Spoke to Lee Turnbull at Orient.
He was full of enthusiasm and ideas for the future of our Club.
Problem is as I see it Swann owns the Club so is Lees employer so Lee might be full of enthusiasm etc but ultimately like any other employee will only be allowed to do what Swann will let him do.
While Swann owns the Club he will also control the finances etc.2 users thanked author for this post.
If nothing changes and by that I mean Mr Swann is still running the Club then in 12 months we could be about to embark on a new adventure in the National League North.
Orient could and should have scored 8 today !
Our fate was sealed months ago and the Owner did not have the courage to see it through to the end.
With this lot we will be in National League North in 12 months time !2 users thanked author for this post.
At this moment in time nothing has changed except Swann stood down as Chairman.
Turnbull is an employee of the Club that Swann owns plus owning everything else.
Got out so he does nt have to face the consequences of his policies when we get relegated in a couple of weeks.
Relegation will not be on his CV !1 user thanked author for this post.
The way that Security Firm Director has put things in his statement makes it sound like he’s involved in some sort of military conflict every other Saturday.

I received an email from the Chairman of the Iron Trust which he gave me permission to put on Iron Bru Site
The stewarding at Scunthorpe United FC has been a cause of concern for the Iron Trust in recent weeks.
I have asked Humberside Police to look into the incident of the ‘cuffing’ which I did witness from the west stand to ensure no laws have been broken by the steward.
I have also asked them to look into the stewarding in general and the disparity between how home and away supporters are treated.
John Needham has discussed this issue with Paul Hurrell and is due to meet Phil Jacklin Head of security at Scunthorpe United on the matter.
We are particularly concerned about those stewards giving the appearance of riot police. The ‘ I ‘ mentioned is Tony the Chairman of the Trust.

Look forward to seeing you at the Fans Forum that the Club are over due in holding !
Mr Swann is in for a shock if he thinks he’s got a yes man !1 user thanked author for this post.
One things for sure ‘ He won’t be a yes man ‘ !
He might not have a vote but you can bet everything will be questioned as well as positive ideas put forward by him.5 users thanked author for this post.
Now that Neil is on the Board representing all the Fans how is he going to inform us about issues raised by him on our behalf and the outcome and also what has been brought up at Meetings he is allowed to tell us.
I appreciate that there are sensitive matters that he will not be able to discuss.
As Neil is representing all Fans I think that it is important that there is a structured feedback to us.I think that Neil will try his best and the fans will get to know bits and pieces of information.
He and Simon will sit at Board Meetings powerless however because the Swann Directors have complete control.
Will anything change while Swann in charge ?
I very much doubt it !
Good luck Neil.4 users thanked author for this post.
As I understand it Neil is not just representing the Iron Trust on the Board but was selected by all the Fans Organisations to represent all Fans on the Board.

Development of the Apartments !!
Will they ever happen ?
The Hotel in Blackpool is months if not years behind schedule no doubt with ever rising costs and still not finished. He’s done all those things and should go but if he does go then our Club goes.
We are screwed on and off the pitch by him1 user thanked author for this post.
Ill ! Really !
When’s the Hotel in Blackpool opening ?
Last I read it was now Autumn 2022 as still wanted fitting out.
This will be costing Coolsilk a fortune as it should have been open a long time ago and building costs and materials are going up all the time.Time for more some more protests !
Did nt realise we had already had some !Do you really think he is interested ?
Will put minimum in to get maximum out when we fold !To be replaced by a 19 who’s not played League Football if rumours are true.

How’s the work coming along on the Ground redevelopment and the new apartments ?
1 user thanked author for this post.
Every Copper in Humberside having a bit of overtime.
There was even a ‘ Humberside Marine Section Car ‘ there !
As for all the Police standing in front of the walls second half , what was that all about !
The Club pay for every Police Officer inside the Ground.
I think Humberside are busing them in to make money.
It’s about time someone looked at what’s going on with this lot !1 user thanked author for this post.
Because they are paying them £2000 -£3000 a week !
Went to the Meeting and Swann totally focused on getting the missing 1000 back.
I m also not impressed with what’s going on to attract people back who they are convinced don’t come mainly from Covid related reasons.
Seem to pinning a lot of hope on this survey but when asked how many had replied no one seemed certain ! Then 400 mentioned but survey still open.
When suggestions put forward to attract new fans there always seemed a reason why they could nt do it. It might have been an idea if one of the Team with Mr Swann had taken notes of suggestions put to them !
Not doing this gives the impression not really interested in what was said to them! Mind you the Meeting was half over before the other 3 were introduced and that was only after someone asked who they were !
They did not seem to grasp or want to that there are a lot of other factors besides Covid that have lost the 1000 fans.
Hill turning this lot into a Football Team seems to be their plan
The Meeting was told by Mr Swann that something is happening at Board Level in the next couple of weeks.I certainly won’t be brainwashed by him that’s for sure !
I ve took him up on the offer.
Should be an interesting hour or so.1 user thanked author for this post.
Swann thinks that the 1000 less fans is all down to performances but despite the bad performances a lot of fans saying that it is due to the issue of Coolsilk taking the land into their ownership and the Chairman.
He just can’t understand it !6 users thanked author for this post.
Was at the game last night.
We looked ok up until Cox subbed Scrimshaw for another mid field player.
After that it was just a matter of time before they scored as we hardly went out of our own half.
Their Keeper seemed reluctant in the 2nd half to kick the ball out due to possible the windy conditions but we allowed him to play it out short every time to one of the wing backs.
No pressure put on them at all and then Barrow allowed to bring the ball forward as our players just backed off deeper and deeper.
Change of momentum down to Cox substitution which let Barrow take control not just of the game but the whole pitch.
At one stage in second half there was an occasion when Barrow had a group of 5 of their players wide on the left hand side in our half without an Iron player near them as we were just backing off.
The Manager then comes up with sickness excuse , makes a change from the usual ones !
The Subs running up and down the touch line in front of us did nt look ill ! So if we really had ill players on the pitch surely it would have been better to play the fit ones !
Don’t believe a word the Chairman ever says and beginning to have doubts about Cox and his excuses1 user thanked author for this post.
These 30 shareholder meetings are to try and split the fans.
These Shareholders want to remember that it was not many years ago he tried to get rid of them all !
You can only judge a person on what they have done not what they say they are going to.
In our Chairman’s case nothing he has said such as new ground , apartments , upgrade of present ground has come to fruition.
The only thing that has happened is that he’s left the Club without a single asset apart from the name since he transferred all the land etc to Coolsilk.
Now to try and prevent any protests etc all of a sudden he says he will give it back !
Seems to me the only thing our Chairman is worried about is bad publicity and the National media getting hold of all this.
Begging fans to return and not going himself speaks volumes !5 users thanked author for this post.
14 Days ! He’s had years !
I think Mr Swann and the Club are that deep in the mire.
With his track record of what he SAYS he is going to do and nothing changes in fact it gets worse year after year then why should this total change of direction be believed.
I think this new change of direction comes to try and stop the protests and boycotts.
Also to divide is to conquer and by having the shareholders to meetings in small groups is possibly to divide the fans.
Obviously the Season Ticket Holders and Fans don’t matter ! We don’t even get a Forum any more.4 users thanked author for this post.
