Think he’s actually the type of player we need and have been missing since Connor Smith went back up North.
If he’s fit and half the player he was when first here then it’s a fine signing imo, especially being on non-contract terms with no real risk.
The big question is where does he fit into this turgid Butler formation!?

He scored no important goals? You’re talking absolute nonsense.
2-2 vs Boston. Scored both.
1-1 vs Blyth. Scored our only goal.
2-1 vs Gloucester. Scored the equaliser.
1-1 vs Chorley. Scored our only goal.
2-2 vs Alfreton. Scored our 2nd.
2-0 vs Rushall. Scored our opener in the 90th minute. All I know is that he scored a fair few important goals for us last season. If we’re to play 2 up top then it needs to be Whitehall plus someone new (Carlton is no striker and neither is Beestin. Also haven’t seen anything from Fish to suggest he can play alongside Whitehall).

Danny Elliott would have been perfect…oh wait!

Fitz trying to trump his blunder that cost us the game here last season…no need to take a touch!
Quadrupled the number of away goals we’ve conceded all season in just 15 minutes! Madness!
Sneaky 1-0 win in both games against them last season, would be delighted with another tomorrow!
After 12 games last season under Dean we had 20 points. This season under Butler we have 25 whilst only conceding a whopping total of 5 goals.
I know which start I’d rather have!

We will not be top of the table at 5pm!
Next time put a couple of extra exclamation marks, it might come true then.
We will not be top of the table at 5pm!
How can you say this with such conviction? Unless Chester win by a four goal margin we can lose and still be top come the end of the day.
We created a lot of chances, but conceded a fair few too…defence was way too exposed for my liking.
Passing was atrocious, seriously school boy stuff! And a shame their keeper managed to pull off a world class save at the end.
Definitely room for improvement and we rode our luck at times, but we would have dropped points in that type of game last season.
The signs of a successful season are there though, especially after breaking the curse of the North East and now the Curzon hoodoo!

Slang for something that you particularly dislike or disgusts you…a “pet peeve”.

Not sure if the above post is tongue in cheek, but I’m fairly sure that Whitehall’s reply was directly in response to Fitz saying his ‘ick’ was players wearing their socks at ankle height (which Whitehall does).
The back three is looking particularly strong, and what a signing Nicholson is turning out to be.
It’s not being mentioned much that we’ve only conceded 1 goal in over 600 minutes of football…that is rather impressive!

Hill definitely the worst for me in my lifetime. Hurst was also terrible, if you look back now at the squad he had there’s no way we should have been languishing at the bottom end of League 2 during that time.
Great result, not as great a performance but won’t be grumbling too much after our poor performances in the NE last season. We pressed really well when SS were trying to play it out from the back but when they had it in the final third I thought we allowed them too much space and time on the ball.
He didn’t score but that was one of Whitehall’s best games in an Iron shirt. If we didn’t mess up the final pass a couple of times we could have easily scored 4 or 5. Looking forward to the game under Friday night lights now!

Commentators seemed to suggest so, didn’t see it myself.
9 points from 9 and 3 clean sheets, so happy days. But…jeez that was tough watch towards the end. Scored the goal and immediately put 11 men behind the ball often inside our own half. Why do we always do it regardless of who’s in charge!? Please can we also not see Evans in centre midfield again?
Brackley shaded it and were moving the ball around pretty well until we scored our second. Game changing moment was the Fitz double save either side of Nicholson’s goal line clearance. Very different game if that went in (and it really should have…it’s on the Brackley highlights on their YouTube channel for anyone who’s interested).
He’s also about three divisions out of our league!
I also had to re-register. Verification code email went straight into my junk folder though so make sure to check that.
We have Whitehall who blows a bit hot and cold, Carlton who is a winger that AB wants to use as a striker, and Fishburn who has practically zero experience at this level or above. And don’t put Beestin in the mix, he hasn’t competently performed in his natural position for the past 3 seasons let alone out of position as a striker!
Glad they’re taking a look at someone else.

Sneaked the fee up to £9.99 which is pretty outrageous for 1 camera coverage and often no commentary.
Same price as last season.
Nope, last season was £9.50.
Got my ticket, not particularly expecting much though. Not a fan of 3-5-2 at this level, although it seemed to work for Boston last season.
If so then we won’t get anything, sell ons are on profit made…which in this case is £0.
DOLE (doh!)…too late for a crafty edit!
The only people happy with this decision are either retired, on the doll, or don’t work the standard Monday – Friday like the majority of the UK.
(I’m only guessing he’s on a decent wage as he arrived as one of the best LBs in NL.)
One of the best left backs in the NL? Where did that nugget of information come from? He started less than half of Eastleigh’s games in the season prior to joining us.
