All of them out, Loft a big doubt Joey Dawson on bench.

Cox said Saturday he hoped to bring somebody in this week Swann said its KVV.

I guess I would go with Eisa and Green up front in 4-4-2 – nothing else you can do really unless you try the youth

We’ve had no fit for purpose strikers since Kev broke down again.

And why have we no fit strikers? More training pitch injuries no doubt.

Mooney played for the U23s this week, has his loan finished?

SUFC must be the only team to have 5 strikers and all of them are injured.

We never have a shot against the Cods anyway unless KVV is playing so makes no difference.

Have we got ten defenders we can play?

    That’s it then formation sorted,
    5-5-0
Two banks of five plying in front of a crap keeper with KVV on the bench as a tactical ploy, aiming for a 0-0 draw, only to be thwarted by a last min penalty or stray back pass.

You really have to question the number of injuries at this club, is it a bit of I don’t want to play syndrome.

5-5-0 wasn’t that the formation at Barrow and tbh it feels like it has been for 80% of the season so far.

I’m hoping things will change this weekend but chances of Cox seeing the blatant obvious are very slim.

What a sad state with our scrap heap of so called strikers. Maybe we will have to try and find a man this weekend rather than lumping it into outer space.

This will piss off the 4-4-2 merchants.

Given how little our strikers score anyway, I’m sure it won’t make that much difference anyway.

You may knock the 4-4-2 merchants, but our stats are much better with that formation than without it.

I think we can find other ways to win than just using 4-4-2, but it has to be without relying on 3 CDMs as we did against Barrow. We need some hope of creativity and forward mindedness which can get us a goal or two.

    Isn’t Mcatee fit?

I’m sure he played a couple of games as striker last year and was actually billed as a striker when he came ?

I certainly can’t see him and Green doing any worse than the others this year and their pace would cause Grimsby problems.

Expect to see Eisa left up top on his own though and is fall to another 1-0 defeat

McAtee dead leg Cliff (how do they know?) No Loft surely means we will have to try and pass the ball for a change.
Green and Gilliead on the right, Eisa and Hippo on the left with the players from both sides alternating centrally could baffle the fishy CBs. L2 CBs not noted for their pace and agility so it might work.
(The downside is it could also confuse our players)

I like it Cass. Like a League 2 Guardiola.

No forwards to confuse the numpty Cod centre backs while Du Bruyne pings it to our speedy unmarked wide men.

Oh shit, we dont have a Du Bruyne.

    Hurry back Kev.

Not the best idea putting all our faith in Kev when he’s only managed more than half a seasons worth of games twice in the last seven years ( 34 & 27 )

I would have thought Jessop might have got a chance but sounds like Dawson is ahead of him to come off the bench. If Mcatee is fit, stick him up there behind Green.

We haven’t really got anybody else.

I’m still confused as to why Green hasn’t been given a chance sooner.

Won’t they play Hippolyte up front, supposed to have played well at Walsall.

Cassidy I think his loan terms allow him to play for our U23s as well.

Surely this is just a deliberate leak to phycologically unsettle the cods, we can’t be this badly organised, can we?

I’m sure that we will do better without the big lump up front, Green and McAtee.

No fit strikers and no best centre back due to managerial stupidity equals, no bloody idea. Just about sums up the situation at Scunthorpe United.
