Can’t see it. It would take a big winning streak and hope that not only the other bottom three and someone like Dorking or Halifax to go on a losing streak. Unless Dean comes in with a striker or two hitting the ground running, but more likely it’ll take a bit of time. Maybe if it was Nov?

‘old trannies are allowed to take part in women’s sports.’

Eh? Do you mean ‘transgender males’ allowed to take part in women’s sports? You complain about an OP on another thread being dehumanising and then drop the bigoted ‘old trannies’. At least you’re consistent 🤣

‘People pretending their agenda is protection to cover their bigotry’

Sweeping generalisation. Some maybe are, but it’s unfair to tar everyone with the same brush. Bit like how it’s unfair to label everyone who voted Leave a bigot, although we know for a fact some undoubtedly are.

‘Last time I looked Channel 4 was set up, i.e. funded, and owned by the state, ‘

Lol, Just admit you got it a bit wrong Bucks. Public money isn’t money from ads and commercial enterprise is it? In my line of work when I’m listing private and public income, ads and sponsorship is always declared as private.

There’s no shame in being wrong. Just like there’s no shame in lambasting all those that dare criticise Swann for all those years, twisting their arguments and trying to make out they had a hidden agenda and merely hate business people.

‘the massive left-wing bias on this board’

I’d hardly call around half a dozen posters with varying degrees of left of centre leanings ‘massive’! I can think of at least 3 right wingers who often post on here so it doesn’t stick Bucks.

Lol, which joker on Twitter invited Hilton in to the Iron Bar for a drink tomorrow? What are you thinking? Trying to give him ‘buyers remorse’?! Spare him the bleakness for a while eh?

Will he? You don’t know that. I hardly think Cass and Knuts should be ‘shamed’ either. Can have a healthy discussion without shaming others can’t we?

NLI – IMO that’s going too far to claim Lee hasn’t got the knowledge and skills required.

Well you’re wrong then aren’t you. It’s state owned but privately funded by ads. It’s not public funded as you claimed

It does take a bit of time Ben. Not sure how long in this case and if it’s something to be concerned about or not. If it’s like that in a month or two I’d be concerned!

I’d agree. It might help him understand the issue fans have and for them to hear his explanation. Don’t know if he was surprised by some booing he got last night – if so, I’d find that a concern.

‘What if we get deducted three points for the pitch invasion say, and are relegated by a point?’

We nearly lost the club forever, so what will be will be in that regard. The protesters on the pitch did what they thought was necessary and I think the majority agreed with them. Not really interested in the other ‘what if’ examples you’ve cited. The situation was a unique one. It needs to be viewed in the context of the very prospect of losing the club and a section of supporters mobilising in desperate circumstances.

Anyway, though I think Lee made a huge mistake in the content and threat of police door knocking in his statement, I’d still prefer he stayed. There is a possibility he and supporters grow stronger through this, as long as the majority forgive and move on.

I’d rather not see him go. Prefer if he stayed in some capacity. Yes, he made a huge mistake, but the club can only benefit from him staying. Forgive and move onwards and upwards.

Oh ye, avoid opening two at once JI! Done that a few times. There’s a fair dolop of Cash about the Cherry Ghost track sung in Simon Aldred’s inimitable style. Lots of time for him / them

Club Comms 1: ‘it’s all over the Internet that Hilton’s close to a deal – shall we put something out, anything?’

Club Comms 2: ‘Nah – Peter says no’.
