Definitely a hint of white plumage starting to appear.

Increasingly the posts of UTI99 make it difficult to believe that he is not on the club payroll.

I expect if Ernie does sell up UTI99 will mysteriously disappear.

You can’t get chips in GP any more anyway.
Humberside commentary was shocking.
Newey was OK, but not the same without Mike White, other bloke was dreadful.2 users thanked author for this post.
Cox is Wilcox in disguise, but worse.

The problem with a don’t lose 0-0 mentality is there is no plan B if we did concede.
I suspect Wilcox left his “Russ’s guide to defensive inspirational football” on the bookshelf in the managers office.Interesting article that worryingly seems to sum things up pretty well.
It would be interesting to know who wrote this and if Ian is just a pseudonym for a local journo as he seems quite au fait with what’s going, he may even read this board.
Well posters did say we had to big a squad last year. Dammed if we do, dammed if we dont.
Trouble is last years squad contained too many poor players.
I trust by the “we” you are one of those selecting the players. Two more long term injuries it seems from the Dale game!
If they carry on getting injured at this rate we will soon struggle to field a team.
After just three games we are starting to suffer the effects of a wafer thin squad.
I think the benifits of the efl loan will soon be proved valueless.1 user thanked author for this post.
Is this all just speculation or can someone actually clarify what has happened ?

I would say ban him, but he provides entertainment.
Hopefully.
If we are in a mess come Christmas it will be interesting to see how the chairman reacts, I suspect he will either pay off the efl load so we can recruit more players or do nothing and let us slide into non league.
In general I don’t believe January transfers do much good, although I remember McCann was a January recruit. However with a bit of luck we might be concerned about nothing and we may be sat comfortably mid table (just seen a pig fly past the window)
It almost seems that Watson is destined to be the number 1 keeper.
I expect I am no different to many others, I don’t care about foot long sausages, tatty flags, crap drains, crap ground, dirty seats, all I want to see is some entertaining attacking football. Give me 2/3 goals and a win at a home game and I will be happy and I am sure so would many others and we would soon have crowds of 4000+.

There was a reason we got a new keeper, proven again today after 45 mins!

Am I remembering wrongly? Didn’t our groundsman regularly used to get an award for our pitch?
Graham Colby retired, Craig Housley left and joined Lincoln !
Jordan Stevenson is current grounds man, looks a bit young so probably a bit short of experience although been here before then was a green keeper with the council so should know what he’s doing.
But the changes in personnel might explain a bit. Will we have made our minds up about Harry Bunn by Saturday evening? Seems to be dragging on a bit.
Due to the time he’s been here I would expect that the decision has been made and they are waiting until all the new recruits are in when there will be a big fanfare announcement.
You would expect that is the intent of most businesses to make it easy for you to part with your money, and most successful businesses do.
The last nib time I did go to a game bought my ticket online, only to find that to collect it I had to stand in the normal ticket queue, won’t be booking online again.
Cashless will definately put off those who decide to attend at the last minute.1 user thanked author for this post.
Is it really a big deal, on the rare occasion that I attend I buy a ticket at the office and never use the food facilities due to the queue, excessive prices and poor quality also haven’t bought a program for years, £26 was enough to pay for an afternoons punishment. I can see draaaaaaw tickets been an exception where cash is allowed so in my view the only potential looser is the club.
So just another thing to add to the increasing list of….. less at the Sands Siro.Cashless
Enjoymentless
Goalless
Funless
Groundless

I’m as frustrated as anyone at the apparent lack of signings but we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes.
It’s best not getting annoyed about it though until all becomes clear, then if we don’t have a prepared squad at the start of the season then start complaining. It’s evident that the views on here are unlikely to result in the club divulging all.1 user thanked author for this post.
I think I preferred the club been run as someone’s hobby.

It seems Mr Whartons bag of wurthers did have an appeal to some players.
In the clubs defence (if there is one) if its coming from China there are massive delays on container shipments on virtually everything.
We probably won’t have a squad in place till October so it won’t matter anyway.I think we may have difficulty fielding eleven players let alone a full bench of subs.
Let’s just hope Ernie has something up his sleeve, but he’s leaving it late.It wouldn’t suprise me to see Cox walk.
Perhaps the efl are running a six a side league this year and this is the reason for our smaller squad because if injuries are as frequent as previously we won’t be able to field a side.
Interesting insight into what went on. Doesn’t give much hope for new signings and probably explains why there’s been so few, sounds like the club starts off offering peanuts which isn’t even enough to instigate a negotiation.
Like others have said seems to confirm what a lot on here thought was happening. -
