Face mask, stick a pen in his hand….sign and that’s that. I’m sure they’ll be alright !
Money making scheme isn’t it ?.
Where there’s money to be had the authorities will be there profiting, it’s always been the same.
SST, has your mole reared it’s head of late…you heard any whispers regarding anybody else coming in ?
I think Cox said we were looking to sign a few more.
this situation regarding our club and covid is beyond ridiculous.
I agree but without us having to face this situation, Beestin, Green and Rowe would never have got a chance,we certainly wouldn’t have found out that Taylor and Beestin are our best CM’s.
There was an injury under Laws for Torpey which means we tried Keogh and Sharp together and the rest was history.
I do however hope they make a speedy recovery. I’m sure they will, they’re all physically fit..it’s just the time we have to cope without them now.
Heath, bit unfair regarding Turan he had one full game upfront with Donkey Loft and not really had a sniff since…oh, and he wasn’t even really match fit.
I’d go Olomola or Turan with Kev playing a bit deeper once their fit. Jarvis isn’t a bad player by any means but needs to sort his finishing out.
I still find it difficult to comprehend you giving Rowe and Taylor a 4. Rowe isn’t a CB by trade and still played really well.
If that’s anything to go by..I’d want him ahead of a fit Clarke to be honest. I thought he looked very promising.
Beestin as well is what we’ve been crying out for. Begs the question, why the hell wasn’t he playing ?
Green ran riot at times as well…final decision a bit off at times but that will come with game time.
I know he’s seen more of a winger but what about trying him upfront ?
We must stay with either 4/4/2 or 4/4/1/1 today showed we play better with a much simpler shape.
No more of Cox trying to replicate a premier league style formation.
Rowe and Taylor both 4 ?. Beestin I would have given a 9 alongside Onariase.
If you’re not on a wind up mission, you need urgent medical attention.
That’s ludicrous.
Rowe has to start every week for me going by today’s performance. Beestin was outstanding, which begs the question why the hell he wasn’t playing ?. Beestin and Taylor worked together really well.
Green was dangerous going forward, if at times a bit erratic. Jarvis was really good, until it came to converting chances.
Onaraise is rock solid.
Nat a bad side once the covid sufferers are back.
Howard
Brown Onaraise Mcgahey Rowe
Eisa Beestin Taylor Gillead
Olomola/McAtee TuranI wouldn’t play Jarvis anymore personally, he’s tireless but not got that quality when needed. Rowe, Beestin and Green who came in from the cold all did really well though.
Beestin going by that has to start…going by that it’s criminal he was been overlooked. Rowe is another one, why he’s not been playing before now is ridiculous.
Upfront is a bit of an issue but I’d stick Turan up there now and give him a go. Jarvis does everything right up until it’s time to stick chances away and he fluffs his lines.
Jarvis would be a good striker if he sorted that side of his game out but as a striker that’s the crucial part and we can ill afford to keep waiting to see if he does become more clinical because it’s costing us goals/points.
Really pleased with today though, even with the loss. Million miles better. Rowe, Beestin and Green showed well enough to prove they’re good enough.
Going by that, once Brown starts next week and have Rowe at RB..we’ll actually have fully functioning, solid fullbacks.
I can’t quite believe how good Beestin and Taylor were in the middle. Only one game but going by that Beestin is worth a long contract. I think he’s only here until end of season and you would have thought he wouldn’t be on a lot of money either.
That line up lol. That makes sense with people out with covd, I was going to say if it wasn’t for that reason I would have thought somebody at the club would be currently experiencing a mental breakdown.
That means now then were without them for the next 2 weeks ?
Cox already said the experienced players will not get any minutes via Exeter as they have to make sure they won’t break down.
Poor Rowe has been fit for a while now….been in full training and played 90 minutes of a reserve game and he’s still not playing so not sure what’s going on down at GP at the minute.
All seems a little strange. Butroid’s another who’s been fit and been completely frozen out.
Rowe hasn’t even had a game yet and yet somebody has already decided he’s not good enough. If I was him I’d be extremely worried. If you’re not deemed good enough to play in your natural position and are snubbed for a CM who’s been absolute dog mess in playing there, not sure you have much chance.
Awfully unfair for somebody down at GP to deem Rowe not good enough when he’s not even had a chance.
No idea Mick…each of those could be equally possible.
It’s our best chance of seeing a proper right back on Saturday.
Rowe’s a RB by trade but never get’s played. A rookie CM keeps getting the nod. Pretty moronic if you ask me but what do I know ?
I just thought it made more sense to cut the loan, recoup some wages and get 2 out of contract one’s in. I felt a bit sorry for him, he was in a pretty woeful team but on the other hand he never really played well at any point anyway.
The game he did have a good half in, Cox moved him further forward and that was that.
No. I meant permanently cut it. There are grounds to terminate a long term loan deal if all parties agree to it.
If you look at our options we’re woefully short there now…we need a few in. I don’t think just one will cut it.
