Also why would Hill start him in our first home friendly if he was just here to train and get his fitness up? Sign him up!
Hallam being given a two year deal is one of the most baffling decisions this club has made over the past couple of years!
A lot of “our” club was repeated in the statement…sorry Lee but it ain’t “our” club until ol’ Swanny has packed his bags and gone!

Much better than recent offerings! Quite like the yellow (which I think is the away kit, the white is the 3rd).
Wow, would have him back in a heartbeat!

As for the goalkeeper issue …
You seen the Boro U23 highlights? All 3 goals absolutely comical, two being the keepers’ fault.

It suits your argument to forget Townsend, Wallace, Keogh, Sharp, Hooper, Hayes, Holmes, Toney, Paterson, Yates, Hodges etc.
Please bore off. Your argument is invalid when all of those players were already fully fledged professionals with Football League experience before we signed them (with the exception of Keogh).
Solihull have also signed two in the last day, so that now leaves us at the bottom of the new signings table.
Well Wrexham have just signed one of League 2’s top centre backs so you can strike them off your list.
Even York are signing experienced Football League campaigners…we’re just wallowing in the doldrums, again!
He was still crap…could barely dive!
Agreed, that wasn’t even a foul…the Hungarian dude ran into him!
They’re more than welcome to him. He’s been an absolute calamity these past two seasons…just trundles around the pitch with no effort or tenacity to his game whatsoever!
Thought he did alright when he was with us before, definitely an OK signing but nothing to get the ol’ ticker racing.

Callum Howe, missed opportunity? He’s a non-league clogger…maybe useful in our current plight but there’s a reason he was released whilst we were in League 1…same with Waterfall. As if they were ever going to get in front of the likes of Mirfin, Canavan and Wallace.

World Cup semi-finalists. Euros finalists.
It looks alright on paper but we should have 100% beaten Croatia and made it to the World Cup final. And that Euro final was a travesty…we went 1-0 up then immediately sat back and failed to have another single shot on target for the rest of the game including extra time. 39% possession playing boring football with a boring manager!

Ugbo was useless here but is now scoring coals in the Belgian and French top flight. It’s a funny ol’ game!
Yippee!
Bullshit! Try and tell that to Bury fans who romped to promotion from League 2 then poof…goodbye football club!

Both started their careers at Scunthorpe? Waterfall played for about 5 different clubs before arriving, but don’t let that get in the way of your narrative.
We had the best centre back pairing in League 2 whilst they were here in Mirfin and Canavan, so it isn’t hard to see why they didn’t get much action.
Came off me hair guv!
Miller left too soon? How does that work considering he was here on loan and played the entire season??
Unbelievable the number of players we’ve let go who go on to flourish
Is the number really that high?
Other than Matt Godden, Lyle Taylor and Charlie Goode I’m struggling to think of anyone else we “let go” who have gone on to do particularly well in the Football League.
We need less Voses and more Woolfords, although I don’t think he came cheap back then so we’ve got no chance getting that calibre of player these days!
Cox this past season – 0.74 points per game.
Hill this past season – 0.44 points per game.
Cox was the pretty much the worst manager in our history…that was until Keith Hill came along! How anyone has any faith in this man is baffling. He replaced a lot of Cox’s dross with his even worse dross in January (most oh whom he had an affiliation with from previous roles). Putting out the team he did on Saturday was insulting to everyone involved in that game, culminating in my complete lack of faith that he is the man to potentially turn our fortunes around!

Too many people have got upset about awful results when the season was already dead. Playing young uns was exactly the right course to take. Planning for next season
Codswallop! Results were awful (and worse than Cox!) before he decided to throw every youngster possible into the firing line.

Never been so embarrassed to be a Scunny fan at a game before. If these youngsters are the basis of our squad for next season then we may as well not bother.
He’s rubbish. Won’t be missed by me.

Until the Head of Recruitment changes changes I’ll very much remain a pessimist. Even if we all of a sudden had money to burn do you really have any confidence the current incumbent of that role would put together a decent squad of footballers!?
You only have to look at Everton and Man United to see that you can spend all the money in the world but if your recruitment is pants then you’re going to struggle. Our recruitment since Alexander left has been absolutely shocking!
