If we are releasing Shipstone and Simmonds then Butler has not been fair with them. To hang onto them until a week before the season begins does not give them much time to get another club!! He should have seen enough of them to decide by now. From is being reported on here is correct he is going to bring in a new player next week that he hasn’t seen play yet.
Fans are as interested in what’s happening at the club in close season as they are in season. Four things mentioned above. Rowley injury, season tickets, Whitehall injury and transfer rumour. What does it take to put on the site a brief note of whats happening. So that we all know as much as the rumour mongers!!
thanks for that update
We keep on about the goalkeeper being not good enough. After yesterday’s performance, what about the 10 headless chickens that are playing in front of him. No cohesion in midfield at all. Beck is about as useful as tits on bulls.

Which half of the table at the end of season? After last nights effort and all this nonsense with the GK. ( he is not good enough for this level) I would say relegation battle. It is irrelevant that it is only a pre season friendly to be 2up and lose 3-2 to APP FROD is disgraceful.

Surely the crowds should increase with increase in away supporters attending matches
Sam Sloc played 8 league games last season – 3 clean sheets conceded 7 goals in the other five games
Looks like we are keeping most of last seasons team. They didn’t perform with 5 at the back against part time teams in NLN. What makes you think they will perform better against full time teams in the NL?
Thanks guys
I believe the gate was 8975
Trying to watch the match, paid the fee but noting showing
I have paid to watch the match on DAZN anybody know if there is a problem. I have selected the match but nothing is being displayed
Cannot believe what I am seeing. We are strapped for cash and worried what class of player will have for next season but that doesn’t matter we need a Vice President to back up our stressed and overworked CEO. How many season tickets do we have to sell to cover their wages, money that would be better spent on players. If Luke does as well as the CEO in attracting more capital into the club we are in trouble. They will have taken more than they have brought in.

The club needs money obviously. I am a pensioner, how many £20 shares do the club expect an individual to purchase?
I am at a loss. All this rumblings about investments etc. I have not heard one word from the mysterious CEO. Who is he, what does he actually do for the club, except take a huge wage for doing nothing. When she took him on Michelle said he do the day to day running of the club. Has anybody actually seen him at any matches?? Has he brought any new investment, any more sponsorships?? Michelle really made a mistake with him, she would have been better keeping Turnbull. He wasnt brilliant but at least he knew the club and supported it fully, probably at half the price.

I’m retired I would do the administrator for free!!
Surely the trick is to get a couple of goals and then let them waste as much time as they like. We cannot afford to go for a draw.

19 games, one defeat sounds good but why arent we out of site at the top of the league? Simple Brackley lost 10 we lost 5 however Brackley drawn 4 us drawn 12. Draws do not win leagues!!

The game in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup played at Bottesford was behind closed doors because we could not afford the security. How can they now afford the security/policing for a potential 10000 attending. They will have to employ personnel to ensure security for that figure and have to pay them!! If only a few hundred turn up those security will still have to be paid. You cannot wait until the day and try and reduce the security personnel when you realise how low the attendance is going to be.
As for a membership scheme, it was mentioned maybe £10.00 per month. The only perks that could be offered is a reduction in ticket/shop purchase etc. Giving with one hand taking it away with the otherIf the play off final is 10th May and the team gets together again for preseason end of June begin July a matter of a few weeks it would be crazy to have your team on a 44 week contract. A no stability or continuity within the team. What incentive is there to a player if he knows that at the end of the season he hasn’t a job. If, like we normally do, we do not offer new contracts until the season has ended, the whole team could reject new contract leaving about eight weeks to put a team together from scratch. I cannot see any reasonable player signing to come here for 44 weeks when other clubs, may offer less wages but offer long term contracts. Defiantly a recipe for disaster.
Sorry what I meant to point out is that Rushall were in the same predicament as Warrington when we played them. Again we were expected to get a bucket full of goals and instead we lost. Are we in for a fall again this wek?
We are not consistent, hence the reason why we are not top and out of reach instead of struggling to maintain a challenge.
Rushall Olympic 2 Scunthorpe 1
Lincolnshire non league radio may have it.

My apologies, when I wrote my comment it was showing 4040 – I see now it has dropped to 3990. Still a few hundred not showing up and providing the money that the club desperately needs
I dint think we can give him 4 6 more games, it will be far too late to catch up by then. We are already in a dire situation. People keep saying “but are third and haven’t been beaten in three games”. Take a look at the table, Curzon 2 pts ahead 2 games in hand, 3 teams below us have a game in hand, if they win them we will be in 7th place. On current form the only way we are going is down. Draws do not get you promoted, ask Russ Wilcox

Our supposed average attendance is 4040, gates recently are around 3500 (and decreasing) as season ticket holders will continue to turn up because they have already paid for their tickets it means the club is losing the revenue from the sale of tickets to 500 fans. At £15 per ticket thats £7500.00 minimum. This at a time when we had to play a cup match behind closed doors because we could not afford to pay for the security

See Billy Sharp playing for Donny and Garry Hooper playing for Kettering in FA cup. If Hooper is playing at this level should he not be playing for us?
Does the board actually come to the match and watch the rubbish that is being served up, surely they can see AB is taking this club down. There is currently a petition going round asking for a new general election. Maybe its time we started a petition to the board for a new manager!!
Why do we sink to the level of these part time teams and play heading tennis, we are useless at it. Last two games change of tactics, 4 points, should have given AB an idea how we should play. Not for AB though, he wants his five, so what do we get – the worst performance from Scunthorpe probably ever. He has to go!!
