    Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou

    Who do you reckon?

Both will throw right hooks which will connect on each others chins at the same time and both will be knocked out.

Northumb I bet he’s not far wrong with that he’s said. Hilton is what he is and even he said a large number of the players have been told they won’t be kept on and they’ve got one foot out the door.

Let’s speculate and say they were told around Christmas time and their agent has been looking behind the scenes at what’s out there, do you not think there wouldn’t be talk behind the scenes ?

Evans not long back was in National League team of the year. York City were interested in Denton a while ago and teams would be interested in Whitehall seeing as though he’s second top goalscorer in the league. I could also see teams being interested in Clunan on a free, taking into consideration his early season form.

A club representative needs to come out and tell us what’s going on.

As said further up the thread, if a number of players have been told they won’t be retained due to budget cuts for the following season, why not just say and give people an idea on what’s going on ?

The Jimmy Dean situation needs addressing too while they’re at it.

Well if they let this play out they’re virtually chucking the season in because no hope in hell we’re going to make it out the play offs. That’s if indeed we even make them !

Michelle and co need to do something shortly. They can’t keep quiet in the background letting this continue, surely ?

or do they write this season off now by leaving things alone and risk losing a lot of revenue between now and the end of the season ?

It will be more than a risk, it will become a reality. A large section of fans “me included” have had it with Dean and the longer this is left the more and more they will become frustrated with the management, Michelle e.t.c for allowing it to carry on.

This will become a harsh reality and I can’t see it taking much longer. Once Michelle leaves this all to play out she’s literally throwing away all the good work this season and people won’t have it.

They have all asked for us all to pull together and that we have all done. No chance in hell people are going to let this season slide without seeing ambition in wanting to gain promotion.

Michelle needs to explain the situation via a statement. My fear is they’re banking on us beating a completely shite Bishops Stortford side to then give Dean their full backing with a boat load of positive claptrap to follow.

I have a feeling this isn’t going to end well.

Look, Dean has had enough time now and he’s proved he’s not good enough. Michelle and co look like they’re giving him until the end of the season.

Very, very dangerous mindset to have because we’ll sink in the play off’s.

Dean will probably play the same formation, with a change up of players.

    Fitzsimons

    Ogle
    Kougun
    Evans
    Kelly

    Clunan
    Beestin
    Pugh

    Ferris
    Wilson
    Elliot

I’d go 4/4/2, but I don’t think Dean has got it in him to start with it.

It appears we have Dean until the end of the season. Telling you all now, this is going to backfire spectacularly.

“There are currently No plans to do so ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bishop Stortford”

We’ll probably play awful, scrape a win and this shit is going to continue.

64 just must think people are robots with no emotions. I’d like to bet a large number of those fans shouting abuse are the one’s that have made that trip twice to be there to watch that utter shite.

You can understand people being pissed off. I was fuming and I watched it on national league tv and only paid £10 and I was nice and warm.

If I made two trips to be there for that game to turn up and watch that utter crap, my blood would have been boiling. That was absolutely pathetic.

it’s comical people are looking at Bennett and carver again

Way I see it is that we’re light of options up front with one in Whitehall who looks to have downed tools and we have two out on loan with one scoring ten and the other in Bennett scoring of late.

What’s so funny about having more options upfront to call upon until the end of the season ?

I’m not the biggest fans of either in all fairness but with what we have currently… WE NEED MORE OPTIONS.

I’d like to think he’d come back. Least he knows the club inside out and showed managerial ability last time, albeit short term.

Come on teacher (ex) – read the question.

Under a new manager “fingers crossed” with half a clue he may set the team up to actually attack and put balls in the box. I’m not Carvers biggest fan but he’s scored there so he can score here. Bennett is even chipping in with a few.

May as well bring them back and have competition upfront. As said above, send Clarke and Youmbi back and recall those two.

Would we be any worse off than we are now ?

Not sure on who else either!

I’d get Nelson in until end of season and have Butler assisting him. Nelson showed enough last time in temporary charge and knows the club. Least when Nelson took charge he had us playing attractive, attacking football with 2 up top.

Way more than what we’re getting with Dean.

Or perhaps we should ask why were they performing before Christmas but not now?

Hilton is what he is but his rant the other day was interesting. The con artist claims the players were told that they would be moving on due to pay cuts and he claimed they have their minds elsewhere and already have one foot out of the door.

I’d bank on that being one of the reasons for the slide and when you couple that with a manager that has no tactical nous, this happens.

but they’ve playing in a system which just leaves them on their own

I’ve said countless times that if we go with two up top we’ll score. Those two occasions Dean switched up and went two up top in following games not long back we scored shortly after.

For added competition I’d send Youmbi and Clarke back and bring Carver and Bennett back here.

