Some good posters on that thread which is nicely balanced by the clown who thinks we were unsustainable during our “glory years” due to funding the club through players sales and cup runs🤣

The big questions for me are: Can the land and the assets be funded through Hilton’s pocket if the 1899 doesn’t sell enough memberships? which we all know it won’t
Who will own the stadium and the land if they are purchased without enough 1899 memberships?
What are the developments entailed for the land ?
I think we all got abit excited when the club was purchased and have turned a blind eye since
All sorts of rumours doing the rounds. I assume we’ve all heard something but for obvious reasons daren’t put it into print.
Not got a good feeling about it tbh.
I’d go after my original choice of Craig Elliot currently performing miracles at Buxton in the NLN.
Isn’t that basically what we did when we brought in Dean?
Round and round we go.

Shouldn’t just be the bench. There’s 10 other professionals on the field, who’s got the initiative to sprint over and give him a bollocking?
We’ve tried and tested everything from home grown to experience- None have succeeded here. Maybe we need to look at the whole structure at the club rather just finding another scapegoat after 10 games.
The calibre of players; the amount of players; how we are developing these players- isn’t working.
It’s up to Hilton to revamp the whole rotten structure and put in place some kind of strategy- a director of football to oversee it would be a good shout but have we really got the budget for that anymore?
Time will tell anyway. I just don’t see how another managerial casualty will change our fortunes at this moment in time.
Both shite sides; Once again we failed to take chances as we failed at Solihull.
No urgency, no leaders, no quality. Bilson’s time wasting just summed up what a calamitous shit show we are.
We will go down this year and deservedly so. We have been shite for 90% of the season and that includes most of the spell Nelson was in charge.
I don’t know if Dean’s the answer but we were relegated in January, the Nelson would’ve kept us up theory doesn’t hold water for me. He did the best he could with the tools available but we never hit the form where survival was a realistic aim. Our team was absolutely abysmal, we aren’t much better at the minute but Hilton either had to roll the dice or stick and accept NLN back in January. He chose to throw everything at survival so credit for giving it a go, it’s not worked out but it was always a long shot.
In my opinion one of our biggest problems is the turnovers of players, we have no identity at all. Too many short term contracts and loans and the team is in a constant state of flux. We must have used an average of 30-35 players a season over the past few years; it’s ridiculous. Throw in a good 5/6 managers/ probably more to the mix and you start to paint a clear picture why we look like a bunch of strangers most weeks.
Unless things catastrophic go wrong between now and May, then I want to see our coaching set up in place over the summer and for the start of next year. Dean/Plummer/Nelson will know who’s worth keeping and who’s not, there’s plenty of time to find the right player , and more importantly the right character to build for next year. Give them a proper pre season to build a team and judge them then.
As mentioned earlier, Dean may prove to be out his depth- I don’t know yet. But to be calling for his head now is for me, mind boggling.

It was a free kick but he stood there clapping instead of asking for the kick to be taken.
Touch of class by Notts county supporters for joining in and the referee for stopping the game.

The kids at half time were
Brilliant, best bit of the game. It’s the scunthorpe way that anytime we have a decent crowd turn up then the team doesn’t, 2-0 down after 10 minutes just kills the game.
Not going to read too much in it tactically, they are an exceptional footballing side for this level and would beat most in league 2 comfortably . Even if we turned up today then we get beat quite easily; the gulf in class was staggering.

Free hit is usually always abit of a cop out but that’s what tomorrow is. Play with the same belief and tenacity as we did against Wrexham and we stand half a chance.
Enjoy it tomorrow Iron fans and get behind the team, it will be a great occasion to be apart of.

£220 to stand at 6th tier football? I dunno, it sounds a lot to me.
£9.50 a game for an adult. Seems fair to me.

