From Saturday the answer is yes.
Oh dear, I wonder who’ll be responsible for recruitment next season?
Who do you reckon Awaywego?
Have a dozen or so guesses and when you get fed up I’ll give you clue who it isn’t!Just being to the ground to get grandkids season tickets or should we say tried, you just know with Scunny there going to make it hard.
Looked like there was going to be board meeting saw Roj and Turnbull heading inside or maybe just going in for dinner.Surprised you didn’t say hello!

Doesn’t matter what the poll says.
He’s here for the start of next season.
As I’ve previously stated, he wouldn’t be my choice to lead us next season. In case anybody didn’t see it further up the thread, he’s here for the foreseeable.
Not what I would’ve wanted but the board do.So who is the jaw-dropping new appointment you’ve been telling us about?
“Jaw dropping”, where did I state that?
The words I used was “impressed with”.
I’m impressed with the appointment, obviously awayyago isn’t but then the only thing that impresses him is his bullshit.
As for when you find out,it’s obviously when it’s announced. It was a loan, it was always a loan, it’s in the company accounts as a loan.
OK I’ll bite.
I’ve spoken to Simon Elliott at length, I’m not now and never was a fan but I’ll leave it there.
Ian Sharp, spoken to him on many occasions, 100% genuine and put his money where his mouth is, I haven’t a bad word for him, he’s Scunthorpe United through and through and doesn’t deserve the bad mouthing from certain posters on here that have never met him and wouldn’t have the bottle to say it to his face, if they did he would just laugh at them.
As for Lee Turnbull, yet again there’s those on here bad mouth him but wouldn’t have the bollocks to say it to his face, not that Lee would give a shit anyway.5 users thanked author for this post.

Not what I would’ve wanted but the board do.Having a well deserved break.
One of two people who kept the club running whilst Hilton was determined to run the club into the ground.
Some people have very short memories with blinkered views.10 users thanked author for this post.
There’s going to be some disappointed people on here, myself included.
See you next season Jimmy.1 user thanked author for this post.
Pretty sure it was one of dodgy Dave’s claims that the dispute between the club (Swann) and the Telegraph was resolved.
Of course everything that Hilton ever stated was 100% accurate wasn’t it!

It is appalling that there has been so little mention of the Iron in the newspaper. Come back, Bob Steels!
I seem to remember a falling out between the owners of the Telegraph and the club.
Telegraph owners demanding a fee to cover the clubs matches and news, club refusing to pay them, rightly so IMO.
I assume that disagreement is still in place.I admire your optimism Gurnelista, fortunately I don’t share it.

Think you’re referring to Gareth?
Ah, apologies – my mistake. Yes, I was. He also took to Twitter yesterday and was telling people to ‘stay classy’ (I had noticed).
The Ironarmy guy made no such comment, it was the other guy from the podcast, Yorky who was barking out instructions to be classy when he’s the foul mouthed one on the podcast, they were all Hilton supporters so I take no notice of what they say.
If leading the league for a good part of the season, finishing in the playoffs and then going out on a penalty are grounds for dismissal, who of any calibre would want to come here and with hardly any cash to spend? What sort of reputation does it give the club?
In case nobody noticed, it has been the persistent sacking of managers season after season that has contributed to the club being where it is already – in the proverbial cesspit of NLN.
You’re confusing the term “sacked” with not having a contract renewed!
Nobody is being sacked.
The guy from the smoking goat has not had his contract renewed, not heard anyone claiming he’s been sacked.1 user thanked author for this post.
At least one person on here is closer than they think.
Andy Crosby.
It was wishful thinking on my part, although I wouldn’t discount it happening.
I do find it highly amusing that you spend time trawling through the forum though, you’re obsessed with me, it would be frightening if it wasn’t so amusing.Interesting that you’ve all misread what I’ve stated.
I stated that “the current manager would not be responsible for player recruitment next season”
I didn’t anywhere state that the current manager wouldn’t be here next season although I would personally prefer he wasn’t.
All depends on the (hopefully) next two games as to whether he is or not. It’s Andy Butler, even i could have figured that out.
Then you would be wrong.
The one we will be impressed by, but you did imply that the one who did the recruiting wouldn’t be the manager. Or were you covering all eventualitys.
I’m impressed, others will be.
You obviously won’t but then you’re confusing me with someone who gives a shit whether you are or not…… you’re insignificant!I wonder if an appointment has already been made who has suggested who stays and who could be recruited.
One has!
Middle blocks of the main stand virtually sold out too.
That’s not accurate, the reason all those seats are greyed out is because they belong to season ticket holders, they’ll remain that way until the deadline for season ticket holders to reserve their seats for Saturday’s match, if they don’t they’ll turn green and become available to purchase.
That’s not accurate either; a large proportion were available on Sunday until word got round non season ticket holders could buy tickets. Subsequently they are now nearly unavailable.
Perhaps didn’t make myself clear, the greyed out seats are sold, on Sunday all the greyed out ones were season ticket holders, however the ones in Green were available to book, the season ticket holders seats will remain greyed out until Thursday evening for them to book, if they don’t wish to attend then their seats will be available and will turn Green.
Therefore, although the exec area is looking as if it’s completely sold out, it isn’t and maybe some seats will become available on Thursday evening.Middle blocks of the main stand virtually sold out too.

Maggie didn’t do U turns but The National league do!
What are some of going to moan about after Monday? There’s a fair amount of moaning on here, it’s nothing compared to twitter, one guy has stated that the club not selling tickets until the National league will allow them to will knock “500+ off the attendance”.
I’m unsure how he knows this and furthermore why would the club who are desperate for every penny they can raise do this on purpose?
As I stated earlier, any genuine supporter who genuinely wants to be at the game will be!2 users thanked author for this post.
Everyone who really wants a ticket will get one.
Is there any members of the forum or anyone they know can honestly claim that they wanted to a ticket for an SUFC home match but weren’t able to get one either online or by visiting the ticket office or via telephone?
No, didn’t think so.2 users thanked author for this post.
A room has already been earmarked for an SUFC museum, there’s a large amount of memorabilia set aside.
Ready for next season.1 user thanked author for this post.
What is disturbing is that a guy who has been selling food to thousands of football supporters is publicly stating that the kitchens and catering points he’s been using are “not fit for purpose “
In time for Spalding.
