It proves the supporters right though, you need at least 50% experience.
When I had problems the other week it was VPN blocking it.
I thought we were going backwards not forwards.
you could not argue with what he said and nobody in their right mind won’t disagree with him.
I don’t what the obsession is with playing central midfielders or wingers at right back.
I think we wanted a younger team, but we wanted league 2 experienced younger players not Southern League or lower, we also need players playing in their normal positions and no strange formations.
does any of you use VPN, if you do make sure you are in England with your IP address because if you are logged into Ireland, Scotland or abroad you might have problems, best thing is to switch it off.
I would take the win over a good performance or clean sheet.
I am not watching it, will watch Crusaders v Coleraine in the Irish League, at least there will be something at stake.
I did say, I think, Bill.
lower league football clubs usually sign a side that can compete in the league they are playing in, plus 2 or 3 that are good enough when needed, they then have a few bench warmers that can come on for a few minutes or play if the club has injuries.
Scunthorpe United have signed a side that can’t compete in the league they are playing in, they have 6 or 7 that are good enough for the league but are either injured or not doing enough in training, they also have a few more that can make the numbers up.
who’s fault it is I have no idea but the responsibility is with the Chairman.
to me if you have inexperienced players you certainly don’t want playing out of positions in a complicated formation, play to the players strengths.
the way we are getting points at the moment those 3 games may as well be zero, it is like 2 years ago when we needed 10 points from 15 games and still failed miserably.
but like Les says there is too much inexperience in the team and with the best players being injured it’s like putting a reserve team out, now I think players have lost confidence and us supporters the will to live.
Lee Turnbull told me they are just dealing with agents.
we might find out soon vader, Matt Blanchard asked me to ask him if he would do a podcast and he was reluctant when he was at the club, I gave Matt his number and he promised he would think about it, Matt asked me a couple of weeks ago if I thought he would do one now so I asked him and he has promised to do one when he is a bit less angry which has pleased Matt because he has been at the club a number of years and he is a very funny bloke and has told me he has got some interesting stories of past managers etc, so we will wait and see.
Jim Lumby was a great lad and him and Kevin Kilmore used to give me tickets at away games one season, he also had played 30 odd games for the Cods before we signed him from Gainsborough Trinity I think, he also got a few goals for us and played for Carlisle and Tranmere after us, Greeny wasn’t a bad player either and we sold him and eventually brought him back, Steve Earl wasn’t bad either being local lad but sadly died at the age of 48, we have had some good players come through the youth system here but this year our signings have been bizarre, and Lee Turnbull told me a couple of weeks ago he is angry and embarrassed what has happened at the club this summer.
I would make arrangements with Mansfield to play the u23s on Tuesday if it is possible seeing nothing at stake.
I’ve got to admit this is worse than the dark days of the all red strip, at least they gave their all in those days and we weren’t averaging 3 goals a game against at home and rarely putting the opposition under pressure.
I can’t remember that message even being worded like this, did he alter the message because I can’t recall it saying that.
If not, I fear I may have lost my mind.
Could I get a job working alongside the transfer committee down at GP, I’d probably fit in !
I read it and all it meant was they are recording it today while everyone isn’t happy rather than the following day when they had calmed down, I hope Neil Wright is on it. No mention of sackings what I read.
I was right then NI.
Can’t argue much with anyone, Gillihead our best player by a mile.
We win nothing in the air at either end of the pitch, we had two full backs in the starting line up but still end up having a winger at right back and he conceded a penalty, also we had our usual 2 shots on target, we just never see any improvement, only Gillihead came out with any credit from me, Brown had a decent game apart from the penalty which was possibly rustiness, but we have conceded a lot of penalties.
I see Callum Howe is out of their team he has had an operation.
The mental health was tested that season by the 11 games we dropped points in injury time by sitting back late in games though we probably had the strongest squad in the division.
One thing for sure we will be able to see if we can compete in the National League with the players we have.
but we have others who are out and hopefully when we get the experienced players back we will improve.
you have to pay a tenner for this one, but after paying out £30 for Crawley, Tranmere and Man City FA Youth Cup Winners I said to myself I wasn’t going to pay for anymore until we start to try to win matches, but seeing it’s the FA Cup I will pay for this one, but will leave it until Sunday morning making sure we are playing first.
I see the the iFollow details are available now lads.
Have you learned the lingo NI.
