On reflection I was probably a bit harsh on Cox, he was dealt a bad hand with injuries and some indifferent signings but he has done enough to keep us up, which given the circumstances is something of an achievement. It has been his first significant management post so let’s hope he has gained some experience from it and we move on next season to see some inspiring attacking football.
On reflection after reading IA’s post I was probably a little harsh on Cox in another thread, he has done enough to keep us up and we are in a better position than the cods, but he does need to try to play more attacking football now the injury situation has improved and stop worrying too much about the opposition. Let’s hope we see some exciting football as he gets more experienced.

Agree, unfortunately Cox is clueless, we know that and I expect the players do as well. Tries to be the master tactician which just highlights his shortcomings.
Absolutely San Fran, as much as I support my team I won’t be going back to watch negative tactics and boring football, yesterday was pathetic defending a one goal lead after less than 15 mins. Apart from at Harrogate Cox never seems to want to go for the jugular and bag a few goals, he’s very much like Wilcox.Tuesdays game was even worse.
Please PS tell him to pull his finger out and start to play attacking exciting football otherwise your going to have a lot of unsold pies when you open the Sands Siro.Tinkerman isn’t clever enough to tinker.
He over thinks everything, just play to win every match rather than target games.1 user thanked author for this post.
Woeful, ZERO shots on target.
Thats one goal from open play in three games.

Tom Newey summed it up, playing at home, but set up for an away game.
Shocking, no wonder we have no bite up front.2 users thanked author for this post.
BUMP, back to normal, Tinkerman strikes again, shocking so far, absolutely no idea, their GK hasn’t broke sweat.

A good thrashing, largely due to Cox showing the opposition too much respect and setting up according coupled with the fact that we are not really very good.
The positive is Gem and KVV should be back from injury when we play again, the downside though is everyone will be a bit match rusty.
Maybe we can stick another five past Harrogate. My point is we would be better off paying rent to the council than what would effectively be a private company.
We would become like Hull, but instead of paying rent to the council like they do we would be in a worse position paying rent to Coolsilk.
It would be nice to get six points but we’ve been here before this season, the team perform well and build up our expectations only for them to implode. Its impossible to know what your going to get with this lot, but here’s hoping.
Perhaps the prawn should get to training more often!Absolutely IIBT, Cox needs to stop bigging up the opposition and play to our strengths and stop worrying about the opposition.

It’s a tactical ploy telling the cods our only forward is injured, then he’ll rock up on the day and play, with KVV on the bench.
We will probably be saved any embarresment by this mornings heavy frost earning us a P.
That’s it then formation sorted,
5-5-0
Two banks of five plying in front of a crap keeper with KVV on the bench as a tactical ploy, aiming for a 0-0 draw, only to be thwarted by a last min penalty or stray back pass. You really have to question the number of injuries at this club, is it a bit of I don’t want to play syndrome.

Listening to Mr Swann I got the inference that KVV will be back before what Cox has stated so I expect he will be on the bench Saturday even if it is just a tactical ploy.
My money says KVV will be on the bench on Saturday.
Whilst I appreciate the admaral efforts of the brew team with this and the podcasts and will be following the chat, you have to question the value of interviewing the prawn. His answers will be so predictable and he certainly won’t be divulging and secrets or details of anything new like names of incoming/outgoing players.
The best thing he could say is that there will be a Paul Fox for sale board going up Tuesday morning, with an attachment say quick sale wanted.Has he gone?
January 17, 2021 at 12:37 pm in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #201142I think your been a bit optimistic Cass expecting 3000 in the sinking sands when it opens I think it will be more like 1500/2000
Don’t be silly WG, didn’t you listen to Coxs aftermatch interview, he said he wasn’t worried about relegation!
I’m only joking, I’m as worried as you are Cox is out of his depth and clearly deluded.
Anyone who’s any good will be too expensive.
Let’s face it Cox’s position is safe as houses, even though managers have been sacked for much better performnce and league position as theres no money left we are left with Cox for the foreseeable.
Cods must be rubbing their hands, a three point banker for them next weekend !
Following the masterplan used at Trinity.

Its pathetic now, Brown suckered and sent off, from someone’s hobby to a joke of a football team.
“we forget we are playing an excellent side and need to adjust to nullify them. Cox will so pleased not to concede to a side below us”
This is the problem, Cox thinks everyone is a good side and sets up accordingly.
Even the Cumbrian commentators suggest we should have been attacking more from the start.WOEFULL
Time for Cox to go I’m afraid.
The first team squad need to go freeze their nuts off and stand on the side lines and watch and learn how to do it !