Lack of trust from the card companies ?
I believe attendances will increase next year ironfan.
Let’s be honest, there’s no difference if the opposition is Kings Lynn or Wealdstone. I’m going to make fairly safe assumption we will be winning more games next year, couple this with the stayaways returning since Swann’s departure and I wouldn’t be shocked if we average 3,500-4,000 next year.

Can’t really grumble at those prices; If we finish the season strongly, whether we survive or not, I expect us to shift a couple of thousand
Final batch of 150 tickets released now. Roughly half of that remaining and likely to be sold out soon.
We don’t really need competition for our player of the season with 9 games to go. Strange to bring in 2 midfielders but if it pays off then I’ll doth the cap.
Nuttall has been getting stick on social media from Oldham fans, you know he will be fired up against us though.
Bunker MOTM on his first start back at forest green too.
Can tell the manager is starting to make his mark on the team now. Nothing over complicated, Everyone knew what their role was, simple shape, and we displayed a ruthless streak rarely seen in games. It was not dissimilar to the 1st half at Solihull but crucially we took our chances.
Bennett is exactly the type of striker we need in this system, and he put in a great shift today. Cam will now be attracting interst from others so hopefully he has contract beyond June. Leake is a very good defender for this level and is now showing he has abit of nous up higher up too with his runs- again, clearly progressing under Dean’s management.
It’s good we are starting to get some consistency with the team selection now and In hindsight Bunker and Fewster returning will not be a bad thing.
Still believe we are down but if we can maintain that level of performance then punters will turn out next year to watch us.
Sorry not at our ground Pat under 18s Cost 6 pounds only under 12s free, no doubt you can blag it if I’ve got a spare free one I give it to the iron youth in the queue.
Wrong again old boy.
Adult and 2 U18 for free. Look under promotional packages.
We could win every game next year, but it’s still regional football at a part time level, so £22 is too much .
There’s a floating support at the minute waiting to be tapped in too, next year is a good opportunity to get 4,000 through the door every game. With early bird prices being delayed, I expect the club are waiting to see what league we are in which will mean a price reduction.
The concession prices at the club cannot be faulted, but again, £22 adult prices for regional football won’t wash with many.
Still not a patch on Walsall though, their supporters are in uproar with their recently released prices- £520 for league 2 football

Draw’s not good enough, have to be going there with the intention of it being a must win.
They’ve just lost Dallas and have Osbourne suspended (their MOTM when they did us 4-3).

Have to be reduced When most of the league is part time, you can’t expect people to be paying £22.
Hilton hinted that the club cannot operate at its current capacity so changes are coming regardless. The academy could be one of the first casualties
However, A big saving would be to stop making unnecessary signings.

Not in that shielding role we haven’t. Only Pugh and Whitehouse who could play there wo are fit.
We may have to go to just the 1 sitter in Pugh and play somebody slightly ahead of him or go to a more conventional 4/3/3. 4/3/3 makes more sense Butterfield, Pugh and Whitehouse ?
Shrimpton won’t be match fit and Fewster got picked the other game out of nowhere and looked miles off it.
Think you try and over complicate things sometimes WG. Whitehouse and Shrimpton can play both there, no problem.
I’d especially want to see Shrinpton have another run of games before the end of the year because I suspect there is a very good player waiting to be unearthed.
On his Instagram. Shame as he was putting in some solid displays; however, centre mid is our most congested position so it gives a chance for Whitehorse and Shrimpton to battle it out for the spot.

He got some pelters on Saturday but Credit to Dean for getting a response 2nd half; their hands dropped when we got in front and it looked comfortable there on in.
Back 4 all had a good game, as did Bennett. Midfield still looks disjointed and there were far too many gaps which allowed altrincham to play, without ever really threatening.
Results against us tonight so unfortunately we haven’t gained any ground, but we all know the writing is on the wall anyway, just need to start looking at getting a settled team, picking up a few more wins and build some momentum ready for the NLN adventure next year.

Bennet2600 poor souls freezing their balls off.
Can see it being higher, especially if we are winning more games
Regardless, why would we be part time with 2k crowds?
