Too bloody early, proper football in July, ridiculous?
I feel shafted, train drivers announced another strike day for the Maidenhead game f ING greedy bastards, at least we should get the train money refunded.
Train drivers are not striking, yet.
ASLEF represents the drivers. RMT are to strike.Mets pitcher Tug McGraw, on whether he prefers grass to AstroTurf: “I don’t know. I’ve never smoked AstroTurf.”
But not performance enhancing.
After all the posturing.

As has been stated on this thread earlier, plenty of verification from different independent journalists, tv networks plus lots of social media about what went on in Paris but if some people have an agenda about Liverpool fans then their prejudice won’t change one iota. Some people are just a sad bunch.
And you are right. Personally it is no secret that I’m a manc. Moved to Scunthorpe aged 4 in 1970 after the closure of Manchester steel, and my dad losing his job on the blast Furness a Earlham. He went on tho work on the Anchor Site then the Pit Arch Plant. Liked to live dangerously my old man. So Man U are my second fav team. I hate the Scousers as much as I hate the Cod Heads.
Far be it for me to contradict a Manc but for Earlham should that not be Irlam?

Recent trends would suggest Tony Daws as a likely candidate.
Has been offered the job in the past, turned it down.
I had a gangly 17 year old Ray Clemence in mind watching Foster. Not sure if it was his debut (but think it was) … a 7 -1 defeat at Grimsby. An awful night. Any other posters there? If Foster is only half as good as Ray then we have a real find.
On that night (evening kick off if I remember right) there was only one senior player in the team, were the rest being punished for lack of effort? That was Brian Bedford, and he scored.
We did have a good youth team then, but not up to senior level.1 user thanked author for this post.
Apart from my aforementioned Neil Warnock effort at Sid James Park, I recall Graham Rusling clearing the bar from inside the six yard box, DRE OSG.
I seem to remember that he not only cleared the bar from directly in front of an open goal, he cleared the Fox Street stand, the ground fell about laughing, including players.
Was definitely a hand ball, deliberate as well, left hand at hip level. Couldn’t believe it wasn’t spotted.
Never thought I would say this Les but I do miss the Berkley.
So do I, the only place I would consider having a pint or two before a game. Unfortunately it’s down to that pillock Humphrey Smith.

Good commitment and effort, also, after the sending off, players able to act as spoilers, wouldn’t have been able to do that two weeks ago.
Well done 👍1 user thanked author for this post.
“Don’t tell him Pyke”
Anyone remember the Don Welbourne/Graham Rathbone incident?
Didn’t that result in a ban that was unusual at the time?
The FA had decided, in their wisdom, to clamp down on violent play. They decided to make an example of two fourth division players and give them what was then a record suspension.
No first division players were given anything like that kind of discipline even though they were the main culprits.
The incident was nothing more than handbags.1 user thanked author for this post.
Nobody wants to come.
I seem to remember Mick Buxton using that excuse.
I thought it was maybe because of his lack of popularity.2 users thanked author for this post.
If I had my way I’d have stopped the Saxons, Angles, Danes, Jutes, Normans, Vikings and Romans. That would leave us true Britons (Celts) to run these islands.
Can we get back to footy.1 user thanked author for this post.
Hey, guess what lads?
My NHS app has updated.
I’ve now had three doses… apparently
Watch your back.
Give me a example of ANY year where common cold deaths are anywhere close to Covid levels. Selfish attitude IMO, thankful that we’ll never meet. Open your eyes to what’s happening in the real world rather than just your house.
Im on about the new moronic variant.
And if you confuse death figures by including first off those who died WITH covid alongside those who died OF covid, then confuse things further by insisting that anyone who dies of anything including road traffic accidents, within 28 days of a positive test, be recorded as a covid death, what do you expect from the more intelligent of us except scepticism?Open YOUR eyes.
And your comment about never meeting? Is that a threat?
You forgot to give any year where common cold deaths exceeded Covid.
How can “thankful we’ll never meet” be regarded as a threat? To me you’re a Covid risk, I have no desire to be near you. Is ignoring factual evidence a sign of intelligence then? That’s an interesting stance. No worries about being near him, he doesn’t bother to support the lads, in fact I can’t understand why he bothers to contribute on this site.
In a slightly different direction, check out the match report in the Telegraph, then check the match report on BBC sport.
Copy and paste, definitely a copyright issue there.52 years old? Thought he was much older, must’ve had a tough paper round.

Well done to the Hungarians for booing the Marxist knee taking for BLM yesterday! Unlike our lily livered libtards who celebrate such submission!
They were top class and loud throughout! Something for their country to be proud of! Shows what happens when you live in a country which allows patriotism and doesn’t allow libtards to hate on their nation! I wish England fans would follow suit!
What’s all this got to do with football? The simple fact of the matter is that Hungary were stuffed four nowt, could’ve/should’ve been eight. Hungary collapsed after the first goal and the “patriotic” fans kicked off, the same has happened in the past with England. The players are embarrassed to be representing idiots.
It’s the football that counts, and fair play. We are better than this stupidity. He will be back on the bench on Saturday, the moral was certainly lifted in the last 5 minutes.
Hadn’t realised that the players had such low morals. Maybe need a quiet word. 😜
I have heard they hope to be bringing over 700 fans with them. Good effort if they do. UTWI
Remember when we played Portsmouth in 2014? We stuffed them 5-1, they were in a real mess as a club with their ownership yet their supporters turned out in numbers.
I met a few before the match, in the Berkeley ( ah, the Berkeley before a match, no longer, thank you Humphrey you little squirt) they were going to support their club through thick or thin, and then for them it was pretty thin, they knew they had a weak team but stood by them Good supporters, eventually the club was turned around.Should’ve voted for the migraine inducing kit, might have given us an advantage.
Uruguay 0-0
France 0-0
Mexico 2-0
Argentina 1-0
Portugal 2-1
W Germany 4-2
Not sure about France but I believe we didn’t concede until the semifinal, a bit like this year.
Beat France two nowt as well, Roger HUnt got one, can’t remember who got the other.
Jimmy Greaves got a game. And the barest minimum of time added on, great game, and well played ref. (Thought he’d get the final.)

Beginning to dream, only the Italians a real obstacle.
Good win tonight, Rome next against the yellow and blues, both are awkward teams especially the Swedes.
After an initial flourish England dropped back to kind, I still can’t see them progressing much further, lack of confidence or too many out of form.
