I can understand the Barrows loan; broke his leg in November and needs the minutes, highly unlikely to displace Ogle either.

So why did we sign him in the first place, given we’ve apparently got very little money and are cutting staff costs left, right & centre?

Plays right back/centre back. Offers cover in both positions. Can justify that signing.

It’s the abundance of midfielders that baffle me. How many minutes are Pugh, Robertson, Wallace getting this year ?

Signing another midfielder is just baffling. Back to warehousing players again.

I like an edge to the atmosphere but We need to be careful with behaviour inside the ground, going on the pitch is a big no no and teams/authorities will soon start putting restrictions on us. I saw someone throw a beer in the direction of our own GK which was stupidity and he was rightly pissed off.

Only seemed to be a dozen or so Tamworth fans out to create a name for themselves, we were in a couple of pubs down the road packed full of Scunny fans and there was no bother. I’m sure the pubs appreciated the custom.

Horses for courses; worked well pre season but yesterday we should have changed early.

Think we need to look at training on 4g more too, the ball ran horribly on the pitch yesterday and we didn’t look comfortable.

Can’t believe number 19 is still playing. Clearly not lifted a finger pre season and looked to be towing a caravan all game.

Need to be ruthless against players like that and stick 2 up top and hit the channels.

    No mercy

Reality check for many people today. Awful first half performance, no idea how we equalised but it couldn’t have come at a better time.

2nd half slightly better, good subs from Dean to change the game. 100% we lose that game during the last few years.

Psychologically it will do us the world of good, move on now to the 2 home games.

If it is true, I’d blame whoever holds the responsibility for ensuring the standards are met. Stadium manager?

Not sure why it isn’t in print Awayswego, then again neither was the rumours about the ground, the training ground being moved or the academy being shut, all turned out to be true.

My cards on the table: I really want it to work out with Hilton, our future is tied with how deep his pockets are and whether he has the will to turn this club around.

Once more, Siderite, the club announced where the SAG inspection would affect the fans on the 21st of July. Why would people expect them to announce something more 15 days later?

Probably because it’s come to light they were looking to impose capacity restrictions on us. I’ve heard it from more than one source myself. I’d presume the club has time to rectify the issues and prevent anything happening prior to the 12th.

    ian wants his money back

I know. Firstly, does he have a leg to stand on in a legal aspect?

Secondly, if he does, can a loan be converted to shares with the option of extra investment if both parties were amicable

Think the Neil Wright experiment showed why it won’t work; supporters want transparency and that’s in direct conflict with the boards role. Have meetings with fan’s groups by all means though.

Good to see another member appointed, especially from the local area.

York wasn’t a sell out, Still had a couple of hundred left in the side stand.

We sold everything Notts gave us, around 1750.

What have we been allocated for alfreton? Start well and that should sell out being one of the closest this year.

Maybe I did notmake things clear?, I don’t think we are going to try and stick 11 yoing players together, we have some good experienced players who we will keep, but maybe introduce some young players instead of older experienced players joining… which will in some way explain Leroy Lita leaving.
Leroy has been brilliant here, and stated that it has been great to play at our club, and he’s a nice guy as well.
We are trying a different approach to see how it goes?
You seen a decent guy, and your posts are reasonable and good to read.

    That’s fair enough.

What level do most Ilkeston fans see as their natural level in the pyramid?

Most of us on here can testify that sticking 11 young lads together rarely ends well in professional football. Rushall will most certainly be the exemption to the rule.

It looks like Leroy Lita may be leaving too, and again, some of your fans seem concerned. That doesn’t take away any of the good work going on behind the scene, as like I said previously, I was impressed with the set up you have there.

Many of our fans are worried we have no ground to legally call our own. This doesn’t make us toxic, or divided. Just genuine supporters expressing concern like some Ilkeston fans are expressing at the minute

I don’t believe any Scunthorpe fans would wish ill feeling towards Ilkeston, Patrick. Probably the opposite in fact.

It was noticeable a few of your supporters were concerned on social media though.

I actually spoke to Mark briefly when Hilton first took over. He had nothing but good things to say in regards to Hilton’s time at Ilkeston. The only shadow cast was the ground development plans being shelved for a couple of reasons.

I’d be shocked if Elliot played out wide this year. If we are going with a variation of 4-5-1 Elliot and and Whitehall should be interchangeable.

    Fitzsimmon

    Ogle kouogun evans Kelly

    Clunan Shrimpton

    Laws. Scales. Wilson

    Whitehall/Elliot.

Only seen a couple of games but the standouts were Wilson, Denton and Scales. It sounds like the majority have had a solid pre season though

Even considering the 1899 scheme, I fail to see how he came in for a quick profit. The tax bill and wages alone will have put him 7 figures in the red with no hope of recouping that back.

Additionally, He has openly said his pockets aren’t deep for a football club owner, that’s no secret.

Perhaps he underestimated the job/debts when he purchased the club. After all, something deterred Elliot’s consortium after their bid was initially accepted.

All looks positive on social media; cracking finish from Shrimpton too.

If anyone went, what formation did we go with?
