Been critical of him lately but thought he put a good performance in on Saturday and was unlucky not score. Day to forget for Pugh but Beestin looks like getting back to full fitness.

Best play of the day – young lads smashing the ball into the puddles when the Chester players wanting to take a throw in.

Pugh’s not a sitting midfielder to get the best out of him he’s more box to box. Playing a sitting midfielder you’ll need a consistent need and tidy player who not only wins the ball but who sets the tempo and Pugh’s never been that well rounded.

Seeing the video clip the time Beestin hit the bar it should have been a penalty a straight red for the Chester player, for a two footed lunge, so with the Whitehall incident we should have had 2 penalties, so what was the linesman doing even if the ref didn’t see them

Thought both him and Elliot looked sharp when coming on. Fair play to Jimmy for the positive substitutions too.

I really hope he analyses those last 25minutes and starts to set the team up different for the rest of the season.

The possession based approach has had its day against teams in this league now.

All depends on what the Referee says he wants from his assistants, some are very dictatorial and say they want offsides and throw-ins only.
