today was shocking.

Butler said we have a few trialists in and a few who we could sign on loan. Really sad for Ross, but better sign somebody because we’ll end up playing a CB there if not.

This is what happens when a manager plays his players in their correct positions. Who would have thought playing Carlton on the wing where he played last season would get more out of him ?

Rowley came in and did really well. I like the balance we have between Clunan, Scales and Rowley.

The players have stuck two fingers up by standing together in the centre circle at Marine seemingly united in this utter tripe of abysmal football.

I imagine this to be a publicity stunt by those higher up to project the supposed squad unity “I personally think it’s bullshit” but there you go.

Not good enough and hasn’t a clue. Fans have turned and Michelle needs to stop burying her head in the sand. Butler needs letting go before January and arguably should have been during the recent 2 week gap we had.

All the board are hiding and it’s doing no good. Butler and schofield aren’t the answer. Michelle and co need to wake up and admit this before anymore damage is done.

That wasn’t due to Whitehall’s brilliance or creativity. The penalty was dubious at best in which the keeper got a hand to it but couldn’t keep it out and was gifted the ball by a complete defensive howler and rolled it home.

Happy he scored the two goals, but don’t be coming on here trying to claim he’s some kind of expert marksman for scoring those two goals ” both had a huge element of luck to them “

Butler will definitely get sacked sooner rather than later. Butler’s had two more week to work with them and still look disjointed and terrible. That first half and 20 odd minutes of the second half were absolutely shocking.

Butler came across as a right sulky pillock. All ollie did was ask the questions that the vast majority of the fans would have asked. A win is fantastic, but that was pure dog shite again. A dodgy penalty and a defensive howler has saved him for another week or two. Butler is a very lucky man.

Deereyme66, you’re posting as if Butler is setting the world alight and he’s been unfairly targeted. A large section of the fanbase are just sick of him now and want him gone.

Nothing personal deerey, he’s here as the manager and he’s shite at his job.

If the teams around us win their game in hand we move down to 5th/6h and are currently 16th in the form table. I can see us winning Marine which will give Butler another few weeks in then we’ll lose the next two.

Law will at least offer the option of actually playing a genuine 4/4/2 with width, but question is does he stay fit for more than 5 minutes ?. I’d also leave Whitehall out and go with Beck and Harris up top. Beestin and Brogan in CM. If Butler plays the players in their natural positions we won’t have a bad team at all.

I’m honestly surprised at the lack of action from the board. They must be comfortable with the performances because the silence is deafening. They will know fans don’t believe in Butler and yet nothing.

I wonder whether their plan is to see this season out with Butler In charge and then go part time. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Michelle doesn’t open up more shares to fans and go down the route of this being a fan owned club with her stepping away.

I just have a hunch this is where we’ll end up.

Best bet would be to get rid of Butler and Schofield and sign a new management team up on rolling contracts, which we used to do back in the day.
