I see Walsall have binned their manager.

We must be close to a world record for the number of managers that get sacked the day after losing to us.

I think Delaney was excellent last night and looks an upgrade on Taft’s recent displays. To be fair Taft did OK when he came on. A lot more energy than he has been showing.

Possibly a player that needs something to prove to bring out his best given how good he looked when he first arrived here on loan.

I have to agree with Lesgeo. You get some poor referees at the arse end of league football but tonight’s was a doozy.

No because it was 2 yellow cards.

You can only appeal a straight red – which is what the Walsall player should have got.

Agree with NI. Only been to Mansfield and Port Vale this season but our fans were great at both.

iFollow pretty much wise to the free VPN’s and a number of the paid ones. Trickiest part of the process is finding a VPN that works consistently. It also gives issues “casting” to a smart tv from your phone or tablet as they have different IP adresses.

I just watch the away Saturday games on the tablet now which is OK.

The Old Farmhouse pub almost next to the ground probably a good option. Soulless estate pub but more choices of beer and away fan friendly for all but local rivals. Probably have a couple pre match in there myself by way of an anesthetic before another 90 minutes of shite.

Pretty much all except Saturday 3 o clock kick offs.

These are available only on international breaks and Premier League winter break. The EFL wouldn’t want to be upsetting the Premier League now would they.

You can purchase and watch those games if you go through a suitable VPN and order/watch from “abroad”. A bit fiddly but doable.

It is a difficult call BS. Do you pick players that can run about a lot but not create anything or do you play players that might be able to do something but are not yet fit?

Also if you don’t play the guys that are not yet match fit there is not much chance of them achieving match fitness.

Hill is between a rock and a hard place. Personally I would go again with the new boys for 60 minutes and hope we can score without giving away our usual set peice goal and then send on Bunn, Rowe and Pugh to try and hang on.

Of course that plan goes to shit if we concede or dont manage to score in the first hour.

I’m not just impressed (and a little envious) of their away support UTI99.

They are much better at organising protests against unpopular owners as well. Apart from gate gate and a few moans on bru and twitter we have done nothing.

Another cracking stat from Iron Stats on Twitter. Iron have failed to win the last 10 times we have had a 5000 plus home attendance.

At least we won’t have to worry about that particular hoodoo for the rest of the season.

Looking at your recent results I think you are in a relegation battle with ourselves and Oldham.

You are going to be very poor to not manage to finish above the pair of us.

Keith Hill inherited a very poor squad but he managed to get them fit enough to at least compete in games. He has brought 8 players in but they are either loanees with little experience or experienced guys that have lost their way. Most have not been playing so now we have a match fitness problem again.

Hill will get them fit and we may pick up some points later in the season when it will probably be too late.

It’s a good time to be playing us but if we do somehow beat you tomorrow you probably should be very afraid.

You don’t have to have an intimate relationship with alcohol to support the Iron but I personally find it helps these days.

If you want to reach out to people that no longer give a toss about the Iron you are probably doing it in the wrong place.

UTI99 – I have a season ticket for home games. I’ve managed the away games at Mansfield and Port Vale. I have an iFollow season pass so I don’t miss the games I can’t get to.

I fully understand supporting the team through ups an downs which I have done for 56 years despite living well away from the area for over 30 of those years.

I just get a bit pissed off at being told the current shit show is somehow my fault.

Why don’t you have yourself a few months off UTI99 and then come back refreshed to tell us why it’s our fault we’re shite in the National league.

Was not the Stelling criticism for sacking Wilcox?

One of the few things Mr Swann has got right as Russ’s managerial record since has confirmed.

If Keith Hill was good enough to turn around the 4 years of decline in 3 months then he would be managing a Champions League side – not trying to work the miracle with ten bob players at the Sinking Sands.

If we could play like Keith talks we have nothing to worry about.

Let’s face it Cox’s team never did get used to playing together.

    Onwards and hopefully upwards.

We’ve needed a player to hold the ball up front in all 28 games and never looked like having one.
Those are the guys who create for others, make defenders worried and set up the chances.
The worry is that a number of players in our squad have never seen this phenomenon before. They need to be taught what it entails and to start getting used to this – and bloomin’ quickly!

It would be good to see opposition centre backs not playing in slippers and with a cigar on for a change.

Why did we have to have 4 years of rapid decline before employing a manager that knows what he is doing and letting him get on with it?

    Too little, too late?

    We will see.

We have to accept we have not just brought in a Hooper, a Beckford and a Wallace but we must hope they have a bit more about them than those that have gone.

It will take all the new gang some time to get “Hill fit”.

With Grant and Feeney we edged the midfield against a decent side last Saturday for the first half at least.

Shame we had nothing apart from Burns up front to benefit from that.

Second half a combination of Vale stepping up the pace and our new boys dropping off it and it was a different story.

No doubt all of these guys will need time and games to show their best. Hopefully we can scrap 2 or 3 results until that happens.

No a free transfer is from one club to another without a fee being paid

The clue is in the name. A transfer that is free.

Mind you Collins is having a blinder down in Spalding according to the Twitter feed.

I’m hoping our new signings are really good WG but we will probably still need a goalkeeper.

Also when was the last time Beestin looked properly fit?
