Jai Rowe might one day make it as a centre back but right now he is our best right back so needs to play there.
Even if Pugh was a decent stand in right back (he isn’t) he is our most consistent midfielder so needs to play there.
Won’t take Mr Hill long to work out these things.

Those who didn’t see the game don’t be fooled by the stats.
The game can be best summed up by “Keith went to the cupboard and the cupboard was bare”.
I like Rowe when he plays full back and I like Pugh when he doesn’t. Both struggled out of position.
Green and Hippolyte were, well Green and Hippolyte. At least Devarn had the good grace to hurt his hand or arm when he fell on his arse for the 17th time and go off injured. Jarvis used Loft’s introduction to disappear from the game totally until Scrimshaw came on to put him out of his misery.
Wood looked like a boy in a man’s world.
Watson was OK. Taft was OK. Perry hit a few decent passes. Hackney probably the pick of a poor midfield so of course he was the one they took off.
Loft and Scrimshaw almost made a game of it when we somehow managed to get a couple of reasonable crosses in. It would have been a joy if Scrimshaw’s second excellent finish had not been ruled offside as it would have wiped the smile of that smug barsteward Wellins face. Donny were fairly inept and as petty as Wellins sides always are. The Donny trainer covered the most distance of anyone involved giving lots of pretend treatment to lots of pretend injuries.
Hope you brought a big coat Keith, it’s going to be a long winter.

Supply Loft and Scrimshaw with decent crosses and they may well score.
3 people on the books that can cross a ball. Bunn but he doesn’t count because he’s always injured. O’Malley and Wilson are the others.

Never attracted good crowds until the quarter final stages at least even before the EFL sold another peice of it’s soul to the mighty premiership in exchange for a few crumbs of cash.

I am sad enough to read most stuff written about the Iron in the public domain and I have never seen anything (other than on here) that suggests he is leaving.
Love him or hate him as a player he is currently the most likely player we have to score an occasional goal and however well or badly he plays he gives 100% for me.

They did get Wilson to warm up late on then realised they had already made 5 substitutions.
Having to sub a sub doesn’t help. Suspect we might see him on Tuesday.

Agree Les but I hope we’re wrong.
Would imagine all league 2 sides, half of the league 1 sides and the monied half dozen National league sides would all be in the queue for him.
Allegedly all of the above have bigger budgets than us.

Must have missed Devarn’s good game last season WG.
Agree he does not have the same problem as Hippolyte. He works hard and I would love to see him succeed.
As Usain Bolt demonstrated in his attempts to be a professional footballer being quick isn’t much use if you can’t pass, cross or shoot.
The fact that 50% of his runs end up with him on his arse looking for a free kick that never comes doesn’t help either.

One of Cox’s problems was to favour the players he signed although not the first Iron manager to do that.
Not sure if Millen was injured yesterday but interesting that O’Malley and Rowe got the nod at full back by McMahon. Both have struggled for starts under Cox.
Hippolyte also didn’t start and may not be doing in the foreseeable if the snippet from the half time team talk is true. Although it took him time to show it Hackney is the only summer signing to to demonstrate he is any better than players already here and of course he is going back in January.
Still hopeful Scrimshaw will look the part if Hill can organise a bit of quality ball to him.
Thompson is a hard working lad but no better a defender than O’Malley and not as good going forward.
Davis, Kenyon and Millen have had 2 good games between them although injuries have not helpedwith either of them. The so called experienced guys have been underwhelming at best so far.
I hope another 1 or 2 of our own young lads get the chance to shine in Tuesdays otheraise meaningless game (Wilson and Gallimore perhaps).
Dont think Mr Hill will fanny about with those that don’t care e.g. Hippolyte or those that will never be good enough e.g. Green.

Happy to defend the right to verbally abuse the people that actually do these things. Would do so myself.
Not the same thing to abuse a community or race for the actions of some members of that community or race.

Tell that to the people who have to clear their shit up, and I mean human shit, they never bring a toilet with them and they refuse to shit in their own caravans, so they leave their smelly presents up against people back gardens especially when on the field near Marsden drive now that’s what I call really objectionable.
There are some in the travelling community that do some bad and very selfish things. There are many that don’t which is why blaming a community for the actions of some members is racism.
There are a number of white English people that do bad and very selfish things but a lot of them seem to end up governing us.

Sounds like Peter is bored with meddling too much with the football side. Can’t see Mr Hill putting up with that.
Shame we didnt stick with Hurst and we probably would not be this deep in the shit.