I think the players got the message.

Michelle needs to get it now and get this Jimmy Ball binned off.

Then we stay where we are and go part time

Not going to happen. I’m sure Michelle said not long back we’ll stay full time but will do it on a much reduced budget in a bid to become self sufficient.

I agree about a long way back, but we’ll make it I’m sure. This will only become a reality when we have a manager in charge who actually has a clue what he’s doing and knows the exact type of players we’ll need to get out of this league.

I must admit that having a clueless manager at the helm who’s wanting his team to play like a bargain bin Barcelona isn’t working. Pass, pass, pass, pass sideways again x10, Pass backwards. I bet the opposition managers watching this unfold are wandering what the hell we’re trying to do at this level playing this way.

Bonkers really. Jimmy has seen teams playing direct percentage football and cutting us open game in game out and yet it hasn’t clicked that we maybe approaching this level of football incorrectly.

Only worked before because Connor Smith was miles above this level and Butterfield was having a purple patch while scoring Paul Scholes like screamers game in game out.

Even though we’ve come along in saving the club from extinction, it still needs repairing somewhat. Look, we’ve all known for ages that we need a striker through the door, but when 3 players were announced 1 was a good choice in McAlinden and the other two were dreadful.

We brought in another CM who is a mile off from being match fit and a young attacking player who played 17 games for Farsley without scoring ?. Whoever is behind the scenes making these decisions needs a good talking to.

I’d rather we signed only signed two players with McAlinden and a fit striker coming through the door. Scales, Butterfield, Clunan, Pugh , Beestin with Shrimpton out getting match fitness.

Where does an unfit Clarke fit in to it all ?. I don’t think he’s played any meaningful football in about 6 months. Is Youmbi better than Sembie Ferris, Wilson, Elliot, Whitehall, Law “when he’s fit in two weeks time and Roberts in about a months time ?

The young kid can’t even make the bench which just goes to show he was pointless signing.

Now, let’s move on to Dean and this supposed “Jimmy Ball” bull shit. The bloke needs binning off and quick. No tactical nous whatsoever and is nowhere near good enough to manager a club like this.

Get Michael Nelson in and have Butler work alongside him and see where it takes us. Hardly ideal to sack him and pay him up but he’s out of contract soon anyway so can’t see that costing a great deal.

Send Clarke and Youmbi back and put that money towards it. This needs ending and it needs ending now.

Pugh’s not a sitting midfielder to get the best out of him he’s more box to box. Playing a sitting midfielder you’ll need a consistent need and tidy player who not only wins the ball but who sets the tempo and Pugh’s never been that well rounded.

Stonewall penalty MK, but that’s what you expect when word get’s around that you’re throwing yourself to the ground game in game out. Only problem is that the reputation will stay with him at this level. If we don’t manage promotion we may as well move him on because it will continue to keep costing us points.

No idea, but obviously the refs talk amongst themselves and word must get around about his antics because it’s not the first time we’ve been denied a stonewall penalty.

Ok diving around game in game out, only problem is when he does get clipped now the refs aren’t bothering and just playing on.

Referees have definitely cottoned on because Dean said he spoke to the ref post match about the penalty not given and the ref replied with “that’s his game going down”.

Torquay have a blast from the past who’s been an able target man in his career Frank Nouble and of course Aaron Jarvis. They also have a central midfielder who’s netted 7 goals this season.

Nouble and Jarvis would do a job and the central midfielder would probably be better then Scales.

SAD about Rochdale n Torquay hoping deals can be done to save them

Players will be put up for sale or released from Torquay and with them top of the Southern League.

Potential good players for cheap ?

I wasn’t there but according to the people who did go, the general consensus was that Whitehall was poor yet again. The team only really sparked into life when ferris, scales and elliot came on.

Youmbi and wilson were very poor. Beestin looked miles better and Clarke was supposed to have done fairly well. Youmbi I’d send back and loan in a striker who’s actually capable of stepping right in and scoring.

Whitehall’s form has truly dropped off a cliff.

Interesting point about the players have one eye on where they’ll be next season with the budget being slashed. The same was suspected by some on here as the reason why the effort and desire seemed to drop off a cliff.

Hopefully, after Tuesday, Clarke will be approaching match fitness. He must surely be more effective.

Scales is busy enough, but only scored once all season. I can’t see him having too many assists to his name either. Clarke and Beestin will both get 90 mins, so hopefully they’ll be able to push on and oust him.

Butterfield was better 2nd half, but wasn’t that great overall. Youmbi will get 90 mins, so hopefully he’ll turn out to be a good option from the bench. I was surprised to not see Wilson on the bench against Alfreton, I’m not sure what’s going on there because he’s usually good off the bench.