Don’t give him any ideas Mick, we’ll end up with a knock off Mike Bassett type character.
Ferrite, people struggle with addiction from all walks of life, irregardless of of their Job title.
Said yesterday he was out for a few months. I’d send him back if possible and get two cm’s in. Vincent won’t be available till late January/early Feb anyway.
A couple more definitely on the horizon.
I would have said a RB and CM player but now Vincent’s out for quite a while, it wouldn’t surprise me if 2 CM’s came in…even with experienced one we’re short there.
Taylor is more a no 10.
Beestin, Spence, Hornshaw and Taylor…not great options there.
He used to drive an Audi TT back in the day.
That’s awful. Anyway, back on topic !
I guess Wilcox is also self isolating then ?
I don’t necessarily think Stanton at the helm is a bad thing.
A RB and a CM and we’ll be a lot better. Ideally we could do with another striker but let’s not get too greedy !
McGahey back will help a bit as well.
Swann was right in that we don’t need a scouting system, he may as well let people use the internet and scout free agents without him being involved.
Some players get better when they’re not in the team. Olomola is a good example of this.
I suggest you read my reply. Fully explained why I’m wanting him back.
Blame Swannster for that !
O Malley is terrible, nowhere near ready for first team football, Butroid should be playing at the moment and cover for Brown and try getting O’Malley out on loan, he was dreadful last night
I’ve said the same for weeks now. Butroid would be my bet and Rowe would have been at RB until hopefully Clarke finds himself back to full fitness.
Very odd regarding Rowe. Cox keeps saying “oh, Rowe needs match fitness as he’s only got through one 90 minutes”…does he not believe in getting a players fitness up from first team football ?
Rowe’s had 2 weeks training and played 90 minutes of reserve football and came through fine…yet Hornshaw keeps being played there.
You work that one out !
Cox seems to make his decision on players pretty sharpish though as it appears after a shaky start, Butroid has been completely frozen out.
So who will the scapegoat be this time?
Even though we’ve had the longest off season to recruit players, it will all be blamed on covid.
What/who else is there to blame ?
Swann’s not going to come out and admit his idiotic decision making and meddling is what’s to blame, is he ?
Who else is there currently in this squad besides Olomola with any type of experience who has any type of track record who’s ready to come in and improve us ?
Van Veen is a month or so away yet. I can’t see us going out and signing another striker, can you ?
Nothing to do with having a crush on Olomola, it’s down to the lack of quality options at our disposal.
Please believe me, if Van Veen was fit and we had other option besides him, I wouldn’t be hoping Olomola comes back A.S.A.P in a bid to score goals would i ?
Let’s think logically here MKiron, who else is there currently at the club in the striking department where you’d be like “Oh, get him in he’ll score us goals and make difference” ?
Jarvis, Mooney’s out on loan, Loft “who looks a bit of a donkey”, Turan, Kev Who’s injured, Green “who’s seen as a winger” and Olomola.
Who out of those who’s here and able to play seems the best bet to notch us some goals ?
Use your head MKiron….
Olomola and Turan in my opinion are our best bets. Kev would obviously make a huge difference but guess what MKiron..he’s currently injured.
Eisa to get the best out of him needs playing on the wing, no more sticking him here there and everywhere, he should be played where he’s most comfortable. Sticking him upfront is stupid.
could it be that the Iron is in the grip of a demonic jinx which can only be expunged with the intervention of a priest?
No. We just need a chairman at the helm who doesn’t meddle in footballing matters.
I said last week Butroid should be back in. I know he has that bit of a dodgy start but he’s a lot better positionally than O’Malley.
I don’t get why Rowe isn’t playing, I don’t understand any of it. We need Olomola, Mcgahey and Rowe for the weekend.
I’d go Olomola and Turan upfront…our best two choices to be honest. I wouldn’t think that’s an option though due to keep playing that fecking formation with 1 upfront.
Can we cancel loan signings ?. Taylor was nowhere to be seen, he’s a good player but he’s a bit of a luxury player…he’s the type of player that needs to be in a team doing well to get anything out of…he’s not the sort to stick the boot in or track back.
Why did we need him anyway, we had Hallam and McAtee. Another masterstroke !
I’d much rather have had a capable experienced RB come in.
Fancy you’re already questionable manager having to sit it out and then having Wilcox as back up…only we can have such a back up.
I don’t understand what’s going on down at GP. Why that formation ?. Rowe even though not match fit could get his match fitness from playing in the 1st team, he’ll be no worse than Hornshaw…least he’s a natural RB.
90% of the time when we’ve played Eisa it’s always out of position.
Very odd indeed !
They need to play 4/4/2 get Rowe, Mcgahey and Olomola back and at least try and be positive.
Going by Swann’s recent decision making, Cox and Lillis will be sacked and Wilcox will be appointed manager on a 5yr contract lol
What you been drinking Awaywego ?. Whatever it is, pass some my way.
