    You didn’t watch the video,obviously.
It was a debate between an atheist and a Christian.
Who had the better argument for the existence of God?
    I await your response.

I don’t think hectoring is going to impell anyone to watch bpg. I’d add to your comments about it being a debate of an atheist and Christian is that, thats not strictly true. There’s also an annoying pro Christian twerp in a box chipping in his two pennorth worth

I don’t believe in a god, the god I least believe in is the Christian God, because it’s the god I’ve been taught the most about. I am not ruling out the possibility of a god, I just don’t believe it to be true. Technically I’m agnostic (I don’t claim to be 100% correct because nobody knows for sure – even fundamentalists), but I use the term atheist, as my main “belief” is there is no god.
But my morality is not based on the commandments (the first 4 commandments don’t seem that moral). The question “would you commit murder, rape or robbery if you knew that no God existed?” very few people would answer “yes”, undermining the claim that religion is needed to make us behave morally. I worry about people who think they would rape and murder if there is no god, as that is not morality, that is just being scared of punishment. Having said that, if the only thing stopping bpg from raping and pillaging is watching fundamentalist videos, then please carry on watching your videos.

Pretty much where I’m at and doubt I’ll change before I die. if anything I’m likely to become less believing that there may be a God, if painful effects of a killer disease kicks in.

I’d rather read Burney’s analysis of the game than others’ analyses of our legal system!

At least you get a laugh out of the former

are you suggesting DM66 that he transferred the clubs assets to pay for his wreckless spending and debt.

Not particularly that bit. More interested what influence and powers the new ‘Directors’ have

‘WGs .. still not sold on your HMS piss the league but that performance hasnt done it any harm’

I am more than I was. Bottom line is its full timers v part timers every match and that’s a huge advantage. Particularly evening matches and as the season progresses. Our players should always be fitter and sharper than whoever they’re playing, especially when other teams are flagging and hitting walls after Christmas period

‘With a good board of directors, it will avoid another case where one man can run up a vast debt, with his wreckless spending and then transfer the debt to the club and transfer the clubs assets to himself’.

Hope so. Do you know what their terms of reference are and if they have voting rights at meetings? Be interested to know what their governance rights are.

Happy to keep logging on, seeing and contributing to positive and negative posts about on and off field matters and ignoring the few ‘anti DH posts’, unless I feel like commenting on them. Simple really.

You sound like a conspiracy theorist. You were rightly critical at the time of Swann, but so were many others, whilst others chose to ignore it. Regardless, there’s a huge irony in this point.

Many others??? who exactly, there were a couple of us who called out Swann from day one, from speaking to Trinity supporters who had experience of him running their club, hard evidence, most the fans didn’t start wanting Swann out until we started plummeting down the leagues.

There is no Irony involved at all, I have no hard evidence to give me concern about Hilton, I have spoken to Ilkeston fans who had nothing but praise for him, I have also spoken to him and found him open and genuine. I am not going to judge him on rumours made up from people who don’t even support the club but claim to be in the know.

I’m as bored of seeing posts like the above as you probably are me and others who are posting things you don’t want to see. I’m also bored of critiquing posts with comments about Trinity and ilkeston fans and ‘told you so’ remarks. Looks like we’ll have to beg to differ. The difference is I don’t mind if you keep posting. You seem to have an issue with me and certain others posting what we think. Your problem, not mine.

Glad I didn’t get suckered in to donating, i try not to give to any charities where they have paid employees to run them.

Lol, yeah, cos completely volunteer ran charities are much less open to corruption 😄

‘He took on a complete and utter shit show from that arsehole’

A ‘shitshow’. Really? Across all departments? Is that not a sweeping generalisation? I’ve no doubt some areas would have been, but unless you work there, and I assume you don’t, what makes you such an expert? No one’s denying savings needed to be made mind.

‘who most of you now slating Hilton worshipped for such a long time before waking up to the truth.’

You sound like a conspiracy theorist. You were rightly critical at the time of Swann, but so were many others, whilst others chose to ignore it. Regardless, there’s a huge irony in this point.

‘Let’s be very clear the position this club is in is nothing to do with Hilton, he is trying to sort the mess out left behind and it cannot all be done straight away.

It is Hilton’s responsibility now and comments regarding off field matters isn’t stopping him in any way shape or form.

‘None of you know what the CCJ relates too even those of you like SNOT who claims to have “inside” information on everything at the club but in reality knows sod all and doesn’t even attend games and has been proven to be a liar on this site.’

Agreed, no one seems to know what it relates to but as some of us are pointing out, it’s about more than that. It’s about what other debts there may be, others who are not bring paid, etc.

Yes, that’s absolutely fantastic I-A,and being discussed on other threads. On this thread an off field matter is being g discussed. We probably will keep discussing things like this till the cows come home if we think it warrants discussion and I’m sure most if us realise it might not make a difference, but that’s what forums are for, lest we forget.

Savings, cost cutting and cutting cloth shouldn’t come with not paying what you owe and a ‘whatevs’ attitude IMO. False economy and unsustainable. Though people are perfectly entitled to stick their heads in the sand and hope the suns still shining. Evidence shows that serves no club well

With respect, with the exception of a few, no one is not giving Hilton a chance. Supporters are entitled to express opinions about off field matters and will continue to do so, whether you want them to or not. I don’t agree with the ‘shut up and butt out’ ethos and suspect many others don’t either

Or, do the reduced resources just have to find ways of operating quicker and spinning those plates better, as there’s no option to add more help?

It is clear Hilton doesn’t want to spend money on anything he doesn’t feel is necessary – academy, groundsman, ticket office staff, stewards etc.

I know you disagree, so this isn’t a go at you, but many of these are important components of the club. We can’t just neglect them and we won’t be sustainable truly if we’re just cutting corners on vital roles.

Agree with those sentiments. I asked similarly related questions on the thread Daz complained about no one at the club getting back to him. I get savings have to be made but question if the cuts are all in the right places and whether some just can’t be made if the club is to be sustainable at the levels required to generate revenue needed to move up the leagues
